Good for an overnight. They required a 2 night stay the week of Balloon Fiesta but we watched others stay one night and leave. They have a no-hook-up overflow area. Idk what they were charged. This parks backs up to the expressway. Sites are pull through and are very tight for big rig with 4 slides, took some maneuvering but we got it in. No extending awnings. No tables. Obey the speed limit, 5 mph, or they follow you to your site to remind you. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

This is a clean park with continuous traffic noise. Sites are near-level dirt and gravel. Some sites have trees, but little shade. Voltage is good. The circuit breaker box at my site was very close to the ground, and only had a 50 amp outlet, which was outside the box exposed to the weather. Sewer connections are unthreaded. Roads are wide gravel in good condition. There are two clean showers on the men's side, but no private dressing area. WiFi is fairly strong. I measured 28.3 kB/s down very early in the morning; it's usually even slower. Verizon LTE usually works well. Terrestrial broadcast TV: ABC CBS CW ION NBC PBS. Laundry: 4 top-loaders ($2), 4 dryers ($2). Staff are friendly and helpful. Credit cards are not accepted. There's lots of pro-firearms signage; I never saw any firearms. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

Interesting park with huge spaces and interior roads. Great satellite accessibility. it is in the middle of nowhere with 20+ milea to a gas station and 22 miles to the city of Socorro and its Walmart. It does abut I-25 but this section doesn't get as much traffic as other sections. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Travel Trailer.

Shop in Socorro, get gas there too. Closer station is a Phillips 66 but it got a lot of traffic and had a number of pumps out of order, not worth the stop.

Very close to I-25 and therefore lots of traffic noise all night long. Nice pull-thru sites, easy hookups and friendly staff. Thunderstorm that night and it was beautiful! Pet friendly with a dog run for the dog, he loved it, had it all to himself! Nothing else even close, 20 some miles to anything, out in the middle of no where USA. No picnic table, no fire ring just a spot to put the unit for the night. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed our stay at Kiva RV Park. Staff was very nice, sites were large with planted shade trees on either side of our site. Enclosed dog run; kept clean with waste can and tools available. If you're looking for a designer park with pool, etc. this is not your spot. If you want a quiet, clean, spacious site with good wifi signal call for a reservation! We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

CG is convenient to I-25 with good enough access. We drove our 45ft MH towing into, around, and out of the park with careful driving. Everything in the park is gravel and could be muddy or dusty depending on the weather. Utilities work OK but placement is a bit weird and varies by site. The back of the CG has long pull-throughs and we were able to stay connected for the night. It is located right next to the highway but surprisingly quiet. Friendly and helpful office personnel. Did not try wifi or restrooms so cannot comment on that. Hotspot worked well enough for casual browsing. Not a destination campground but a good spot if you are just looking for a night's sleep. We stayed for one night, as we have before. Though right next to an interstate, the noise was more than tolerable. Our site was long and shaded, and though close to others, we did not feel crowded. The park has a lot of permanent residents but seems to be well run with a friendly staff. We will stay here again when we need to. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Travel Trailer.

Check in was fast and easy, and the employees were pleasant and helpful. We were guided to the site. We found that the site was narrow, with all 4 of our slides out. There was a tree at the end of the site, on one side, which prevented us from pulling our rig up to the end of the site. If we had pulled to the end of the site, we couldn't have opened the front slide without hitting the tree. Also, due to the tree, we found that we couldn't walk completely around the coach. The hook-ups were easy to find and easy to get connected. The interior roads and sites were gravel and dirt, so when it rained, it was muddy. Satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and AT&T cell service was good. Antenna TV kept going in and out. Basically, this is a no frills park, good for a night or two. We would stay again, if in the area. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

Thank you for staying with us here at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel. At the time of your visit, one of the busiest times of the year for Kiva, the only sites we had available were on our overflow row. And yes, some of the sites are not as roomy as others within the park, but the sites are full hook-up, level and clean and we do our best to place your rig in the best suitable site that we have available when you make your reservation or when you drive in without reservations.

We hope you do stay with us again. Travel safe and we'll see you next time.

We were only going to stay 2 nights but ended up staying a week. Campground has full-hook, good WiFi & is satellite friendly. Sites a little close, but we were able to put out our 3 slides. Staff in office friendly & helpful. Campground offered everything that we needed. We would definitely stay here again if in area. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

We made this our base camp. One day we drove east to the Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument. Next day we drove south west to the Very Large Array, ghost town Kelly & San Miguel. Another day we went north to Albuquerque and finally we went over to the Bosque Bird Sanctuary to see the cranes.

