Overall we give Jellystone Tall pines a high 4 out of 5 rating. Would have been a 5 except for a few issues listed below. This campground is very nice with mostly shady sites and dirt/sand roads. Some of the sites are tight. The campground has a very nice pool and a small splash park for the kids. The pool does have a slightly cloudy appearance, but is very clean. Not being a pool guy it almost appeared that they kept it that way for some valid reason. Staff was also checking the balance of the pool and adding water very often. They also have 2 inflatable water slides, one being a pretty good sized. They also have a nice store with hot food and ice cream. Overall the entire property was well maintained. There was a large number of scheduled activities for campers which was great. They also have a small fishing pond. Golf cart rentals are available and most golf cart users where courteous, there were a few kids riding around on small electric mini bikes which were a little out of control. The restrooms & showers were very clean. On more then one occasion our dog got biscuits from the cleaning staff, which was a great touch. Why not a 5? 1. The check in staff when we arrived were very cold, no issues checking in they just were not very friendly and welcoming 2. We were assigned a site that was basically in between cabins and does not appear on the site maps. Other than the sewer connection being 12" in the air the site was pretty nice, however we had booked a "premium" site. We did not feel we got what we paid for so I spoke with a different individual at the front desk whom was very nice and was directed to speak with the general manager the next morning. He handled the situation very professionally and to our satisfaction. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Travel Trailer.

We've camped here for the last 5 or 6 years. It's a nice wooded campground with a rally field that has site around the edges. It seems to have been taken over by new management in 2016 (ish) and they don't seem quite up to speed. Camping here is nice and we've enjoyed it. The grounds are golf-cart friendly, which is both good and bad. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

They have a general store and both a kiddy pool and regular pool. They used to do a grand halloween party each weekend from late September until late October, but 2016's was cancelled.

We stayed here for Mother's Day weekend. Easy to back in site and maneuver through the park. Very level sites. Hook ups spaced ok. Needed 20' sewer hose. No wifi. Cable didn't work (they came and tried to fix but no luck. Might have been our camper. Still investigating). Very responsive to coming though especially in the rain! It poured all day and night Saturday but the roads and site held up nicely. Even in the rain there were activities for the kids to do. Staff were very friendly. They greet you as we came in. Very well stocked camp store. Online reservation process was a breeze. Lots of golf carts running around even in the rain. Park employees pick up trash at your campsite and will even deliver firewood to your site! They were setting up the water park and pool for opening in two weeks. Looks great! Very nice place! We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Travel Trailer.

First time staying at this Yogi Bear Campground. Highly recommend site #54 as it is huge! Site was level, hooks up were easy to reach with basic lengths and the gravel was nice as most other sites were dirt. Verizon signal was ok, didn't use park wifi, site had lots of foliage cover so unable to use satellite park cable had limited options. As others have stated the campground road are dirt and with the dry weather this meant all of dust and dirt any time traffic went by. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Motorhome.

We stayed here travelling north from Virginia to Maine. RV parks are scarce along the route, especially after reading some of the reviews here. So we didn't mind a 20 minute detour off of the interstate to find a nice park. We were not disappointed. This is a resort park, with lots of activities and facilities, and is reflected in the price. We were looking for something private and quiet for our night, and the staff readily accommodated us by placing us in a site far from the pools and playgrounds. The site was large and quiet. The seasonal units were all well taken care of and neat. The only detractions were no WiFi, and the water connection was at the front of the site, so I had to be careful to position my unit but still needed 50' of water hose forward and 20' of sewer hose back. Word of warning: the rural drive to the park is not well signed and the county won't let the park put any up. The GPS was invaluable. We would return. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Travel Trailer.

