This park is out in the country with cows and horses all around. They have free range chickens and give out free eggs. There are a lot of guests who come and stay for the summer. There is also the owner's dog who roams the grounds. The sites are well spaced and fairly level. The electric was good and the other utilities were set conveniently. Don't know about the address as we could not locate it with the GPS. The one road that went around the park was rough and wet in the back so we did drive back there and you could not take a trailer on it. The restroom was closed and I did not see a laundry. There was a club house that was locked and I don't know who opens it for guests to use. There is BLM land out in the back to walk the dogs. They charge $25 per night or $125 for the week. We camped at Pinon Hills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Very close to Smokey Bear Historical Site, Lincoln, Fort Sumner, and Valley of Fires Recreation Site. Small grocery store in Capitan but the closest big town would be Ridosio.

This is a pretty basic park with widely spaced pads spread across a meadow. All of the basics are here with good 50 amp power, good water pressure, and working sewer. WiFi is surprisingly good for such a small park. The owners live on site and are very friendly and relaxed. They told me to choose a spot and they'd come and see me later. When I spoke with the lady who runs the place she suggested that I stay however long I wanted and then settle up when I was ready to leave. We arrived planning on a three nights and stayed a week. She charged me the lower weekly rate without question. There are free-range chickens roaming the park, and the park owner gave us a dozen free eggs! We camped at Pinon Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stumbled onto this park after looking for and finding another one in town that was dismal. We backtracked the three miles west and had our doubts when we pulled in. The sites here are located throughout an open meadow. Spaces are gravel but relatively level. As undeveloped as it appears, electrical, water and sewer are very reliable. And the Internet is great -- very strong even at the back end of the park. We chose a spot (yes, if they aren't busy you can choose) adjoining an open space that goes on forever. It is totally silent here at night and the owners are very friendly and relaxed. It is very low key this time of year but the owner says it fills up in high season. One note that is not in the park owner's control is the wind. It is windy here this time of year. No place we have seen has much shelter from the wind but it really howls through here. Other than that, we really like this spot and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Pinon Hills RV Park in a Truck Camper.
