As mentioned previously in other comments the nice sites are taken by long term or monthly. However on those sites the trees needed to be trimmed. I understand the owner was in the hospital during our stay and may have been ill when our reservations were taken. The website in my opinion is misleading, the cable was so bad that the over the air TV reception was better, WiFi was non-existent, water pressure was low, site very unlevel (could be because we were in the back near storage area) and electric was borderline. AT&T coverage was spotty in the area. Others in the sites on either side of us were disappointed in the park and also mentioned the wifi issues and water issue. I would not stay here again because when I made the reservation I explicitly stated we required a shaded site and was told I would definitely have a shaded site. Our site was backed up to a metal building with no shade. A month before arrival I called to verify our site and again specified it had to have shade and was told it did. If they had just told me the only site they had did not have a shade tree then I could have made a choice. The reason we picked this park was for the shaded sites. To me misleading is the worst offense. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Stanton is nearby and was very interesting to visit. Call ahead to make sure things are open. Rio Grande Grill came to be our favorite restaurant. Good food and good service.

Recently, we stayed at Little Creek RV Park. The nice sites are almost all permanent rvs or sites that were purchased for the season. We paid $650.00 for 1 month and there are NO refunds under any circumstances! The site was very small; too close to other rvs; it was at the back of the park by the storage area; the cable tv was TERRIBLE; the WIFI was not available at the site; the cellular reception was 2 bars or less; the dog park was full of active prairie dog holes and the waste was not disposed of properly. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Motorhome.

Easy to miss this park from the road.... our Navigation had the correct address, but wasn't correct and we missed the small sign. Turn around was not easy. Clean, friendly, adults only park, with no showers due to drought. Hummingbirds everywhere, not many scenic views, but seasonal Texas residents are friendly, and all are attempting to escape the heat at home. Well water is very hard, leaving a residue. Nice little doggie park, right next to a large ravine. Monthly price is good, but owner has health issues. Hosts are very helpful to owner and visitors. Wifi drops regularly, cable ok, not very clear, sites are somewhat level but pretty close. Everyone has at least one dog and we saw a seasonal visitor scold a new visitor because he was going faster than the posted 5 MPH. Weather was hotter than normal, but big shade trees which need trimming helped keep things cooler. Many signs so pet owners don't allow their dogs to defficate on what little grass there is but there is a nice little fenced in area as I mentioned before. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We only experienced a small portion of RUIDOSO. We did get to the racetrack which needs a face lift. Highly recommend Michael J's Italian Restaurant. A reservation is needed, but well worth it... opens at 5pm. Cornerstone Bakery, and Casa Blanca Restaurant had good food! We Didn't go to any of the historical sites this time, but my husband golfed at KOKOPELLI which was a par 3 golf course and cost $150!

We stayed here 10 nights. This is a very well maintained park. Staff are friendly, checking in was a breeze. Far enough from town to be peaceful yet close enough to visit. Some road noise during the day if you pay attention, but quiet at night when it matters. Mostly seasonal RV'ers from Texas. We stayed in site #5 and the rv wifi was excellent! 5 washers and 5 dryers that were inexpensive and worked very well. Many beautiful hikes within a 10-15 minute drive. We would definitely recommend this park and would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has many favorable reviews which are accurate. It really is a nice park for big rigs and high end travel trailer. However it caters heavily to long term seasonal users, which means the weekend traveler may end up in a crummy spot. We were on a bare gravel site with no shade. A Wal-Mart parking lot might have been better. Also, camping in a teardrop trailer means we really depend on the campground bathrooms. No showers was a big disappointment. The bathrooms are just two private toilet and sink rooms, if they are both occupied you will wait. Hosts nice, campground well maintained, other guests (mostly well to do Texans) nice, friendly, and quiet. Ruidoso is a great little town that has good golf, horse racing, nice restaurants, casino, shopping. Well worth a visit. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Sundowner dinner rates at Cattle Baron are a fantastic bargain. I think it ends at 5:30. You get a great meal for about $9.00. Can't Stop Smokin' has good barbecue- take out or eat in. The Links at Sierra is good and unusual golf course - half links style and half a mountain course.

