Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for two nights in early December of 2016. It was one of only four campgrounds open year round within a one hour drive of Lehigh Valley, PA. It was quiet and not very busy. You could tell it was hunting season from the dear hanging from the swing set. The roads are gravel and have some potholes that are avoidable for the most part. There were a lot of trees, but we were able to get our 40' 5th wheel parked without a problem. There was a play area and it also had a pool. It was closed for the winter, so we cannot comment on the pool. There are dumpsters on site. There are no sewer connections at the campsites, but there is a centrally located, back-in dump station. They also offer Propane for purchase. Others have posted reviews on other sites stating that it was confusing because you drove through a "utility lot" (which you do), but the campground gives you a map and it is easy to find your spot with the map they provide when you check in. We would stay here again off season. We were grateful they were open in early December and we gave it a chance, even with the other reviews. We did not use the restrooms, so we cannot comment on them. They are pet-friendly as we have indoor cats and a neighbor had a dog. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

All previous comments were on target. We needed a place for the evening. Park in back of trailer sales company. Roads are in horrible shape. Person at desk told us to pick out any we wanted. Took 3 attempts to find one to use. Roads are very rutty and windy. Many old campers parked throughout the campground. Could not find a restroom. Water pressure was low and ware had a bad smell. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Motorhome.

Based on website we originally planned to spend 2 nights here but when we pulled into parking lot with lots of equipment being worked on and a cluttered look, decided to go with 1 night and add if we enjoyed our stay. Were offered choice of 2 pull through sites. Road into camp had lots of potholes and passed by what appeared to be abused equipment & vehicles. When we arrived at site one of our choices was already occupied. Another had a narrow entry but other end was a mud bog with 6" of standing water. We were able to enter with our 42' rig but the site was not level enough to try to level our rig. Lots of permanent trailers in the park. Was told hunters use the campground in the fall. We left after one night. Navigating the trees was a challenge. Would not return. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is located behind trailer sales lot. Convenient to Pa. locations, as well as N.J.

Sites are not level, but electric and water pressure was adequate. Large grassy area for pet's. No dumping at site, but honey wagon comes by (NO CHARGE) to empty your tanks :-)

Staff was extremely helpful and super friendly. I would stay here again. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Motorhome.

Don't trust your GPS! RV's were primarily pipeline workers. Roads were rough. Staff was friendly and helpful. We got on a site adequate for our 40'er. It was early season, so the pool was not open. Close to I-78, no traffic noise. Tenting area made nice trails. Back-in dump was no problem - plenty of space to maneuver. Would stay here again. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Motorhome.

Office and staff were dirty. Staff looked like they just worked on an engine. Roads were muddy and full of potholes. Electric didn't work on our site, had to plug into the next site (which had a faucet that would not completely shut off). Would have left, but needed the electric for medical equipment and it was getting dark. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Travel Trailer.

Be alert as you approach. It appears many have made a u-turn to get into the area. Our site was not level and was full of bugs at night. The dump station was on a slant and we were unable to use it - back in. Much traffic noise all night. The staff was helpful, the office and parts area very utilitarian. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Tent Trailer.

Restrooms like a 3rd world country or most mechanic's garage restrooms. Dirty! Internet nowhere near any campsites, only in the office. So if you wish to get online from your rig, forget it! We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Travel Trailer.

I gave a ten because the campground was well groomed, the pool was wonderful, and it was quiet. We knew going in, there was no sewage hookup. I would recommend for an overnight stay. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Motorhome.

We stopped here and paid for the site before driving into the park. The pool area was very nice, but the rest of the park was a real dump. Poor roads, poorly marked sites, etc. We didn't go into the bathrooms, but I doubt they were clean based upon the rest of the premises. They were nice enough to refund our payment without any issue, which I greatly appreciated. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Tent Trailer.

This is a rustic little campground on Route 173 a few miles west of Clinton. We stayed here foe access to Clinton. There is kayaking in the nearby State Park and mill pond. We had a great time bicycling the High Bridge Rail trail and checking out historic Clinton. Jugtown Mountain is tucked in behind a trailer and truck canopy sales company. Maneuvering was tight. The spaces were tight. There were very few 50 amp sites. It rained cats and dogs our first night. We parked on one of the few reasonably dry spots. The park was pretty empty for a June weekend. They had a nice pool but it was locked. The bathrooms were way too far away from the camping areas. Overall it was dumpy and overpriced. We have stayed in nicer parks for less money. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Motorhome.
