This is a large park in need of a serious upgrade; old, shabby and mostly cramped sites. Broken tree limbs and old leaves, brown looking brush scattered throughout. Lots of seasonal people with accumulations of every single thing they ever bought to decorate their site for the last 10 years. Mind-boggling!! They have a pool, attractive and pretty nice but too small for the amount of campers there. There is a lake for guests with a small sandy beach area on it. However the color of the lake was a weird dark inky color. I did not swim in it. We were told that what is now a lake was once filled with cranberry bogs. Maybe that is why I was not moved to swim in it! We used it as a home base for 4 days to see the area and did not spend much time in the park, so that was OK. The employees in the office i must say were very nice. Would I return...No! We camped at Timberline Lake Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A very nice little homey restaurant in Tuckerton on a Marina, called Dockside. Good food, good service.

Had dinner at a place called Allen's Seafood. Not good, expensive and they seve you with paper plates. If I pay $20.00 for an entre' I don't want to eat on a paper plate!!

My wife & sister camped for the week end. The site was a pull through although it was easier to back out the way we came in to leave. This campground is 90% seasonal and as with others like this one the quiet times are a joke, both evening and moring. Fri night they quieted down because it started to rain at 2am! Next mornings the noise started an hour before the time posted. The other negative was when dumping my tanks when getting ready to leave the sewer was full and back up! Argh We camped at Timberline Lake Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We spent 5 days here while we scouted the Jersey Shore, Atlantic City, and Camp May. We chose this campground because they are Passport America members and you can stay as long as you want at that rate. It's woodsy and not trimmed up: kind of au natural. Most of the campers here are summer getaways for city people. Only a few spots for travelers. Staff is very congenial. We camped at Timberline Lake Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