This campground is at an altitude of about 7000. It's truly scenic and beautiful there. We saw deer, elk and blue birds in the park, and a roadrunner right outside the park. Our site was next to a large field which was great for walking our dog. We were told that the park was having water issues because of the dry winter so the showers were closed while we were there. The roads were easy to navigate. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We would stay here again, but first would inquire about water situation to be better prepared. I would give Little Creek RV Park a 10 if the WiFi had worked but we had to bump up our cell phone data so we could use our mifi for Internet access. Friendly staff and owner, clean, has many return seasonal RV'erst, level sites (gravel) with concrete patio and table. Little Creek has cable TV, good water pressure, 20, 30 and 50 amp, back in sites with a few pull through sites, Verizon worked well. We stayed 1 month and 3 weeks, we would return. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Motorhome.

This was a nice park with lots of trees. We stayed here in a 45' Motorhome. The first site we were assigned we could not back into because of the low hanging trees. The next gravel site was fine. The roads are not paved and dusty when the wind blows. Also we used our hotspot since the internet was very poor. This was overall a nice place to stay. It has been several years since we were here and it is just as cute, clean, and relaxing as before. Limited spaces for 45 footers, wifi is extremely weak, and ATT service is iffy at best. Mostly older crowd with dogs galore so everybody is super friendly. Have not seen the deer or elk yet but looking forward to them roaming the park early and late. Best park in the Ruidoso area for big rigs. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Motorhome.

This quiet park caters mainly to older, seasonal visitors. My spacious site that I was able to secure for a week was a temporarily vacant seasonal spot that featured a large landscaped concrete patio and a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. The owner and guests were all very friendly. AT&T cell service was a little spotty and WiFi was not the best. This was one of the nicest stays I've had at an RV park. Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do, or see, in the Ruidoso area. Hiking in the White Mountain Wilderness area afforded some spectacular mountain views. Day trips to Lincoln, Capitan, historic Fort Stanton, Valley of Fires and Three Rivers Petroglyph site were also enjoyable.

We moved here from another local campground that we just felt too "squeezed" in. The curb appeal of Little Creek RV Village is fabulous. The staff bent over backwards to find a site for us as they were fully booked. But with the help of a loaned extension cable we ended up in a wonderful private space overlooking green rolling hills and pine trees. Level gravel sites. Clean laundry facility. Showers were closed due to drought in the area though. AT&T phone service just one blip so spotty, but free wi-fi and cable tv connection worked fine. Nice pet walk area leads to a fenced pet run. We booked another night we liked our spot so much. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for a week in the middle of August. Definitely would stay here again. Small, well kept, with wide access roads and ample room between spaces (except for ours - see below), far enough away from noise of Ruidoso, close enough to get to town in reasonable time. Easy big rig access, over 55. Filled with dog lovers. Nearly all spaces taken during the high season by seasonal Class A rigs, only one 50 amp available to short-term like us. Several 30 amp spaces are usually open, however, all back up to a painted wood fence with some sort of light manufacturer on the other side. On some days every space was taken. Call ahead; we made our reservation a month in advance and still were faced with a possible move in the middle of our stay. The Wi-Fi is now 'free' but where we stayed the signal was too weak to be useful. Verizon data gave us 3 bars. We stayed in #61 with a 34' rig, backed up to the dry creek and wonderful views (good). Very very very tight (25' wide with obstruction), so if you are unsure of your back-in skills you probably should avoid this particular space. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Fifth Wheel.

It's a very nice park. Clean, friendly, and beautiful area. Many of the sites are long term but there were plenty of daily sites available. Nice concrete pads with picnic benches at each site. Gravel roads and gravel sites. There's a fenced pet area available also. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Travel Trailer.

Very large spaces with decent spacing and turning radius when backing into the back in sites. A friendly lady who owns the park and registers guests. No escort to the site and wi-fi is not free or included. $4.95 for 24hours and $17.95 a week extra for Wi-Fi. Some road noise and many people have yappy dogs which they seem to think is cute. We had our own Verizon air card, so can not comment on the quality of paid Wi-Fi. Verizon seemed to have a strong signal from this park while other carriers were not as dependable. Good cable TV, strong water pressure, and good electrical power. My price reflects a longer term stay, as there are many long term rigs in this park. We camped at Little Creek RV Village in a Motorhome.

Overall this is an OK park. Roads are dirt, as are the parking spots. Our park spot was neither flat nor level. Had to reposition after steps wouldn't open. Trees are planted where they provide shade but interfere with satellite reception. The area is beautiful and this is the nicest park we saw. We would stay here again.
