Wow, what a delight! I've had to write a few stinker reviews lately, so now, while I really should be working, I'm delighted to be writing this. My stay here started out amazing, and just got better. The reservation phone call, my greeting upon arrival by the owner, then his son (maybe 14?) showing me to my spot; what delightful people who truly care, and it shows in every aspect of this place. The spots do not have water or sewer, just electric, but everything is close by and convenient. The price of $17.50 with Passport America is such a bargain, I am amazed. I normally travel through Good Sam, and this park was not on their list. I'm so glad I checked PA or I would have missed this gem! I'm sitting under my awning, enjoying a gentle rain, looking out over the beautiful pond. I'm surrounded by beautiful planter boxes (someone has a gift for planting boxes!), in this incredibly tidy and neat little park. It is a "park," as beautiful as any park I've been in, with little rolling hills giving different elevations. Each site has tons of space, a picnic table, manicured grass, and a well-placed fire pit. The little pond has specified use areas; frog catching & fishing, a swimming beach and some little sit and appreciate areas. The whole place is gravel, so no riding bikes, but there is a very well equipped playground, and the little "swimmin hole" for kids. Oh and frog catching? That beats riding bikes any day! The bathrooms are rustic; painted cinder block, but very adequate, well kept and VENTILATED. OMG I wish other places understood the importance of this. They even have a hotel-type hair dryer in them! There is a little storage building next to the bathhouse with a "honor system" washer and dryer. This place has everything. I wish I could get some work done instead of sitting out here enjoying it! Get site 1 or A1 right along the pond, although almost all the sites have a pond view. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Motorhome.

Really enjoyed this park. All sites are around a small pond where you can see and hear the bull frogs. You connect to their Direct TV cable and use your box for satellite tv. Mosquitoes come out at night so bring bug repellent. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Motorhome.

Small park that offers w&e only sites, but there is a dump on site. It's not easy to get real close to the dump to use a short sewer hose, so be prepared to use a 12' or so hose. Honey wagon service available. Sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Firewood is for sale. Laundry with payment on the honor system. Some big rig options. Many sites are pull-thru. Many sites require leveling. Multiple stayers. Nice shade trees which means few satellite options. OTA TV available but signal faded frequently. Verizon signal good. Utilities placed correctly, but I encountered frequent voltage to the low 100s. The pond is the central feature of the campground and is a pleasant amenity. Owner/manager on site. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Motorhome.

We stopped here primarily because it was a Passport park. New owners, very friendly. Chatted with them for about 15 minutes. As new owners they tried every site that was available to check them out for livability. Wifi was available but limited to around the office, even with a booster I couldn't get wifi and we were across the small lake from the office. Too many trees for satellite.

When pulling away from the office you need to negotiate between 2 buildings, a little tight but doable. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a small park arranged around a small spring fed pond. The pond is stocked with trout and a fishing license isn't required. There also is a sand beach area and a nice adult area with seating and a fireplace adjacent to the pond. New owners had taken possession the week before we were here. everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. We were guided to our site and they helped us get settled in. Few sites have sewers. Good water and power (50 amp) at our site. The campsite had a picnic table and fire ring and was reasonably level. Not much chance of getting satellite TV because of the trees but there is a good selection of over the air TV. They have free WiFi which works well. Verizon service is 2 bar 4G. The maneuvering room is a little tight. We were only here for a day but easily could see returning to spend a week or two. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Motorhome.

another pleasant stay at Saddleback. Hosts could not have been nicer, site was great and the campground was very quiet mid week. This is our "go to" quick get-away from Manchester for a little R&R, never disappoints. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Tent Trailer.

I gave this campground a low review because of the overall attitude of the owners as well as the campground in general. This is by no means a high end campground. Very basic. Most sites don't have 50amp or sewer. We wondered why there where so many empty seasonal sites and we were told by other seasonal's that the owner had thrown several of them out at one time. While people were quick to add that at least one of them was a trouble maker the others were all well liked by fellow campers. We did get the feeling that other seasonal campers planned on leaving once the season was over. This is not a place I could recommend. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The owners of this campground were so nice and helpful. They made sure their guests were taken care of. It is an older campground where people there seem to have stayed many years. There is a little lake that is keep clean. The park is maintained well and decorated with a fun style. There are bullfrogs to listen to at night. Overall, it is very peaceful and a good transition park for travel in other directions. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Although this is a pretty campground it ends there. Pond water is dirty. Playground is just OK. No 50amp or sewer unless your seasonal. Twice in the four days we were there the owner had altercations with two different campers. Not very professional. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This has to be the friendliest park we have ever stayed in. The owners work very hard to make everyone feel wanted. Our impression was that most of the folks camping there were mostly long term, but everyone was friendly.

The rate (Passport America) was very reasonable. The only drawback is that there are no sewers. Since we stayed at Site #1, which is right across from the dump station, we just ran our macerator hose across the street when our tanks got full. They will pump out your tanks every two weeks, but I am not sure who can go that long.

The showers and bathrooms were right across the street. They were small but clean.

The official quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM, but people started stirring and making noise around 7 AM or earlier most days, and I heard car door slamming around 6:30AM once or twice.

The campsites pretty much all surround the frog pond, which is nice to look at but those frogs are sure noisy at night. We just let a floor fan run all night to mask the outside sounds.

We will definitely be back. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Motorhome.

This was our first visit to this campground. The pre-trip arrangements were easy-peasy. Our site was just right for us and two small dogs and our stay was quiet and relaxing. Oh, and the weather was nice. And the PA rate can't be beat. Mid-week so things were quiet but the with the small park size I think the weekends may be "user-friendly." It is near to us and is a great little get away and we WILL be back, we've already booked our site. Thanks to the friendly owners for a nice stay. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Motorhome.

I stayed here nearly the whole month of October. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful fall scenery, close to all things New England, but the best thing about Saddleback is the owners. They went completely out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. They treated us like family in every way. I'd definitely recommend Saddleback to anyone who asked. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Motorhome.

The shade trees are very tall and make a nice rustling sound. Restroom/showers are single unit unisex with indoor carpeting. They manage to keep them clean partly because it's a small campground. Very comfortable and peaceful place. The Wi-Fi was a nice surprise, and owner was fantastic, working with me before and during our stay. I had timing and weather concerns. A major storm blew through. Site drained nicely and nothing came down on us. Staff worked all day the next day re-grading the drive. Being part seasonal/transient they're not geared for big activities every weekend, but sounds like they do a nice job on ones they do have. Convenient to Northwood groceries and a few restaurants. A Caesar salad and house pizza from Cooperhill was great. We also required an engine check-light diagnosis from the Northwood Garage. They were friendly and honest. The lake is more like a pond. The nearby state park has a great trail around their lake. I wouldn't say Saddleback is not kid friendly, but it's not meant to fulfill every kid activity /fantasy. There are places within an hour for that. We had only pet children with us. I'd stay here again. For the cost and quality of camping services, an easy 10. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Tent Trailer.

A beautiful frog and fish lake where you can catch and release both. Nets provided for frog catching. Swimming in lake ok. Lovely sites. Adult area around fire pit with chairs lake side. Owners are pleasant and very good at running this great place. I came back a second time, because I grew up next to a frog pond and loved to hear them at night. The last reviewer was very accurate. It is a clean and pretty campground but it sort of ends there. There are no regularly scheduled activities. While there is a playground it is old and rather unkept. Very little for kids to do. They advertise swimming in the pond but after looking at the water quality I would not let any kids of mine go in it. All in all a good place for a night or two if you don't need sewer or 50 amps.
