Beautiful place of resort quality. Great Clubhouse, Bunkhouse/laundry, pet area, fire pit and hot tub facilities. The perimeter trail is great to walk as the entire path provides mountain and valley views and beautiful flower plantings. Unfortunately, no dog trash receptacles on the path or anywhere in the park except at the pet area. The picnic tables are not your basic table - very stylish but we wished they'd have traded some of the expense of making them stylish for a simpler table with some shade over them. Some trees throughout will mature to provide some shade but not at most of the sites. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There's not much to do in Angel Fire in the summer but golf or fish at the resort lake South of the village. The Vietnam Memorial is exceptional - do not miss it. As much as we enjoyed the resort, we will be camping near Red River in the future for easy access to more trails, more sites (the Rio Grande Gorge is NOT to be missed), more restaurants, more fishing, etc. If you just want a great RV destination to watch the mountains, clouds and birds, this is the place.

Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest campgrounds. The sites are level and paved, each site has a tower with electric and cable and internet. The Wifi was great - thankfully - because there is no Verizon service at all. We also have a T-Mobile phone and that phone worked fine. The landscaping is beautiful. The check in desk and store is very nice and the people that work there are friendly. There is a big clubhouse that had a BBQ one night with burgers, drinks and music for a reasonable price. Everyone we met was so friendly and we left with new friends. There is a nice big dog park in the middle with very nice grass. There is a gravel walking loop around the whole campground that we enjoyed. We drove into Taos two different days and we also drove into Red River. Angel Fire was a bit sleepier than we expected and the grocery store was disappointing. The fresh fruits and vegetable section was very limited. The store seemed to focus on alcohol and snacks. We ended up going into Taos for groceries instead. The Walmart in Taos is old and small - it isn't a super store and it doesn't have groceries. But there is a Smiths and an Albertsons and they were large grocery stores with a large selection. If we come back to Angel Fire we will definitely stay here again - we will just arrive with everything we already need in the RV so we don't have to leave this beautiful resort. There is a nice large hot tub and fire pit near the showers. The showers were like a country club locker room - very clean and large and smelled wonderful. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful park that is now one of our top 5 parks that we've visited nationwide! The Angel Fire RV Resort is part of the larger Angel Fire Resort portfolio of properties that include the lodge, the country club, etc. The RV resort is relatively new - about 3 years old - and reflects most of the things that experienced RVers look for in a resort. Large spaces, most pull-thrus, great landscaping with lots of wildflowers (although trees are not mature and there isn't much shade). Modern connections in the right place that work well. Good wifi with boosters at every site. Paved streets and concrete pads. Large clubhouse, spotless restrooms and laundry facilities, Pickleball and horseshoes. Lots of activities, both onsite and offsite. The manager and her staff do an outstanding job of customer service. All in all, an outstanding experience. What made it a 9 and not a 10 for us? A design flaw. We stayed in one of the Executive sites which are billed as adult only. However, they are located right next to the Pickleball courts and horseshoe pits. The exact places that attract both adults and kids making lots of noise. With what we know now, we probably won't pick those sites again. The other sites are essentially the same size, just located farther way. Anyway....we loved our time here and will surely return. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lots of easy day trips available to Taos, Red River, Cimarron, and Mora. Beautiful scenery. The golf course at Angel Fire is great! Remember that you're at about 8,500' and you need to take it easy until you acclimate.

This is by far the best campground in Angel Fire area, or for that matter, in Enchanted Circle loop. All paved interior roads, cement pads, good spacing between sites. Good WiFi and easy to maneuver with a big rig. Has wonderful 1 mile hiking path around campground and clubhouse. When you stay here you also get access to Angel Fire Country Club which has a pool, fitness center, golf course, restaurant and much more. Park is gated for additional security. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Motorhome.

