All of the park staff were very kind and helpful. It was a little bit out of town but not too far for our family visits. Facilities were clean and well kept. Good dog parks. We will stay here whenever we are in Alamogordo. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We decided to stay a week to have some repairs (Alamo RV & Truck Ctr) done and to scout the local area. Restrooms were clean as well as the entire campground. Shows pride of ownership. The campground is well laid out and easy to maneuver around and into your space. Pull thru sites were about 90 feet long and can handle most RV's. Swear and water was well planned out with no lines crossing one another. A little noise from the road but nothing that really disturbed my sleep. We will camp here again on our way through. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

One of the nicest parks we have visited. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. The pull thru site was very level, long, wide and angled. The wi-fi was decent and all hook-ups worked well. Would definitely recommend and will stay again when in Alamogordo. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This was an overnight stop. We had driven by this park several times and finally decided to try it out, and we're glad we did. Nice folks, good, long pull through sites that easily accommodates big rigs. The sites are all gravel but well maintained. And it is a great value. Every thing worked just as you'd expect in a resort site. This is our new stopover location when traveling on US-54 headed to Kansas from Arizona. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here before. Great family Rv Park with large pull throughs. Clean bathrooms with spacious showers. The owners are very gracious hosts, accommodating to any need. A lot of area attractions to fill out a few days or a week. People have bonfires and socialize with the great weather. We will make this a frequent stop in our travels. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

I would recommend this park for an overnight stop but not for a longer stay. The road noise is particularly prominent. The sites for short-term stays, for some reason, are oriented facing the road, vs. the nicer view towards the mountains. As well, there is a very bright light at an entrance which shines right into your rig at night. This light could be re-directed to shine on the decorative "boots" vs. into rigs. On the plus side, the people in the office are very friendly and welcoming and offer a packet of helpful brochures of the area. There is nice distance between sites and they are staggered so that privacy is enhanced. With a little thought and revision, this could be a better stay. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nearby White Sands is a must. If you are going by in your rig with tow, pull in! Bypass the visitor center and gift shop, (and small parking lot) that is not where you buy tickets. Go on to the entrance booth. There are many RV accessible places to pull over and spend time. Did not think to ask about boondocking, but we saw people with tents, so worth a call to ask about boondocking. Neat little town nestled into the valley; not much in the way of restaurants, however.

Overall Rating:

This is a dusty, gravel parking lot next to US-54 outside of Alamogordo. Our nightly rate was for electricity ONLY in a pull-thru site approximately 20 yards from the highway which is a major trucking and travel corridor in and out of the city. Park advertises as a Good Sam park yet does not honor nor give any consideration to Good Sam members. Currently the highway is under construction so attempting to get southbound on the highway from the park is rather unsafe. Did not use the restrooms nor the showers and if it wasn't for the non-refundable deposit for our reservation would have left immediately after seeing the park and the "site" they had for us. Oh there was one good thing about the site, though a tight turn in, it was actually pretty level. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Don't trust the advertising and beware the ongoing road construction north of Alamogordo. It was here back in 2016 and still going strong.

Overall Rating:

The park roads were dirt and easily maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome. There were very few trees, and as is the norm with Southwestern parks, there was NO grass for our 3 golden retrievers. There was no cable TV connection. The water was easy to connect to, and the water pressure was sufficient. The sewer connection was at ground level, which makes connecting to it easier. The RV parking pad was gravel and was in good condition. The WiFi connection was OK to their access point, but the internet bandwidth was a 2/10, so it was basically useless. Verizon cell signal was 3 out of 5 bars, and there were no OTA TV stations. We don't use restrooms, showers or pools, so we can't render an opinion on those items. There was a nice large dog park, complete with some toys, but it was loose pea gravel on hard dirt, so after throwing toys and our girls chasing them and skidding to a stop for 15 minutes, we found their paws cut up and hurt from the gravel, so we didn't return for the rest of our stay. If your dog just walks around and does light playing it would probably be fine. We did not notice any significant road noise, but noise like that doesn't bother us anyway. The price was reasonable for the services received, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would likely stay here again. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A large gravel lot with a few trees. Decent gravel access roads. Mostly level gravel sites with adequate separation. Power OK, water OK, sewer OK. Note that they are on a isolated sewer system that they have to pump and transport to the city, so they do not allow heavy water/sewer usage - e.g. on board washers. No problems with satellite access. No recycle on site, but the Walmart in town has limited recycle (corrugated cardboard, paper, plastic 1 & 2, tin cans, but no box (cereal) board). Possible road bike riding outside campground on the highway. We would overnight here again. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed a week to visit the incredible White Sands National Monument and other places of interest. We loved this park, the staff are really friendly and helpful, everything is in great working order and kept clean and tidy. The park is all gravel which is kept in very good order. Sites are large and very easy to access in and out. There is a small shop and a very good exercise room. They also kindly load free of charge discs for sledding at the White Sands. Wifi during our stay was on the whole good. We certainly recommend this park. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Spacious park with easy access to sites. Our pull-thru site was very easy to get into and more than big enough. The sites are level and large enough for any rig. The sites, roads, and office parking area are all gravel and can be a little dusty in a New Mexico wind. We only overnighted here and did not use any of the facilities. Lots of open sky for satellite and Verizon coverage was good. This is a nice place for overnight or if you need to spend a few days in the area. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Terrific owners, very helpful and friendly. Spotless park. It is on the highway so there is road noise but it didn't bother us. No trees so no shade. Two dog exercise areas, fenced. Spaces very generous. Convenient location.

One downside is the exit: no traffic light and if you are going left you have to cross two lanes of traffic first to make the turn and it is a busy highway. Would stay again. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bring water for drinking. Their water is totally safe to drink, but has a briny taste to it which we did not care for, not their fault, the water in town was similar tasting.
