Park is a step up from your ordinary southwestern RV park. The entire campground, sitting on the high desert, is gravel with various shade trees concentrated near the front of the park. The sites use a shared utility layout. The pool is very clean and the staff friendly. We used the park as our jumping off to the various attractions we wanted to see. The campground is next to I-40 and a Camping World and only a few miles from shopping and restaurants. Old Town Albuquerque is only a little over 8 miles away. Good value for the proximity to Albuquerque and nightly rate. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Motorhome.

Price reflects weekly rate with taxes. Overall this is a nice, clean RV park at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was clean and welcome in the 100+ heat. We had a nice shade tree at the front of our pull-through site and it made a nice difference in our comfort level. Laundry was clean and worked well. Highway noise is definitely there, and we had to sleep with the windows closed. Albuquerque doesn't have much to offer in RV parks, and that makes this one of the best. We'll certainly stay here again. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Motorhome.

We've stayed here before and will stay again. The price is right with 30amp connection and the Passport America discount (which is only valid for 3 days). Some spots have more tree shade than others (and some spots share an electrical box so they're closer together). There is also the noise from the freeway. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Motorhome.

We felt safe at this park; but, if you want more security, the park across the freeway has a security fence/gates surrounding their property...however the cost is significantly higher.

Stayed for a week. If you only need 30 amp you can get a passport America discount. We needed 50 amp. They are on the "new" row and so there aren't many trees in that section. Nice clean, quaint park. Next door to camping world, close to many attractions. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Fifth Wheel.

We ended up here because of a problem with the tires on our 5th wheel. We had to spend several days waiting for new tires to be shipped to us and since we didn't know how long we would be here, the people at Enchanted Trails worked with us every day to make sure we had a spot. Sites are of adequate size and each has a picnic table. Shade trees are located around the park to try and give each site some shade. AT&T phones, Verizon MiFi and Dish TV all worked very well. There is plenty of space for walking dogs. Best thing here is the laundromat, however. Machines are all clean and in good working order and the price is more than reasonable. If you have laundry to be done, do it here. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 2 nights on Passport America - dirt / gravel roads and sites. Being a smaller rig has it's advantages and we had a pull through near the office and bathrooms. Sites are close together - for larger rigs you may share a utility post and be very close to the backside of the rig beside you. Office very shabby and souvenirs are few and dusty - might suggest front desk person spend some time cleaning and less watching tv. We've stayed here before and come back because of the price, otherwise, it wouldn't be on our repeat list. You are close to Rt 40 and at the top of a hill, so jake brakes are a common sound. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Truck Camper.

Very easy to get to Old Town Albuquerque from park. LaMesa RV and Camping World as well as a Freightliner location are on the access road to the park so you can do some accessory shopping or repairs while in the area.

Stayed one night in a 22 foot travel trailer. Very interesting, a must stop just so you can claim you did. The restored travel trailer collection as you enter the park is beautiful. The park is clean and has a nice area for walking the dogs. Quiet except for the big rigs on I40. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

The park is one large gravel lot with over 100 full hook ups. RV's are parked side by side facing opposite directions, so my door opens to the neighbors door. Water pressure is OK and utilities are properly placed. The WiFi is spotty and drops frequently, works OK when you can stay connected. The site was long but the tow vehicle would have been in the roadway if I remained connected and pulled to the utilities. I would have disconnected anyway as I was running into town regularly. Most sites have a south view for satellite TV. There is no dog park though there are areas to walk them. Web site advertises monthly rate $360.00 for 30 amp and $390.00 for 50 amp plus electricity charge. Called to get a monthly site as my wife is going to the University of New Mexico Hospital for treatment. I was told no monthly, but because of her treatment the could give me a site for two weeks. I have walked the park and there are 15 or so empty sites in just 2 rows of long term sites, maybe more as I didn't walk the far East part of the park. I was placed in what appears the transient area for $350, if I stay two more weeks they get $700. It's all about how many $$. There are empty sites in the park every night and keeping them short term they can get more for the sites. The transient area does get a lot of traffic in for a few days but has never been full. There is an on site laundry with 6 or so machines for 115 sites. You'll find an untrained dog in the office and carpet that shows it. 40 East has construction so if you're heading that way plan some extra time most any time of day. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Fifth Wheel.

