A very wooded campground with plenty of activities and great location if you have family/friends staying in south Ocean City, NJ. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Site was very clean with abundant shade and sufficient distance from neighboring sites. Predominantly filled with permanent trailers, the park dedicated areas for tents and full-hookup RVs. Pool is large and in great condition. Only concern would be for large trailers - no pull-through sites means you have to back in while minding trees on both sides of the site. - Lancaster Camper
Nov 2016 - $60.00
We decided after staying at this campground for several years, to come for the entire season in 2016. It is very helpful to explain the size of your rig for them to place you in the best location giving you the easiest access. Roads and turns are well maintained, however certain areas can be tight for a 4o foot diesel coach. The best sites for a large rig are around site 295. The location of this park is ideal for access to all of the beaches in South Jersey while still being a short ride from the AC Expressway. We have found this park to be the best option at the Jersey shore, so much so, that we have sold our RV and have built a park model on a seasonal site. The staff has been extremely helpful. - JasonG

Whippoorwill raised the price this year, which isn't so bad for the proximity to OCNJ. The service and cleanliness are still top notch. We have been staying here for a number of years and, now that I have a larger camper, I must say that the trees and signs located on the very edges of every road make for a hazardous finale to our trek to Whippoorwill. It is stressful to tow in the park and backing in can be a challenge (to be kind) in some spots. I had to request a site change, as Site 18 is a bear to land our 28' travel trailer. Beach tag rental is a nice option, but I was none too pleased to be charged for an extra day when I turned them in at my checkout day/time. Apparently, they are due by 9am and 11am on checkout day nets you a one an additional days rent. In the end it was an extra $6, but I hate being "nickel and dimed" for something that I do not recall being told. Thankfully the ridiculous gates were out of service again, as seems to be the case on every visit. This time they removed the turnstiles. So, at least safety, was restored. Whippoorwill is a fine campground, but I think it is time to shop around for future visits. - rvparkreviews_cc

I stayed here for four days. Was the closest RV Park to Atlantic City beach and boardwalk. I would've gave them a higher star rating but their bathrooms needed to be updated a little bit. It is very rustic, lots of shade, Park was barely occupied. Would certainly stay here again. One member of staff very helpful for checking in. - Denise M Smith
Sep 2018 - $50.00
Campground is nice and quiet - mostly permanent sites though. The owners threw a nice labor day picnic for everyone which included free food and live music which made for a great time! My concerns were the playground is extremely outdated. There are also many rules accompanied by passive-aggressive signs - my favorite was "limit shower time to 5-7minutes - don't make us install a meter!" It's also posted that people with full hookups aren't allowed to use the restroom (see rule 5) in my photos. The bathrooms were clean though. I'd maybe consider returning if everywhere else was booked up but other then the picnic on Saturday it wasn't very kid friendly. The hiking trail was nice and clear but full of overgrown weeds leading up to the trail and not very well marked. - magnetic157
Jul 2018 - $120.00
This place is a mystery. We stayed in a 31' class C RV the end of June 2018. There was almost no one there. A few tent campers, one guy camping out of his cargo van, a few seasonals, but that's it. It's empty. No staff, no amenities, no security, no garbage pick up. Huge wooden dumpster for garbage at back (Taylor Road) entrance was full when we arrived. RV sites are a nice width with foliage in between - some sites are small even for a tent. The picnic tables are OLD, like rotten - wouldn't hold us. The narrow site roads are NOT big rig friendly. They can say it's clean and quiet because NO ONE was there. The store/registration office is not regularly staffed during business hours. The "store" is NOT modern - very dark, wooden shelves, unkempt (kind of scary...). Nothing for kids. - James DeMonquay
Aug 2018 - $20.00
I honestly worried coming into this park after reading online reviews. I stayed here with the Trails Collection program of my Thousand Trails stay, so it was only $20/night. We are in a 43' rig and I worried after hearing about how crazy tight the roads back into the campground were. Due to our size, we were put into the spots up front. They are grassy and in full sun. The one we got had a nice size yard between me and the next camper. The negatives to our spot: the water + electric hookups were on the wrong side of the camper and at the very rear. With an electric power inlet at the middle of my camper, I wouldn't have been able to plug in without an extension. The other negative is the sewer connection at the site: it's angled at like 45-degrees and wasn't threaded. Being able to hook into it meant I needed a weird stack of leveler blocks and rocks to hold it all together. The good, however- the pool area was absolutely stunning. We live in our rig and have traveled for years and this was literally one of the nicest pools we've seen. It's a great layout with the shallow 1' area up to the 5' area and then even over on that side is a ledge that's submerged. Our interactions with the staff - from the groundskeeper to the front office were all professional and pleasant. - LearnToRV
May 2012 - $36.00
There are only 9 RV sites available at this time. The remaining sites are all permanent single-wides. All sites are tree shaded. No way to get satellite TV. Cable TV is very good with plenty of channels. Sites can be very rough, parking on dirt. Park amenities are quite a distance from the sites, as is the trash dumpsters and laundry. Must pay completely in advance when making reservations. PA discount available, but restricted. Check it out. This is a Morgan RV Resorts property. Good location, 8 miles from Ocean City and 25 miles from Atlantic City. Owners/manager(s) not on site when we arrived. Two young men helped us park, and we needed the help. Roads are very narrow. Drop towed before parking. - kipmeister
