MH in shop. Rented one to be picked up. Overnite here in a cabin. Very nice, deck, fire-pit. cable TV, queen bed, all utensils, stove, coffee pot. Very comfortable. They had "little homes" but not available during our stay. Will be back with our MH> We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Cabin.

We stayed in a cabin for one nite, as our motor home was in the shop. The cabin was really very nice. Kitchen with all things needed, fridge, stove. sitting area with cable TV (a lot of channels). Bedroom and full bath. Deck around with Gas BBQ, and a fire pit. Never stayed in a cabin before, but this exceeded our expectations. If needed, would stay in the cabin again. There were building "tiny homes", which we didn't check out. Plenty of RV sites as we drove around the camp. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Cabin.

It is certainly off the beaten path deep into the countryside off the main roadway reached by a gravel road. The roadway and pull-thru sites are gravel with a picnic table, fire pit and full hookups with cable TV. The lake, Tuxbury Pond, was not very pretty when we were there as it was full of weeds. They have 2 pools and a playground. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Have stayed here twice will not stay again. Difficult to find. The roads are in terrible condition. Deep ruts everywhere, trees need to be trimmed. WiFi only at the pavilion and that was hit or miss. Some sites had electric and water at one end and sewer at the other end. No trash dumpsters in the CG, have to drive out the main entrance to find one and no trash pickup. Guest fees $10.

Positives: New owners in process of repairing roads. Lots of activities for kids and adults. Good water pressure.

One staff member was exceptional, MOD not so much.

Our nightly fee included Thousand Trails discount and a 25 percent off special. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is an update to my previous review. Things have vastly improved here at Tuxbury Pond this year. This is our 3rd year. The crew is working very hard and the store is ... well it's now like a REAL STORE, fully stocked and always open. Very friendly management and many new faces have really made a tremendous difference. Although we do not participate in the family activities, there's no doubt the kids and families are having a blast. The lagoon is very nice and our grandchildren really enjoy it. Only complaints are additional Wi-Fi would be greatly appreciated, as there is only one location as far as I know, and the road to enter is still very bumpy. However once you enter you do have an alternate EXIT to avoid the bumpy road. This is a BIG and very beautiful property. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Finding this place is a challenge. GPS took us to what is now the "back" road which is now exit only. Finally found the front entrance on Whitehall Road. Access to the park is down a long, rough, dusty gravel road. Coach was filthy when we got to the office. Parked and walked to the door but another surprise! This too is closed and the office is now in the store. No real signs or directions. Got registered and proceeded to our full hook up site. This was the strangest configuration I've ever seen. It was an un-mowed grass area under some trees. Electric and water pedestal was at the rear and the sewer hook up was at the front of the site. I have 30 feet of sewer hose and I'm not sure I could reach it. We really couldn't tell which of the 5 spots was supposed to be ours and our 40' MH would have barely fit any of them. Leveling would have also been an adventure but we didn't try. Called the office and expressed concerns and they told us to find another site and call back. We found site D2 on the hill near the swimming pond and was gratuitously allowed to secure it for our stay. I don't understand why campgrounds try to put you in a dumpy site when much better ones are available. D2 was grass also, but very level and spacious.

The dumpsters are a good half mile from our camping area and there is no trash pick up offered. So that means a daily trip down that dusty, pothole filled entrance road each day to get rid of trash.

