Owner was very nice and you can tell they take pride in their facility. We chose a back-in treed site with 30a & water and it was very nice. Great location, some road noise and one late evening train but we sleep with white noise so no bother for us. Bathrooms older but clean (it's a campground, not the Hilton). Not sure if it's related to the time of year but we were there after Labor Day and it seems some items (kayak rentals mentioned on their website) were not available, owner was helpful and happy to refer us to a nearby rental place however. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice place to stay, shady and lots of fun for the kids. We had to move out of a 30 amp site to one of the few 50 amps because the voltage was so low, but they were very nice about it and moved us right away. There is a firetruck for the kids to ride and lots of beautiful places to walk - you can go right down to the Androscoggin River and it is just lovely. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed three nights. We reserved a pull thru, but it was mostly sun - so we took a back-in site because it was spacious and shady. We liked this campground, very comfortable. We used the laundry which was clean and functioning. There is some road noise and one short train that comes by around 11 pm, but this is a good place to stay. We stayed in a 27' motor home with tow. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is about 5 miles east of Gorham, NH, on the north side of the White Mountains. A substantial portion of the campground consists of primitive sites. They have a few sites for transient campers. We were in site #18 which is a pull-in, back-out site just behind the entrance. The campground is generally appealing with lots of trees and a nice hiking path in the back along the river. When we checked in they provided us with some very good suggested driving routes through the White Mountains. We had a full hookup site with 50 amp electric. The driveways are gravel and the site pads are gravel/grass. They have free WiFi which worked quite well from our site. The laundry and bathrooms are in good condition and clean. They also have an adult Rec Room with TV and a book exchange. We paid $37.80 with Good Sam discount. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice cg just east of Gorham, NH that is convenient for touring the area. Close to Mt Washington which is a must see/do. Water pressure was iffy, wifi better than average, lady co-owner very helpful. Would stay again if in the area. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Motorhome.

We only stayed one night, and didn't spend a lot of time in the campground, but would have liked to have stayed longer. Our site was very spacious and easy to get in/out. More than enough room for camper & truck. Some sites were fairly close together, but ours was separated from the ones beside us by a nice stand of trees. Pool & store appeared to be nice, but we didn't use either. Bathrooms were a bit dated, but in good condition. Showers cost 25 cents for 10 minutes, so we didn't use them, but they appeared to be clean and private. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully for longer. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Travel Trailer.

First time here and we really liked it. Did not know what to expect but we had a very level pull through site. Hook ups were great. Owners were great and by friendly. Extended our stay and visited the Fyreburg Fair. Nice area, we will return at some point. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This place was busy! Lots of folks hiking the off-roading in the surrounding mountains. Had live music one night - went on for hours, and while we didn't attend, sounded like everyone was having a great time. Basketball hoop was right behind our spot - just a hoop mounted on a pole. Some kid was out shooting hoops at 8AM - all we could hear was the bounce-bounce-bounce of the ball on the pavement. WiFi didn't reach out to campsites, even though we were about as close as any site to the lodge. Speed was OK if you were inside the building. Our AT&T cell service either said that it was "Off Network" or that there was no network, so be prepared. Very limited cable TV selection. Walking trails to nearby river - very nice area. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the Mt. Washington Cog Railroad to the top if you can - well worth the drive. Also visit the Mount Washington Hotel! The Water Wheel restaurant (about a half-hour away) is a must for breakfast (real maple syrup, huge portions, cool gift shop). Mountain Fire Pizza (even closer) is also very good.

This campground has many wooded and shaded sites. There is a river walk that is worth a stoll. Our site was full hook up 30 amp service. There was no cover on the electrical box. It had rained, so our site was wet. We tracked lots of dirt in. My wife went to walk our dog. Two large unleashed dogs dashed out at her. When she complained to the owners of the dogs they were very rude. She made a complaint to the campground owner who addressed the situation immediately. It is not their policy to have dogs running loose. The owner also made up sheets with suggested drives you could take through the area to see all the sights. They were very useful. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Big rig friendly with spacious level sites. Staff provided excellent suggestions with directions for scenic routes, shopping, places to visit, etc. for the local area. Washers and dryers worked well. Cable and Wi-Fi was good. Water pressure was weak in the camper and showers. Great place to ride motorcycle. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mt Washington and Grafton Notch were both great places to visit and ride a motorcycle. Gorham is nice small town with free small railway museum. Walmart was 10 minutes drive but not other shopping close.

We stayed here 3 nights while sight seeing in the White Mountains. This a good location close to the Mt. Washington auto road and shopping in Gorham. The campground is fairly easy to get in and out Utilities are solid although water pressure was a bit weak ( 25 psi on my gauge). Entry road is gravel, as are the sites and heavy woods with level sites. You do get some road noise from route 2 and there is a train track at the back of the park but we never heard it during our stay. They have a nice play area for the kids and there is a hiking trail across the river. No Wifi at the camp sites but we had strong Verizon LTE so it was all good. Each site has a table and fire ring. Owners are great and gave us a package of suggested scenic drives, shopping, and other area info that I thought was a great touch. The new Owners are working to make improvements daily. You won't go wrong with a stay here. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the tour bus to the top of Mt. Washington if you go. The road is so narrow and winding the driver will not enjoy it. Tour bus drivers are knowledgable and give you a lot of information. Take the price of driving you car from the tour cost and it is not that much more.

Stayed here for proximity to White Mountains/Mount Washington - an excellent choice. Nice, friendly new owners as of 2012 - very conscientious of providing a very nice facility; campground hosts very friendly, as well. Very clean bathrooms & showers. Yes, railroad tracks right behind the back row of sites, but we never heard a thing; owner said they don't run every night. Got good Internet reception. Didn't use pool, but it looked nice. We would absolutely stay here again! We camped at Timberland Campground in a Motorhome.
