The campground had nice spacious sites and riverfront views. The water pressure was a little bit on the low side but might have been related to the pressure regulator on the spigot. The electric did fluctuate from time to time according to my voltage meter but my voltage protector never disconnected due to low voltage. I did use the showers but not the bathrooms and the showers were pay showers and could have used some painting. The sites on the riverfront are beautiful and allow easy water access and a great view. The store is small with limited supplies and items. The gentleman owner who checked me in seemed friendly. The Wi-Fi was a little weak on the site which I was in. The campground does have a nice large beach area and swimming area. Overall it was a beautiful campground with good water views and access. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 4 nights in a site for big rigs. Welcome to the park of sand and dust. If you do not want sand and dust then request the sites that are southeast of the office, sure wish we had! If you are looking for a quiet and clean park where you can sit outside and relax just beware this park is full of noisy kids. During off-season I imagine this park would be very quiet, but the sand and dust is not worth it for us. Our satellite did not work here (to many large trees to get reception). If you have a dog there is ample area to walk your pet. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Motorhome.

The site was very large and roomy. The campground was kept clean and the people were friendly. The bathrooms were clean but the shower were pay showers (although 1$ for 5 + minutes is not bad) and the shower floor was a little gritty. We had a nice shady site and we really enjoyed stay. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a clean campground with a beach on the Saco River. We are a 40' MH and need 50 amp. They only have 20/30 amp, but since we couldn't get a site elsewhere, we thought we could survive on 1 a/c. As it turned out, it wasn't that hot, but we were able to use an adapter and have 50 amp anyway. This is really a camping area, as their name suggests, and not set up for big rigs. Yes, you will fit, as we had a large, spacious pull-through site and had no trouble leveling. Sites are dirt. Getting in was easy, but getting out took some maneuvering. There were a few back-in sites closer to the entrance that would've been easier to exit. There's not much grass anywhere, but lots of trees for shade. It rained, and we had a large puddle near our door. We asked a worker to fill it with dirt, and within an hour, it was filled. Now, that's good service. The WiFi was really good as was the cable TV. Good Verizon cell service. Friendly, efficient check in with helpful staff. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Campground is on the Saco River with a wide beach. Camp sites are dirt and sand, some sites have grass. All sites have full hookups. The sites by the river are the most favored among families. The best sites in my mind are numbered 86 to 91; they are grass in part sunlight and away from the crowds at the river sites. The campground is well managed. Our site had a problem with electrical service. One phone call to the office before office hours took care of the problem. Repair was done that morning without any further problem.

The beach area is composed of sand by the waters edge and a mixture of sand and small gravel on the majority of the beach. The river water is the clearest I have ever seen with a nice current for tubing or kayaking and swimming near the beach which is out of the current. A service is provided by the campground to take you up the river about seven miles for a float down to the campground.

Utilities in the campground are good; Wi-Fi is strong throughout and cable TV is all new cable with a good number of channels. AT&T had good reception.

Conway and North Conway have all the services you could require, also good restaurants and brew pubs.

We were there for two weeks and enjoyed the area. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Cog Railroad to the top of Mount Washington was excellent. The Conway Scenic Railroad in North Conway offers many different tours and is a good value. The service on both trains was top notch.

Stayed here for a weekend on a pull through full service site. Cable had ample channels and wifi was excellent. The new owners have only purchased this park approximstely a year ago and are in the process of making some positive changed. This park is wooded and feels like a state park. Each site has a fire ring and table and are spacious. The surface of our site which was on the Soco Rivet was mostly sand and can be messy. Overall this was a good place to stay and we would visit again. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Fifth Wheel.

The Beach Camping Area is a nice small family run campground. This is the owners' first year so they are still in the learning process. They are helpful and more than pleasant. Yes, the campground could certainly make some much needed upgrades but all good things take time and they are slowly working on it. I have camped here for more than 30 plus years and can say that there is no where else I would rather be than at the Beach Camping Area along the Saco River. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

This is the first time we have stayed here. I read the reviews and was a little skeptical. While the whole park is wooded, the sites are all very open. The weekend we stayed they were not busy at all, and we could easily see 2/3 of the entire campground from our site. The river access was nice, and the kids loved playing in the water. The playground is in need up repair/upgrading. Everything there needed maintenance & repair. The shuffleboard courts were in complete disrepair. The game room is completely abandoned, locked shut with a pool table flipped on its side. The bathrooms & showers could use more cleaning. I will stop short of calling them dirty, but they could definitely be better. The rain came down for a day and a half while we were there. Our site was fine, but you could see that many other sites flooded. if there were folks camping in those sites they would not be happy. All in all I liked the particular site we were on, and would camp on that site again. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

Very dark, dank campground. Poorly marked sites and roads. All sandy as if it had been flooded recently. Staff were OK, but not really interested in our business. Very poor wifi coverage and SLOW. very little grounds maintenance, trash disposal only at entrance. I will not go back here again. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 4 nights in a 27' travel trailer. We had to have our trailer brakes worked on and it was very convenient to Camping World for service. It is also convenient to other major attractions which we took advantage of. We did the Mt. Washington Auto Drive and Kancamagus Road. There is a lot to do in N. Conway, just 5 minutes away. The staff was friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean. There were pay showers. Unfortunately, there is only one shower/bathroom building for the whole campground. It didn't affect us, but there were a lot of tent campers and tenters using it. They have new washers/dryers in the laundry ($2) The Saco River is just a short walk away in the campground where you will find a stony beach to go swimming, floating, canoeing, kayaking, etc. The sites are mostly level and large, but there is really no buffer between sites. All sites are hard packed sand from when Hurricane Irene came by and caused the Saco River to flood the campground. It can be kind of dirty and if it rains (like it did for us) it can make a mess of things. That would be our only complaint about the place. The campground was busy, but it was quiet. We would come back again. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

Our site was very sandy, and not real level. We had a water front site, but you had to literally stand to see over the vegetation to see the Saco River. Management was very friendly, camp was full on a Saturday late afternoon. Did have a tendency to smell sewage (not near our site which was at the far end of the campground, but near the entrance). Would camp here again if in the area. We were traveling through and stayed only two nights. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

Clean campground with generally level sites and heavy pine tree cover. Roads and sites are dirt so they can be muddy in rain. It rained hard while we were here and water drained away and surface dried up quickly. Very good cable TV and generally good WiFi. Site map shows about 8 sites on the Saco River, but river access is over large boulders. Two narrow paths between sites lead to the river beach. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Motorhome.

We pulled in during the pouring rain past dark which made backing into our site difficult, but we made it work. We were unable to get close enough to use the sewer, even though available on the site. Great beach area. We kayaked down the Saco river with a large group of friends. We have our own bathroom, so it does not affect us, but there is only one bathhouse which meant a long walk in the middle of the night for many in our group. Overall good campground, great if you are planning to utilize the river for kayaking or canoeing. We will be back next summer. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived and this campground was packed. Very open and our site was not what I expected. We had a full hookup but it was difficult to figure out where our hookups were. Another camper was using our hookups? Had to get management to come out: they figured at first we didn't know what we where talking about. Also noticed right away that our site had a great view of the dumpsters: pretty much on our site. Smelled really bad and was also a high traffic area due to people throwing out their trash. Management should have at least put up a fence! We had made reservation for two nights, but only stayed one and left first thing in the morning. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.
