1 Park near Newfields, New Hampshire

Stayed recently, and definitely will not return. The mosquito problem is so significant that you almost can't leave your tent/RV -both day and night, and beyond the typical dusk/dawn mosquito feeding times. Took the dog for a walk at 8am in bright sunshine and we were both attacked by swarms of mosquitos - literally dozens. Off repellent with 30% deet was only marginally effective, and we could not sit by the fire due to the sheer volume of mosquitos.
Campground was clean, with good level sites for tents. The small staff was accommodating, friendly, and helpful, but we were prisoners inside our tent most of the time due the the mosquito problem. We were also sold firewood on-site that still needed a good month to dry/season and would barely light. This may be a good campground for the seasonal camper who owns a boat, due to boat ramp (but in water that you cannot swim in), but beyond that, there are far better choices out there. The owners really need to treat the campground for mosquitos and deal with this significant problem. In 20 years of camping, we have never seen such a significant mosquito issue. - Mr Joe P

The staff were very friendly and outgoing. You come in as a customer and leave feeling like a friend. The bathrooms and showers were clean and there was no charge for showers unlike many campgrounds in the area. Pool was clean. The grounds were well maintained. My family enjoyed their stay and we would happily stay there again. - country camper69

Not very impressed. Reserved late for holiday w/e so we got last site avail which was decent size, full hookup, level, clean, and a little shade. Sandwiched between 2 seasonals in an open area and in front of pool. Pros: friendly staff, surprisingly very quiet. Camp store and Deli was nice. Cons: pool was a bit dirty and looked messy with mismatched plastic chairs and people hanging out and smoking. Felt like someone's private area. Bathrooms needed cleaning and updating. Some of the seasonals looked a bit run down. Sites were right on top of each other. While I didn't care for this place, it wasn't all that bad. Not our type of place. Not that hard to find. Cross bridge, see Shell, take first entrance, stay to right and go down the unmarked dirt road. - April n John
