This park is right in the center of the town and there were 3 trailers parked just off the road outside the fence so it was a little difficult seeing the entrance. However, it was easy enough to enter once we saw it. (They were parked there so there so the people could go to the cafe next door.) We did not have to swing wide like another reviewer had to. There are really no interior roads. There is just the entrance road with a turn around at the end. We were assigned to site #2 which is very close to the main road. Sites for overnighters are very close but we were the only ones there so it wasn't a problem. There were a lot of motorcyclists traveling through town during the day and they were a bit noisy but it quietened down at night so we had no trouble sleeping even with the windows open. We would stay here again if we ever come this way. We camped at Mama Bear RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We came to visit the historic town of Lincoln and definitely recommend it if you like the history of the old west. Fort Stanton was also interesting. We did not get down to Ruidoso but understand it's a nice place to visit. The little cafe next door is good, not great, but good. There are a couple of other restaurants down the road.

Right in Capitan, this park is tiny. There are about 10 spaces. If it was full it would be tight. Great WI-FI signal. Owner is very nice. We only overnighted but would come here again. The whole town is in walking distance. No cable but several stations on antenna. We camped at Mama Bear RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean and quiet. We were in space one which is nearest the highway and traffic noise was minimal. Management was excellent to work with, allowing us to select our own site. WI-FI was available and worked well. Very close to Lincoln, Fort Stanton, and Ruidoso Downs. Smokey Bear State Park is just across the street making it a very short walk. We camped at Mama Bear RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small all gravel park right in the center of Capitan. There are a few "permanent" residents. We would not have chosen this park had it not been late in the day. I rated it a 4 because it was over-priced for what you get. We camped at Mama Bear RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is located in town directly next to Smokey Bear Historical Park and is close to Lincoln, Fort Stanton and Ruidoso. We're traveling in a 40' motorhome with car in tow. The entrance is a tight right turn from the east but we used part of the westbound lane and got in easily. The entire lot is gravel, so there's plenty of room to maneuver into sites. Most sites are full hookup with 50 amp. Water and electric worked well. I noticed a voltage drop under heavy load, but never less than 116 volts. There is one bath house for all. It was clean and the water was warm with good pressure. Verizon aircard worked well. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We definitely like this park. We camped at Mama Bear RV Park in a Motorhome.

Only park in town. Next to Smokey Bear State Monument and Museum. Right in town near shops, grocery and several restaurants within walking distance. Had a very shady long back-in site with full hookups. Pull-thru sites available in center of park without shade. Convenient to Lincoln State Monument and Ft. Stanton. Friendly owners. We camped at Mama Bear RV Park in a Motorhome.