We selected this park based on one thing, it was close to Cowtown and we wanted to go to the Rodeo. We are so happy with this park that we are already looking forward to next year so we can go again. The sites are Large and for the most part seem pretty level. We did not have a concrete pad or patio at our sites, but so what? We had two adjacent sites for the weekend and could easily have parked two additional rigs in the sites with us! We had decent water pressure, Cable was excellent. The store had the basics as well as a few special items. There is a really nice water park/wet park here for the kids. The pool seemed very nice although we didn't use it, the pool hours are nice, 10am til 8pm. The Yogi Bear parks do one thing that I find especially nice, At 9am Yogi, Boo-Boo or Cindy along with a "Ranger" comes out an raises the Flag and leads the assembled campers in the Pledge. At 6pm they lower the flag after again leading the campers present in the Pledge. In the morning two of the young campers are selected to help raise the flag. In the evening two more are picked to help lower the flag and then they properly fold the flag. There was this week a DJ and a contest to win prizes by naming songs and artists. There were other activities as well. We didn't take part in most as we were there for the Rodeo and the Cowtown Flea Market. This is a great place to stay if you are in the area. We camped here on Easter Weekend and there were several activities for the kids and adults alike. The campground had several guests, but there was no problem with noise. The playground is adequate for the kids. We didn't get to use the water facilities as it was too early in the season, but they looked like fun. The staff was very nice. You need to be buzzed into the gate and when the "Ranger Station" is busy, you may have to wait awhile. The sites were clean, but they are all dirt as are the roads. Very dusty. The store has some basic supplies, but anything other than that you have to travel at least 7 miles to the nearest department store. The usual golf carts are buzzing around, but it didn't seem to be an issue. What was an issue were the regular vehicles that didn't seem to care that several people were walking around as they drove way too fast. The bathrooms were clean and we didn't see any shower rooms to comment on. We would return here to experience the summer activities. My last review of this park rated a 9, but, unfortunately, I only give it a "8" this time around. My family and I still love to visit this place and we get three campsites together with friends. With the addition of two blow-up water slides, which are well staffed, the excitement increases. However, this weekend was a holiday weekend was a full house with campers in the overflow as well. The small pool was SRO. It is a good thing that the park added the sprayground and water slide. Many campers walked around with open beer bottles, on activities such as a train ride at 10AM and candy bar bingo. Really? Candy bar bingo and you need a beer? If people chose to drink continually all weekend, the rules state it should be concealed. My kids are teenagers and know better, but still. I don't think any place should have "overflow" camping. Too many people. The management did clean up the playground each morning from, again, those slobs that choose to drink and throw it on the ground. Management also responded quickly to loud noise after quiet hours. I think management should have been more aware and enforced the rules about the drinking off site. This completely turned me off. There still needs to be swings added in the playground as well. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Travel Trailer.

This campground was a wild place. Our space had at least 4 trees that we had to thread through to get into the space. Since it's in a forest, there is sand and pine needles, and stuff getting into the rig no matter what you do. Then there are the people who come to the park. Lots of drinking, beer bottles flying, and noise. To be fair the staff was helpful and did quiet things down when they got wild but still very loud. It's hard to find, and there is no signage to help you find your way. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Motorhome.

Been here several times and will likely be back, but this experience was less than stellar. I was one of a very few campers in the whole park after season, working on paperwork and business in solitude. In that respect, things were just great. Problems arose when it began to rain on Friday as I was packing up to go home. It was at this point that I realized that my assigned site (G9 on Grasshopper Lane) was where all the surrounding sites drained to. By the time I was closing up my hybrid TT I was standing in two-three inches of water across the entire site. This might have been less irritating if it weren't for the fact that all the sites around me were on higher ground and empty. All I asked when reserving was that I have full hook-ups and be near the office. There were certainly better and closer sites than where I was placed. That said, the shower that I used, next to the pool and office was clean but didn't drain well. The bathrooms that I looked into were clean. Site was basically level, dirt and shady. Also plenty of room on the site and well situated to the rally field, the pool and the office. I'd say that the nightly off-season rate of $40/night is a little high for this area. The family (dog included)enjoyed our stay at campground. New water play area was a hit with our 3 and 5 year olds. Older kids may get bored quickly with it. Pool was a bit crowded. They have a small cafe to order food (no tables). Lots of activities to keep kids busy. Roads are dirt as well as campsites. Bathrooms need to be cleaned more often. Great splash park and pool area. LARGE shaded sites. Restrooms were filthy in the pool area. Smelled awful and looked even worse. We walked all the way back to our site instead of using the restrooms there. Cute activities for the kids and it has a large shaded playground. The train ride is really cute. Everyone was very friendly. This is a very well run campground. Our only complaint would be that the showers in the bathrooms got very dirty and didn't drain well. The staff tried to accommodate for this by cleaning multiple times a day. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first trip to Jellystone based on previous visits by friends. We wound up having a great time. Friends of ours tent camped about 10 sites away from us and also had a very good experience. The campground was not totally sold out, but it was close. This was also the Grand Opening Weekend for their new Tikki Bay spray park and everyone seemed to really have a good time and the staff could not have been more friendly. There was plenty of activity going on for the kids to have a good time. Our site was a very nice size, however, backing our 34' TT in was a bit of a task as there were trees pretty close at the very front of our site. We are planning to return in the near future especially since it is a very close trip for us. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Travel Trailer.

I have reviewed this park before but feel the need to again. With the addition of the spray area, this park has ALMOST everything you need for a fabulous camping experience. The awesome spray area, organized activities every hour for children and adults, train rides with a bear, friendly seasonals, polite and helpful staff, spacious showers, large and shaded sites, cared-for roads, and clean environment. However, there are not enough showers or toilets for the amount of campers, and there are no swings at the playground for the little ones. Other than that, we have a great time everytime we come to this campground. With the addition of swings, this park receives a '10'. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Travel Trailer.
