Overall Rating:

This campground is part of the Route 66 Casino complex. Although very expensive, the sites and amenities are deluxe. Really wide and long pull throughs with space between sites. The end sites are fantastic with desert views and a few native plants, fire ring and picnic table. The gravel surrounding the concrete pads are done in different colors in a simple design. The "club house" is well done and has gas fireplace, foosball, pool table, shuffleboard, big screen TV and free coffee. The casino's all you can eat crab buffet was great but only if you like seafood. The other offerings on Fridays were minimal. Casino didn't smell of smoke as bad as some and there is a very small non-smoking section. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

After being on the east coast for over a year (where you can reach out and touch your neighbor), it is so nice to be in an rv park that has some room! Long, wide pull thru site with concrete so a big rig won't damage the asphalt. This park is brand new and it shows! Just off I-40 (route 66) but far enough away so there is no highway noise. Right next to a Route 66 Casino. Park has an outdoor pool and you can use the casino's indoopool too. The Casino has 5 restaurants so you really don't need to drive to Albuquerque for dinner. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the second time we have stayed at Route 66 it will be our goto place when ever we are in the area. The park is roomy, as are the spots...both pull-thru and back-in. All are paved and very level, with room for a couple of cars. The trees are young, so do not provide much, if any, shade. Friendly staff. Garbage pickup at site. 24-hour staff. Just off the I-40, right behind the casino. And don't forget the Laguna Burgers just around the corner!! We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

It is hard to add much to all the positive comments about this park. The only major negative is no cable TV. There are, hover, lots of Albuquerque OTA channels and it looks like all sites are satellite friendly. That leads to another possible negative. There are no trees so there is no shade from the summer heat. Some people might complain that it is a long walk to the very nice pool area which is 100+ yards away from the closest sites. I believe all sites are FHU and they appear to be 50/50 between pull through and back in. Our site was a large, level, pull through. In addition to the pool, there is a clubhouse and several other recreational activities. The bathrooms and laundry are modern and clean. Finally, I did not notice any recycling. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

New park west of Albuquerque. Great southwestern landscaping, nice dog park, lovely large sites with great big concrete pads. This is essentially a casino campground, but it terrific in it's own right. WiFi is excellent. Great water pressure & electric. No cable TV, but a ton of great OTA stations. Lots of space between sites. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Really really really nice park with lovely landscaping, great paved, level, WSE sites and wide paved interior roads. Seamless checkin with an escort to our site. Great pool. Shuttle to adjacent casino and "world famous Laguna burger" across the highway. We enjoyed the BOGO buffet in the casino which we got by signing up for their players card. Immaculate in every respect. No cable TV but lots of OTA stations. We did not use campground WIFI as we use our own Verizon plan which worked well. No trees (hey it's the desert). Great dog parks with nice grass (something our pooch hadn't seen in a while). We enjoyed sitting out in the evenings watching the moon rise over the New Mexico desert. Close to Albuquerque amenities (20 minute drive) where we enjoyed hiking Petroglyphs National Monument and all the fun stuff in town. Loved it here and would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful, clean, maintained, well laid out. 30, 50 & 100 amp. Full hook up. Escorted to our site. Sites are very large. Good space between sites. The casino is on premises, shuttle takes you there from your site or you can drive. Casino was very nice, clean. I am not a smoker and the smoke really bothered my eyes and throat. They do have a smoking section, but didn't help for me. I would highly recommend the RV resort. They have many services, exercise room, amenities, pool tables, and a beautiful outdoor pool. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The only negative was the 20 miles to Albuquerque. The casino has good food. But the local green chill burger is legendary and incredible. It's so popular, allow 40 minutes wait. The line is a constant 20 people waiting for the freshly prepared burgers!

Let me start off, we will return to this great park. It was so clean I thought it had just opened. The staff was very helpful to all our needs from welcome to escorting us to our site. We had originally intended to be there just one night but wanted to add an extra night and was accommodated without a problem. This is a first class park located mid point between Las Vegas Nevada and Oklahoma City. Also, 100 amp connection available. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We like to stay in casino RV parks for overnight stops on long trips in our motorhome. They are usually no-frills parks (mostly parking lots), convenient to the highway, with onsite restaurants, good access to diesel and good security. This park was a total surprise! This is a fully developed RV park, with big-rig friendly asphalt roads, concrete pads, spacious landscaped sites, picnic tables, fire pits, a very nice clubhouse, pickle ball court and an excellent pool/hot tub area with beautiful views of the mountain range south of Abuqueque. It is right off of I40, but the RV park is behind the casino and very quiet. They run a shuttle with door-to-door service to the casino and a couple of local attractions, but it is also a pleasant walk to the casino. There are several good restaurants inside. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for an overnight. Very easy access off of Route 40. This park was built three years ago and is part of a casino. Clean and modern, with spacious sites. Office staff was nice. My only "worry" was the wifi was unsecured. I have a vpn, but still, like secured internet. There is nothing (that I could see) to do once you left the casino area. The casino has a swimming pool, a pickle ball court, a volleyball court, a horseshoe pit, and a dog wash. The casino has several places to eat-we ate in our rv, so no idea if the food was any good. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice campground with wide sites, long pull-throughs, concrete pads for rig, paved walking area and picnic table surface. Nice dog run areas. Staff friendly. Petroglyph National Monument is nearby. Food in casino was surprisingly not very good. Great meal options in Albuquerque. Needed Cummins regular service and the folks at Cumins Rocky Mountain, Albuquerque Branch were very nice and pet friendly.

Thank you for your feedback, the guest experience is very important to us and we value your input. We see you discovered the New Mexico winds! While it does occasionally get windy, we think those gorgeous sunset hues over the Southwestern landscapes make up for any wind we get throughout the year. We're glad to hear you enjoyed The Hungry Cowboy Buffet. Makes plans now for your next visit, our all-new award-winning Buffet 66 will be back this winter and you're definitely going to want to visit this innovation culinary experience! Stayed for one night. All staff are friendly, courteous, and seemed to enjoy their work. Although the pool slide was not working at the time of our stay, the pool is beautiful and clean. The clubhouse was amazingly well appointed and clean. Large pull through sites are easy in and out and give you a feeling of having your own space. Free shuttle directly from your site to the casino is super convenient. We enjoyed our brief stay and would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