One of the nicest parks in the US. We came for a week and stayed another week because it was so lovely. The management was delightful, facilities were beyond expectations and the cool mountain air was awesome. Don't miss this best kept secret in NM. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Can't say one bad thing about this park - utilities were great, pad size great and pad level great. The Cable and Wifi were very good. The scenery is incredible and the park landscaping is impeccable. A pool would have made me rate it a 10. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We came for one week and stayed two. It's that nice. And, it didn't hurt that while it was near 100 degrees most everywhere around here, it never exceeded low 80s in Angel Fire and nice cool nights! Such a lovely setting, you have a view of the entire horizon. Sites are large with natural landscaping and perennial flowers. There are literally hundreds of aspens and other trees planted which will make it even better in a few years. Dog park is large, grassy and well maintained. Section 8 is adult only and costs $10 more per night and we spent the first week there. Then we moved to site 201 because that was what was available but we actually preferred it. Close to the office/laundry/dog park and a great view. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Several activities going on from pickle ball, putting, yoga, ice cream sundaes to a hamburger cookout with live music. The laundry machines are new and large and take credit cards only. I only looked at the showers/restroom but they are gorgeous and private. WiFi was out for a day during our stay but they got it fixed and it was good the rest of the time. Cable is also good and it is satellite friendly. Verizon signal is very weak in Angel Fire. Beautiful clubhouse has a ping pong table and a bunch of games, etc. It's not cheap but in this case you do get what you pay for. It's a bit off the beaten path but so worth it and I hope we return someday. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Follow the directions they give you and note that this in on Hwy 64 just west of the road that goes into Angel Fire. Places we ate that we recommend: Hail's Holy Smoke Barbecue in Angel Fire, Red River Brewery and Taos Mesa Brewing has great pizza.

This is an absolutely beautiful resort in a great location in Angel Fire. The sites are wide and big, the roads are all paved and the sites are concrete. All of the utilities are perfectly placed and the WiFi signal is strong. We use T-Mobile for cell phones and full bars inside the camper as well. We will definitely visit again. Tips for other Campers:

Great place to stay but realize that it is a good 30 minute drive back into Taos. Also carefully read the directions in your confirmation email. There are some roads in the area that are NOT RV friendly. The best route is US-64 and even it is very narrow with lots of curves.

Overall Rating:

Gated park is beautiful as is surrounding landscape. Sites were spacious and well maintained. About a 40 minute drive to Taos. I reduced the rating on this park because for top dollar, we expect friendly staff that is polite and welcoming. Instead, the woman who worked the desk did not smile, was not friendly and almost acted put out. When we returned later to ask her questions about the laundry facility, she again appeared annoyed that we had to ask. The park was not busy at all, so it was not like she was stressed with customers. We have been RVers for over 15 years and have rarely encountered such a lack of hospitality in a park designated as a "resort." However, I had a very positive encounter with a maintenance worker, who was very friendly and helpful, so perhaps the woman at the front desk was the exception and just a bad fit for a front desk customer service job. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I would definitely consider this a 5-star RV resort. Enjoyed the special pricing and the nice, quiet time of year. When the trees leaf out the place will be even more beautiful; I would not describe this as a "parking lot" with the nice amount of space and landscaping in between the spaces. We very much enjoyed the walking trail that encircles the resort, as well as the hot tub and beautiful facilities. I would say that the washer/dryer set up is a bit tricky and not always reliable; expensive, too. A couple recommendation I'd make would be to install more pet waste disposal cans around the property, and place some benches in the dog park. Other than that I would recommend following the website directions to the resort if you have a large rig, as several approaches are very curvy/difficult. We came from the Santa Fe area using their website directions, and even then the roadways had several 25-35 mph twists and turns. I cannot close without singing the praises of the male staff member who helped us during our stay. He was very welcoming and responsive, and an absolute pleasure to engage with. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A very clean, fresh facility. We enjoyed the dog park, it was huge with plush grass and secured gates. We could walk the dogs on a trail that goes all the way around the perimeter. We did the hot tub while we did our laundry and it was very nice, clean, and first class. Our site was large and level concrete pull through. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The resort is nicely landscaped and there are hundreds of aspen trees. When the trees mature it will be very nice, but still displayed a beautiful fall colors. Truly an RV resort, Angel Fire RV Resort offers a 1st class camping experience for a price. Sites are nicely spaced apart with very nice landscaping. A walking trail circles the park and access to National Forest trails is less than a mile away. Bathrooms are the nicest we've ever seen and there is a hot tub and gas fire pit just outside the bathhouse. Daily garbage pickup, a nice dog park, walking trail around the park and easy access to US forest and the town of Angel Fire. The US highways in are narrow and twisty but well maintained.
