This is a great campground for seasonal camping. Lots of sites with improvements like porches, sheds and multiple golf carts. The moon rising up over the mountain reflected in the lake was beautiful. The showers needed updating -- they were pull chain to operate and the rubber mats could have benefited from a a bleaching. The camp owner was hot and cold; this might make some feel unwelcome. Looked like a good place to camp with a boat. We camped at Forest Lake Camping Ground Inc. in a Travel Trailer.

We just got back from this campground. First thing I have to say is that the sites in the "T" section are HUGE. I measured my site T5 and it is 75ft deep and 55ft wide! All the "T" sites are this big also! The water and electric hookups are all brand new and worked flawlessly. The sites are grass and well maintained. They were actually starting to pave some of the roads in the campground when we arrived Friday. There is no campstore, or gameroom that I saw. There is a small playground for the kids. There are not a lot of activities either. This campground is mostly seasonals, but it would seem the campground is trying to make us "weekenders" more comfortable with the work they are doing. The bathrooms are very clean, and always stocked. They have one canoe, and one rowboat that you can rent for 5 dollars per hour. The sign said there were paddleboats also, but I did not see any while I was here. The dump station is clean and maintained. This campground is gated. Though you just drive in and the gate opens, you need a code to get out; and if you are out past 10pm, the gate is locked and you can not get out or in. The office staff was friendly, there is a grocery store close by and a hardware store right next to it that refills propane, and sells just about anything else you may need or have forgotten to bring with you. The views from the "T" sites are beautiful, you can see the inlet which goes out into the actual lake, with the mountains in the background. I did not give this campground a 10 only because it lacked a campstore and the seasonals do drive around a lot on their golfcarts a bit too fast. This campground must be beautiful in the fall with the colors. I will come back to this campground again. We camped at Forest Lake Camping Ground Inc. in a Tent Trailer.

Most people here are long-term campers, or their park-model is the family summer destination. The lady in the office was not exactly friendly "Can I help you with something?" (no smile). Perhaps we needed to call ahead in order to get a friendly greeting. Cable is an extra $3, yet all you get is the couple of local channels, QVC, CNBC and a Spanish channel! That's it. We weren’t given campsites from which to choose, we were told we’d park at one particular pull through beside a yipping Pomeranian puppy on a tie-out. Doubt we will stay at Forest Lake again, but it could be a perfect stopover for some campers. We camped at Forest Lake Camping Ground Inc. in a Travel Trailer.

98 percent of park is seasonals. There were about 4 pull thrus that were just areas of gritty sand that we spent way too much time brushing off our shoes and steps of the RV. There were about 5 more back in sites with water and electric only. These were the only availible sites for camping. The rest are well established seasonals. They would be better off calling it a trailer park instead of a campground. The lady at the desk was very rude and acted like she was doing us a favor renting her pull thru to us for one night. The restrooms were old but very clean. The sewer hookup backed up fast and made it hard to dump without an overflow. The lake had a nice little swimming area. THe staff that did work around the site seemed friendly, at least they smiled and waved. We camped at Forest Lake Camping Ground Inc. in a Motorhome.