Oct 2016 - $35.00
Very nice and fairly new campground. Season, with lots of activities going on. Owner and staff super friendly and helpful. Sites are grass with gravel parking areas for vehicles. No Wi-Fi at our site, but Verizon Mi-Fi and IPhone Wi-Fi worked very well. - dave398rls
Aug 2006 - $38.00
Just your basic park, located right on the Tuckahoe River. A quite place, mostly seasonal with very reasonably priced seasonal sites. No junk or drunks on golf carts. - Zipster
May 2016 - $34.00
Wonderful campground, excellent location. Located midway between Cape May (lovely, lovely) and Atlantic City (not so lovely), this campground has lots of shade, good management, and many summertime activities (swimming pool, game room, snack bar, bingo, etc.) for everyone. Sites are spacious with sand added to level the forest floor, so pads are needed under jacks. Many of the sites are leased for the season and all properties were well maintained. In the summer time there is also a farm stand nearby so you don't have to leave the campground. Trees lining the exit lane at the barrier arm from the campground need to be trimmed back; but, other than that, we had no complaints and will definitely stay there on our return trip. - Mom_of_Two
Nov 2018 - $40.00
This was our first time camping with our TT. We stayed close to home in order to learn how to use it. The staff was very helpful and helped us pick a site that was easy to navigate. Camped in early spring. Great park, very well stocked store. Nice and peaceful. Great 1st experience. Convenient to the beaches, restaurants and grocery stores. - Live Life - Keep It Simple
Sep 2017 - $75.00
Huge place! Campsite was long, but not wide. We were between seasonals with solid structures and large decks. It was pretty claustrophobic. Most of the place is seasonals who have been here years and know each other. Everyone was friendly enough but it had a mobile home park feel of the place. The road to the site is very narrow and winding. Very difficult to maneuver in a motorhome. The "lake" consists of an area that was dug out and filled with water. They did have a lot of sand for the kids to enjoy. Large camp store and lots of activities for the kids. Will go somewhere else next time. - Kevie
Sep 2017 - $79.00
The overall appearance of the park was very clean, cannot comment on restrooms or laundry as we did not use any facilities. We camped here knowing we would spend a great deal of our time at the shore towns so we brought our jetskis along with us. We did not engage in any of the planned activities or use the pools or lakes. There was ample parking in the overflow lot for our trailer and second vehicle. My only complaint about the place is the lack of a designated area to hose down boats/jetskis like many of the other campgrounds we visited this year. When asking the woman at the front gate where I could flush skis she told me to do it at my site. While parking my skis in the overflow lot I was approached by one of the staff members asking if I was the guy flushing my ski, he continued that he had someone complaining about flushing ski (my guess is one of the snobby nearby seasonals) at my site. I explained to him that I was instructed to flush skis at my site from a staff member at front gate due to the lack of designated area, he quickly replied that flushing or cleaning anything is strictly prohibited. Needless to say, if we plan on bringing our boat or jetskis on our next trip to the area we will not visit this campground again.. - Wjh1175
May 2016 - $75.00
Its is a seasonal park. Rates are $6500 to $7500+++.
Management is very unprofessional and ignorant. Power, internet WiFi, water, cable all are problems here.
There are better, more affordable, non-corporation owned campgrounds around. Do some research. There is a reason so many campers are for sale here. Fees go up a minimum of $200.00 every year. State police in here very often. Lots of items get stolen from your site.
Not the best around. - bbqman1968
Jul 2007 - $40.00
This campground is crowded and geared towards seasonals. The transient sites that are available are far and few between. Good luck trying to find out where your site ends and the other begins. This campground is owed and operated by a corporation and I guess they haven't been in the bathrooms or have had to take a shower in them lately. They do clean the bathroom/shower area but some of them are so old it just doesn't help. We were lucky I'm told in my area as far as the bathrooms go. But my friends had to had to enjoy the septic system being pumped out in that area while they had their breakfast. The pond is green with a nice beach and big slide, my six year old enjoyed playing in the area with the outdoor equipment. But we used the pool instead. They have their own restaurant on the grounds as well as a store. There were some activities available. I did find the speed limit a little fast for a campground but it is a big place. It wouldn't be my first choice but depending on what you want to spend there are other campgrounds in the area more expensive. It's a short ride to some great beaches in the area. - Hargus
Apr 2007 - $42.00
We camped at Pine Haven in the off season in early April. The campground was very nice, sites were large and fairly easy to get onto. - rmiller110
Aug 2018 - $36.00
Mostly permanent. Although 55+ they had no problem with my young children. Full hookup site was level. Nice pool. - Bjb1775
Aug 2018 - $36.00
This is a nice little quiet campsite. Nice pool, level sites, easy to navigate to sites. Would definitely stay there again! - Teddi2
May 2018 - $27.00
Made reservation for a month plus sight unseen. A very small and very quiet park with mostly long term residents. Roads are paved, sites have small stone base. Sites have poor separation and little visual appeal. Some sites require work to get your rig level. Water, electric, and sewer worked well. Cable TV requires a box (campground provides) and offers at least 75 channels, some in HD. 3rd party WiFi was frustrating and mostly unusable. Small friendly staff. Amenities of note... pool, small dog park, small playground, laundry. This campground is a good choice for a short stop-over but not so much a destination unless Atlantic City appeals to you. Some Jersey beaches are 30 mins to 1 hr away. Plenty of shopping and dining options within 5 miles though nothing is a walkable distance. - roadwoody