Thank you for staying with us here at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel. We are glad you enjoyed the park and had a great time exploring the area. The time of your visit was a busy time and sites were limited, and you were placed in our overflow row in which the sites are not as roomy as others within the park.

We do offer friendly staff, clean and quiet park, clean restrooms and showers, level sites.

We hope you will stay with us again. Travel safe and we'll see you next time.

Poor roads and Chuck holes all over the place. Had to drive through many puddles of water to get to lot. There is simply no excuse for this that a cheap load or two of gravel and a simple drag couldn't accomplish. Lot was narrow and side bushes were not trimmed properly. Just plain lack of simple maintenance. Bad road noise from Interstate 25. They appear to be very firearms happy from the signs displayed. Scares the hell out of you. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

This is a good overnight stop. Basic no frills park in the desert. Our site was a long level pull thru, strong 50 amp, excellent wifi, good satellite reception and wonderful owners. We had a medical emergency a week prior and were trying to get to our winter park in AZ. We knew it was balloon fest time and sites were limited but the owner was so accommodating when I explained our situation and was able to get us a site for our 45 footer and our tow for the night. Excellent site, excellent owners. Only negative was some road noise but was tolerable. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

Thank you for staying with us here at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel. October is one of the busiest times of the year because of the Abq. Balloon Fiesta and I am glad we were able to accommodate you and your rig during this time in one of our overflow sites. September and October are always months that are busy and reservations made ahead of time are a good thing to do.

We do offer some overflow sites and dry camping if we need to use them during our busy times. We hope you will stay with us again. Travel safe and we'll see you next time.

This park is 12-15 miles from anything. It is very close to I-25 and there is a lot of road noise. We had an unsecured reservation. The office staff is very friendly. We paid $15 with Passport America discount and paid cash. They do not accept credit cards. This was just an overnight for us. We were led to our long pull-thru site. Roads easy to maneuver with a big rig. We did not disconnect the tow car and did not connect to sewer. All sites clean, tidy, and level. They have an enclosed dog area that is gravel. Wifi is $2 extra, we did not use. Surprising for New Mexico, they have shade. Our site was wide with shrubs between sites that added privacy. I did not visit the bathrooms and did not try OTA television. This park is an excellent value at the Passport America rate. We would stay here again. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

Good sites with good shade considering the desert environment. Utilities were good although the water pressure could vary. Manager and work campers are nice and conscientious about keeping the park in very good condition. Wifi was troublesome. It was on and off at our site although the community building could be used in a pinch. This is an excellent base camp for natural and historic sites. Four wildlife refuges within a reasonable drive, Salinas Mission sites about an hour, and you can get the train in Belen for a trip to Albuquerque or Santa Fe. I-25 follows the Rio Grande River as did El Camino Real the historic Spanish road.

Signage in an out of the community building advocates a pro-firearms agenda. We saw no one carrying a firearm, however, in our month at Kiva.

The rate shown is daily based on monthly rate. Electricity was $90 for the month that had daily highs in the upper 90s. Our unit ran 6-8 hours per day. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Travel Trailer.

Shopping, including fuel, are in Belen, 15 miles north, and Socorro, 25 miles south. Both towns have Walmart and local grocery. Las Lunas, north of Belen, has most "chain" businesses. Restaurants favor New Mexican cooking and do offer items other than GREEN CHILI CHEESEBURGERS.

You must pay by cash or check. No-alcohol policy. They don't allow use of your washer/dryer and must use their laundry. Site was large and level, all gravel. Don't expect high water pressure. Easy access to I-25 and ask for a spot up front as the I-25 is noisy. Must go 17 plus miles for fuel, grocery, and sites of interest. Good overnight stay. As a small park, it is not beneficial for us to offer credit/debit card services. Our No Alcohol Policy applies to our clubhouse. Customers are welcome to have their alcohol consumed at their rigs/sites. As for laundry, we are on a septic system, not a sewer system, and that is why we do not allow customers to use their own laundry systems in their rigs.

Being 12 minutes out of town does offer the peace and quiet for a relaxing evening after driving all day on the interstate. We do hope that you will stay with us again in the future should you find yourself in our area.

We paid $22 with AAA. Passport America would have been $14. All sites are full hook ups. Numerous permanent residents but their rigs were neat and in good condition. Park is next to I-25 but the noise didn't bother us with a fan running. Nice clean park with long level pull-through sites.

Very large bathroom. Women's bathroom had one large shower and men's had two smaller ones. Shower heads were a bit low but plenty of hot water. Paper towels and a portable heater in the bathrooms.

A good spot for an overnight stop. We will stay here again. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Travel Trailer.