Cross I-40 on Atrisco Vista (past Loves) to Dennis Chavez Blvd go left and you will find shopping, fast food, laundromat, etc. 6-8 miles. Camping World is next door. Albuquerque has something for everyone, art, museums, parks, old towns got lots of small shops, zoo, bio park, & aquarium.

Our third time staying here. Price is at Passport America rate. Level gravel , FHUs , wifi that occasionally worked. Close to interstate so some noise but not bad. Tree limbs could be trimmed at site. but not too bad. We would return. Climate good for this time of year. We stayed one night in 40" MH w/ toad. Interesting park with a lot of Route 66 history and a collection of old RVs set up as motel rooms. The office building / store / community rooms are part of an old tourist trading post built in the 1940's and decorated with memorabilia from the days before it became an RV park in the 1970's. We were warmly greeted and registered quickly. There were no problems navigating thru the park to our site. Site length was long enough for the RV with parking behind. The sites in our section were laid out in alternating directions so you share your door side space with your neighbor. Space between the rigs is close on the utility side but fairly generous on the door-side. Our site was quite a bit unlevel side to side. 30 amp electric was good, water pressure was low between 30 - 40 psi. OTA TV signals were strong and plentiful. Couldn't get connected to the WiFi so we used our hotspot which received 4 bars. The park was clean and well kept. We would come back again. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Fifth Wheel.

Kitschy Route 66 park was affordably priced. Hookups worked fine, even Internet was acceptable (not enough bandwidth for streaming, but no trouble surfing). Spots were a little narrow and your neighbor's scabby picnic table is right next to your scabby picnic table; entire park is fine shale gravel and was VERY DUSTY. We struggled to get level (at one point Georgie's right front foot was over a foot off the ground! Had to pull back in VERY close to neighbors to be able to level. Laundry room was good, had a great triple loader washer for $2.50 and extra large dryers at $1.75, which has been rare in our travels. NO cable, but the rabbit ears brought in about 35 area channels, so no need for it. Perfect location next to Camping World and right off of I-40 just a couple of minutes to downtown and Petroglyph NM. Quiet, considering proximity to highway. On Site Oil Change came and changed Georgie's oil here and a mobile tech recommended by Camping World came and replaced our furnace motor on site as well (paid for by our Good Sam Service Plan). We enjoyed looking in the windows of the old classic travel trailers displayed on site. Also, due to the park having the only trees in the vicinity, the birds were plentiful and sang happily all day. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Motorhome.

Sandia Peak Tram is a MUST SEE! Takes you all the way to the top of 10,000+ foot peak; from here you can see forever in every direction. Petroglyph National Monument was awesome, Rio Bravo Brewery's Level 3 DIPA was the best I've had. ABQ Zoo was also a lot of fun; went on a Saturday so was PACKED with families, but the exhibits were enjoyable and especially liked watching the baby chimps and other baby primates.

This is a great stopping point for any travels along I-40. Close to Albuquerque and within 1½ hour of several National Park Service sites and Santa Fe. Owners are super nice!! Spots long and level. Good clean power and water. Never did get wifi to work, but strong cell phone signals (Verizon and AT&T). Neat old RVs on display. Propane available on site. Well worth the price with PA discount. We wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return!! We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Motorhome.

We loved staying here last year so decided to add a week here again after Balloon Fiesta. It's a retro park with the main building dating back to the 40's as a trading post. Laundry room has antique washing machine & ironing machine. Lots of Route 66 decor. They have some retro trailers you can rent for a night or two. Staff is friendly, roads are wide & easily managed in a 45' w/tow. This time we had a back-in spot with easy access. You're about 19 miles west of ABQ with easy I-40 accessible. Wi-fi in our area was non-working due to a broken part. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Motorhome.
