This is a very nice park. Wide, easy to access interior roads. Wide, long sites (tow vehicle fits in fine). Customer service is outstanding! We've not eaten in their cafe, but others rave about it. This is north of Carlsbad, so if you're driving to the Caverns or Guadalupe NP, you'll drive several miles south, but this park is worth the stay. Cable TV was a little wonky and didn't work for us. They do give you instructions, but we could never make it work, so we just used our antenna and got great reception. WiFi wasn't the best at our site, but worked in the office/cafe area. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Hwy. 285. We stop in Carlsbad then drive through Pecos/Fort Stockton. AMAZED at all the oil/gas traffic on 285. For the next 100 miles thru Pecos, THOUSANDS of big trucks hauling every imaginable piece of equipment, machinery, etc. Some line-ups were 20+ trucks, then all the passenger trucks you can imagine. All going at various rates of speed (higher % driving EXTREMELY fast!).

This is a very large RV Park including each site (very large). Each site is a pull-thru with full hook up utilities. The park also has a very nice area for Tent campers (very impressive ). The Wifi in the park is very slow which is typical of must RV Parks, however the Wifi in the community center works great. The laundry room is one of the nicest that I have seen in all of my travels. This is a very nice RV Park. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Motorhome.

Large sites, very quiet camping, helpful staff, immaculate rest rooms and showers. The only negative is that rv park is about 13 miles north of town of Carlsbad. It is quiet, but somewhat inconvenient. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice park and nice people running it. But, they really should warn incoming guests about life beside a grove. We awoke at 2:00 a.m. to the most awful cannon booms that continued for an hour. We spent that hour thinking there was a storm warning and very worried we were going to be blown away. Come to find out the next morning we were told that this is how the grove owner's try to redirect an incoming storm!! While we were there they had no a/c in their bath/shower area, which was the only reason we stopped. Won't go back, since we enjoy sleeping at night! Don't stay if they are expecting any rain in the area! We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed 2 nights while visiting Carlsbad Caverns. Huge gravel sites. We were right next to the pool, which the kids appreciated. Even being right there, kid noise was not noticeable. Clean laundry room. Good game room. Kind of sharp exit from the highway, but manageable. Hosts were very nice. Would stay here again. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean park with nice large sites. There are several choices--from no patio to large patio. Price varies with site chosen. Very friendly staff. Meals, sandwiches, etc. can be ordered in the office to be delivered to your site. Very nice after a day of travel or sight-seeing. This RV park is located several miles from town so makes a bit of a drive for sight-seeing or shopping. Being out of town makes this a very quiet relaxing place to be. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Motorhome.

Excellent KOA. One of the nicest we have stayed at. Sites are not too cramped, relatively spacious for a KOA. Small pool for the kids and kid activities on Friday night. On-site diner with pick-up or delivery. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. About 45 minute drive to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. No problems with water, sewer, electric or cable TV. Can be hot in summer. Was 105 the day we went to the caverns (57 in caverns). Would highly recommend this KOA to anyone staying in the Carlsbad area. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful park in the middle of the desert. Clean, lots of space between sites. Good long pull through and level sites. Our only issue was that the WIFI signal did not reach our site and we were paying for their premium deluxe site. Friendly and helpful staff. This park while it says is in Carlsbad is actually about 18 miles north of Carlsbad. So if you are thinking of visiting Carlsbad Caverns which is about 30 miles south of the city you are in for a 50 minute drive each way. Still we would stay here again even with the long drive because the RV parks which are closer to the Caverns just don't compare by a long shot. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Motorhome.

A bit far from Carlsbad Caverns. 50 minutes each way. Given the distance plan an afternoon tour of the Caverns then stay to see the bat flight at sunset, then settle in for a nice long drive back to your RV

This is a pretty nice little KOA. All KOA's are mostly the same, this is no different than the typical ones. The spaces are a little closer and very little to no privacy but - at least in my experience - KOA's are super clean and the staff are always nice. This is in the middle of nowhere, 20 minutes from town and an hour from Carlsbad Caverns - and this suited us just fine. There is a great desert area to explore, we rode our mountain bikes about 15 miles behind KOA and had a blast when we weren't off checking out town or the Caverns. Bathrooms are super clean the showers are, quite frankly, AWESOME. I think the price is WAY high for such a location but it is what it is - RV'ing is getting so popular the rates are skyrocketing everywhere. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Came here in a 42' 5th wheel and will come again if in the area. All spots are pull-thru's with gravel and FHU. Plenty of room from your neighbor and could stay hooked up to my truck if I wanted too. Nice little store and the facility's were clean and up to date. Could get a little dusty if windy, as the park is mostly made up of gravel. The only bad part of the park is it's located 20 miles North of Town and the wi-fi did not work well at your site. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Price is for Premium Patio Site (shaded paved patio w picnic table & porch swing). Best RV park we saw in Carlsbad area. N of the town of Carlsbad. Worth the short drive to town. Great BBQ delivered to site! Friendly staff. Good size sites, level, gravel pads w grass between sites, smaller trees, great cable TV, WiFi slow when park is busy. Very clean showers/rest rooms, laundry, small clean pool. Nice smaller store and gift shop, rec. room w quad ping-pong, foos-ball, big salt-water fish-tank, big TV and seating for dinner crowd. Propane available, coin-op vacuum for vehicles, nice desert garden on grounds. Basketball, tetherball, volleyball, horse-shoe areas. Quiet, set back from highway and very nice for being in the desert. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a large, very professionally managed RV park. Lots of people, lots of RVs. Open, flat and exposed to the elements, including sometimes noxious propane smells from nearby oil rigs. Services are, however, very good. Propane, tire air, lots of waste facilities, lots of local information and history, nice shop even a bbq restaurant delivery service. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Carlsbad Caverns are a must, truly one of the great natural wonders of the world. Very well run, but with massive crowds. Think Disneyland. We just showed up, and it was fine, except for the 45 minute wait on the road to park and the 2 hour wait to catch the elevator ride back up. Note: this wait can exceed 3 hours. However, the KOA is on the opposite side of the town of Carlsbad from the Caverns. That said, it is very obvious that the KOA is far, far superior to the other RV parks in the area.

Park is very nice, large pull through, gravel pads and level. Big grassy areas between sires. Two very large, clean grassy dog runs, good fencing on those, doggy toys and people benches. The have BBQ every night that they'll deliver to your site or you can eat in the big community room or outside on nice days. Good food, a little spendy for what you get. Don't get chicken nuggets, preformed yuck Laundromat and showers are beautiful, spotless and open 24 hours. I would have given it a 10 but there's NO Internet anywhere but the office and the dumpsters are a real hike all the way back to the entrance. People are really nice, especially the owners and their doggies. Park is 1/4 miles off the road and very quiet. We would stay here again. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
