Trees and stumps trees and stumps and more trees and stumps. This place is NOT big rig friendly as a matter a fact it's dangerous! A place cleared for bigger rigs would be nice. Trim out trees would make it neat. In my opinion it's messy and dirty. Dust everywhere. Sites very narrow (again due to trees and stumps) no satellite. Staff was great. Pool nice. These are the only things I can say are nice. Everything else ruff. This place has potential but we will probably avoid this campground in the future. We camped at Sea Pines RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Let''s start with the positive; we were here when the temperatures were in the 90's and the wooded sites protected us and gave us plenty of shade. The lake with the beach was a nice change from the pool, and was close by to our site. The gentleman that checked us in was wonderful and patient considering this was a holiday week. Kudo's to him!!! The rest of the staff was friendly enough, but it was an effort. Quiet hours are respected and followed. Downside: They take reservations but you have to find your own site, which I've experienced with other Thousand Trail campgrounds and feel that it is an incovenience to members of Thousand Trails. We have a 40' motorhome with a toad and had to unhook the toad so we could navigate the roads within the campground. Unless they have space near the front of the campground and/or you have kind neighbors(which we did)who help you navigate into your site, It is a tough campground for big rigs. The seasonals had the best sites that seemed to be large enough for two campsites, otherwise you are close to your neighbor. We camped at Sea Pines RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Sea Pines for 3 nights under a Thousand Trails membership that we received when we bought our Travel Trailer. The check-in process with quick and easy and the staff was courteous and competent. They provided us with a map of the campground with the sites that were available. My partner and I chose a site near one of the two bath houses since we had 4 people in our TT and only one small bathroom. The sites were clearly marked but the abundance of trees made it tricky to get into the site. The site was very spacious and we had plenty of room for the provided picnic table and fire ring as well as for putting out our slide out and awning. Lots of families with young children at this campground. There is a pool and lake for swimming and at the other end of the lake is a catch and release fishing area. There is a game room and camp store available. Because you are in the Jersey pine area, the sites are dirt and sand - this made for continuous clean out of the trailer and our outside rug. One observation - the squirrels are very used to people and are brazen enough to come right up to you to beg for food. DO NOT leave any trash or food outside your camper or tent - it will be confiscated by the squirrels. We camped at Sea Pines RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We were close to the Avalon beach area however we chose to drive to Wildwood (free beach) which was only a 15 minute drive. There is an Acme within a 5 minute drive and stores and restaurants are also close by.

Arrived on a Tuesday for best site selection because you pick the site here. Most if not all good sites are taken up by permanent residents. I chose 228 because it had sewer and fresh crushed stone. Sewer backed up and was unusable. Had trouble getting electric on at box. Banged breaker a few times. Surrounded by semi permanent residents that smoked and drank loudly till 2am. Very dusty roads. Residents screw tattered flags into trees. If they were campers they would not do this. If they were true patriots they would retire their tattered flags properly in their fire pits. Many residents have breeds of dogs that are not allowed in most campgrounds. I have been here two or three times before as a member of Thousand Trails so I knew what I was getting into. No adult swim or lifeguard so be prepared. While exploring the "resort" try to find the compound with the giant cage. What is it for? Close to all beaches and boardwalks of the Cape May area. Bring bug spray. I will return but I would not pay to camp here. We camped at Sea Pines RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Do not miss a visit to the Cape May Zoo 2 miles south on rt9. Free! Opens at 10am. Get there for opening because it gets too crowded. You will not be disappointed.

Overall Rating:

Have been going to this campground for many years and my vacation in July of 2017 was not expected. The Guard (old man with white beard) at the gate was not polite upon arrival. So because of him, he made our vacation unpleasant. As for the campground itself, trees need to be removed to make it easier to maneuver a large fifth wheel in the sites. Sites need to be cleaned after previous campers. The lake beach needs to be cleaned (lots of garbage in the sand). Very nice pool area, but pool is too small for the size of the campground. Close proximity to Avalon Beach and Wildwood is a short distance also! We always loved our yearly trip to Sea Pines. We camped at Sea Pines RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Avalon Beach is better than Wildwood Beach and it's closer! Love to shop at the little markets up the road.

There are many seasonals so there weren't many sites to choose from. We didn't expect a sewer site so we weren't looking for one. If you're an experienced RVer you should know how to plan ahead. The sites left were pretty tight for a 38 ft motorhome but not impossible to back into. It was rustic with many trees so I couldn't get satellite TV or over the air with our internal antenna. We camped at Sea Pines RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Too many semi-permanent sites. Most using 2 regular sites, and that they are using all of the corner lots. We arrived on Fri. MORNING and there were no sewer sites available. And only sites in the middle of the rows. This an older C/G So if you have a larger (35' + ft.) you may have problems finding or getting in a spot. It took us 45 min's. and help from the camp host to find a spot. Once "settled" in found that the Electric was not yet working. Called the office and was told that it was probably our camper but he would notify his supervisor. Hour and half later we called again this time spoke to the manager of the store told her about our situation and that we contacted the young man but no one showed up. She then notified the maintenance dept. a worker showed up checked the panel; low and behold the Breaker was bad. He replaced it and solved the problem. It seems that the park is geared more towards their regular semi permanent campers and not the transient ones. We camped at Sea Pines RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