After getting set up I was talking with our neighbor who was on his third year here. He is looking for a new place for next year. As earlier reviews stated, there is new management and they apparently have some restrictive rules now coupled with a hefty price increase and charges for electric. Not a bad place but like the neighbor, I think I will try a different place next time. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in a 42' rig. When we reserved our stay we requested a large site. When we arrived, we were assigned a site that was small and we could not have used our back stabilizer jacks because of the hill drop-off. They did accommodate us and give us a wonderfully large site (begrudgingly). It is a fairly nice park with the majority reserved for seasonals. As soon as it got a bit dark, the mosquitoes came out by literally the millions, it was amazing. We used our ReadyCampGo card and Thousand Trails membership to pay the $33/night rate. Probably wouldn't go back, staff not overly friendly. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our 2nd season here, mixed emotions. Last year the prices were reasonable but management and landscaping were nonexistent. This year brings a new manger and a LOT of landscaping & improvements... but due to 50% + rate increases, many will never experience the improvements due to WAY, WAY over pricing. We had family wanting to stop in for the 4th but they were quoted $59 a night which is simply nuts for what you receive. Kiddie pool still closed, WiFi is only available in two locations and none to the actual campground. Cable is provided but no HD and satellite is not possible in 95% of the campground due to heavy tree cover ... dust from the road in and around the grounds from vehicles and golf carts spews all over and covers you from head to toe in just a day. Potholes on the way into the campground and through the gate will gobble up a true 4X4. Setting that aside, the campground is mostly peaceful and tranquil (other than some prime weekends)POWER and water pressure is excellent, and again new management is a welcome change over last year, however, are the 50+% price increases worth it? So much potential ... but the new price increases have us looking elsewhere next year they are just overbearing for what you receive. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Former Boy Scout camp that kept the large fields and incredibly dusty roads. Although the open areas are nice, the park is sadly in need of a maintenance staff that actually bends over to pick up litter. No road maintenance. Deep holes. Sites are not level with depressions and ruts. Water pressure was very good, Wi-Fi only in 2 hot spots near lodge and office, Verizon signal was okay but only 2G service for data. Pool water is clean and refreshing. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is our first year here as seasonal campers. The campground looked real nice from the website and the person on the phone told us about all the great features, but unfortunately we were disappointed. This could be a real nice campground if they kept up with the maintenance. The pool slide was broken, as well as a couple handrails. The lights in the mens room near the pool are all burned out, so you have to stumble around in the dark. Other restrooms had showers that have been out of order all summer. The arcade is a joke - just a couple shoddy older games. The adult fitness room does not exist. The store hours are unpredictable. There have been Saturdays during the summer where the store was closed! Really, on a Saturday!? The dirt road into the campground is in very bad shape. There are several deep ruts and gullies from erosion in the road. You almost need a four wheel drive to make it over the long dirt road. They need to empty the dumpsters more often. They wait for them to overflow onto the ground before they are emptied. This campground has some of the highest rates in the area so I expected more. I can say that most of the staff are very nice and friendly. This campground could be real nice if they would keep up with maintenance and pay attention to a few details. The road to the campground was very long and bumpy. The sites were hard to hook up to with sewer being too far away making us spend an extra $45.00 for a 40 foot sewer hose. The pool was dirty, and the slide on the pool was broken. The dumpsters were located very far away and were overflowing with garbage. There were bags stacked all around each dumpster. The store was not well stocked. We were so disappointed that we ended our vacation a day early. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed during the July 4th week and during the heat wave. So the campground was full and the weather was 90+ for several days. We were escorted to our site and arrived on a very spacious site. There was a problem getting to the electrical outlet and the sewer hookups, as they were set back from the main site. We had a difficult time getting our 26ft travel trailer into the site, so that we could reach the hookups. We had to thread the needle between trees and settle on not the flattest of ground. The campground could not provide enough electricity in the loop that we were staying in and as a result we did not have power for 4-5 hours per day. People around us left the campground altogether as the heat was very uncomfortable. The campground did rectify the power situation by bringing in a big generator after 2 afternoons without power. When we asked to be moved, the campground was sold out and no other spaces were available. However, there were sites that were not occupied throughout the campground. It was truly disheartening that we kept being referred to as "transients" by staff and the full timers. We even heard that having so many "transients" in their part of the campground attributed to their power outage. The bathrooms were not cleaned on a regular basis. The tile floors were full of sand and mud in the showers. I never saw anyone cleaning the bathrooms. The pool was a crazy unorganized mess. Rules posted everywhere but no one to enforce the rules. Kids were jumping on each other, an other people trying to cool off. We had to pick a corner of the pool and ask people to play on the other end. We will not be returning for our free night. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The entry road was a little unsettling, but I found it easy to navigate through the park and into my site. There wasn't much going on since it was the last weekend of the season, but I still found it relaxing and easily enjoyable. Salisbury beach was not far away and the weather being as good as it was we took full advantage of this. I would go back to this campground. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We camped here for a few night in late September, in a 33 foot rig. Park has full-hookup sites with electric, water and sewer. The campsites are a nice size. Staff was very friendly. Dog waste disposal receptacles are conveniently located throughout the park. There are lots of facilities for kids. This is primarily a seasonal campground and most of the sites are very well maintained. It’s a very big campground. There are no special paths for the dog, but plenty of roads for walking. The dumpsters are located too far away from the campsites. We noted that most people drove their trash to them. A big con: the ¾ mile entry road is in VERY bad condition. It’s so full of potholes that you can’t avoid hitting them. We were concerned about how it would affect our RV suspension. It’s unfortunate, but we cannot recommend this campground due to the condition of entry road. We camped at Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
