This is a heavily wooded campground in the scenic White Mountains of NH. The staff was friendly and helpful. At check-in we were given a campground map that was hand drawn on a sheet of paper. Never seen that before, but we easily located our site. After the office you climb a hill to the sites, the pavement ends. All sites are back-in and the interior roads are hilly and gravel and quite tight. It was a little difficult backing in with my 35 ft MH, a bigger unit might have some trouble. The sites are sand/dirt. They are wide, but shallow, and quite level. Surrounded by trees, it is very private. The vast majority of the sites are seasonals, but no park models. The hook-ups are at the very back of the site so you need to back-in all the way. There is no cable or Wi-Fi, and very few antenna stations. The water pressure was strong, but the voltage dropped to quite low levels at times. It was rather cool when we were there and I would have liked 50amp service, but they only have 30amp. We enjoyed our time here and would not hesitate to return. We camped at The Ammonoosuc Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mt Washington is a unique experience. You can do by car, van or cog railroad. We took the van. The Kancamagus Scenic Hwy is a must. Also the Flume Gorge.

Owners very accommodating - converted our site to a 30amp before we arrived; spacious sites, lovely setting, quiet, clean, near what we wanted to see. WiFi and cable can be sketchy, but, hey, maybe that is a good thing sometimes !! We camped at The Ammonoosuc Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Ride the COG Railway to the highest point on east coast, beautiful views (temp drops drastically bring a jacket). Pricey, but worth it, lots of stuff to see and do at the top of the summit. Area is a sportsmans paradise ! Biling, fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, snow sports in the winter, etc.

Overall Rating:

This campground is mostly seasonal campers. The staff is nice and welcoming. This campground is in need of some TLC and updating. The showers are fiberglass and walled with painted OSB as are the restrooms. They were clean but dated. There are no lights in the laundry room. The site was good having trees/foliage etc. separating the sites. Some tree trimming would be in order. The WiFi was spotty at best Sometimes we got it, other times not. Seems to be a bandwidth problem). Forget TV reception, one station at best. We also paid an additional $10.00 per day for 2 additional adults. State taxes are also high. Still, a pleasant experience. We camped at The Ammonoosuc Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mt Washington Cog railway and Bretton Woods (free) Chairlift to summit restaurant nearby. The Mt. Washington Resort (historical site) is worth a visit. There is also Golf available here (and in neighboring towns) at a reasonable rate. Nearby towns include Bethlehem and Littleton. Suggest a visit to both. North Conway is also a good day trip.

Clean but tight campground. Bathrooms and showers clean but there was a seasonal tent resident who treated the bathroom as her own, ie: coffee maker, toiletries, clothes hanging to dry. Our GPS gave us the wrong guidance and we called numerous times during the day for directions but there was no answer. The owner told us she was probably out cleaning bathrooms. We camped at The Ammonoosuc Campground in a Motorhome.
