Stayed here after visiting Carlsbad Caverns. Just a short drive from the National Park with easy access. Roads and sites are gravel and level. Older park but well maintained. Very quiet at night with little road noise. But...some of the residents are workers who leave a 5am in their large trucks. Friendly staff made for a welcoming atmosphere. Would stay here again. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Closest park to the Caverns. Older park. Sites and road are gravel. Somewhat dusty, it is NM. We had some shade on our site, not all sites have shade. Could not get wifi on our two day stay, even though we mentioned it to the front desk on several occasions. Had a nice picnic table on our site. Lots of permanent residents, look like oilfield workers, so some traffic early in the morning. Covered pool was OK, clean. Showers and restrooms were clean, but old and could use some TLC. Had a convenient dump station, with flush water, near the office, as we had a site with only 30 amp and water service. Overall satisfied. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Temperature rose to 106 F while we were there. Try to get a site with some shade. We have. Small AC and it was barely able to keep up.

We picked this park as it was generally close to the Caverns, and Wal-Mart (shopping). Staff is very friendly and accommodating helping to find us a space in a full park when we had to change our reservation. The park is quiet, sites very clean (gravel), and hook-ups easy to connect to with threaded sewer drains. Water pressure is strong and a regulator is a must. It gets a little cramped when full, as pull-throughs are long and get doubled-up end-to-end. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Located on the South Side of Carlsbad this old KOA campground has about 20 to 30% long term residents. It's a gravel parking lot with grass around the perimeter. WiFi crashes about every hour, but a strong signal even at the back of the CG when it works. Indoor pool, horse shoe pits, playground and two dog exercise areas. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Here for 3 days to see the caverns. Staff very friendly. Led us to our site, G4b. We were nose to butt on this long site. Didn't use their WiFi or cable. Grounds are gravel with a few trees and some grass in the one dog park we used. Because this part of the US is so dry and windy don't expect to keep your rig clean. We would stay here again. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Most sites are pull-through on gravel. Full hook-ups including cable TV. A few trees. Management leads you to your site which is appreciated. They have an organized library of DVD movies that you can rent for free. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park, gravel lots and roads. Lots were level. Well maintained. Owners helpful. Would stay again. Only negatives were few trees for shade, close packed, and a bit of road noise. Seemed pricey but near Carlsbad Caverns, so to be expected. This was the nicest park we saw in the area. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Carlsbad Caverns is a must see. A true wonder of nature. Sitting Bull Falls was not worth the drive to get there. The Living Desert and Zoo was interesting.

Our first choice for this area was full, but this was an adequate second choice. Main advantage was proximity to Carlsbad Caverns N.P. We arrived very late, but the staff had good check-in information at the site, and had even followed up shortly before their closing time to make sure we were still coming. Overall, typical of a commercial RV park - open, few trees, sites close together. Only a few washing machines and dryers. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Appears to be a former KOA campground and they even escort you to your site. Appeared clean and tidy in public areas. Our site had a dozen cigarette butts on the gravel pad. Wifi was decent but then campground appeared only 40 % occupied. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed on Nov.4th. The first site had holes dug everywhere, big rocks covering holes to trip on. It was so unlevel our jacks wouldn't go down any more. We went back and looked at some decent sites, they "upgraded us" to a flat garden spot. It had been raining,so we went to the pool. They had a code door lock password we received. But we had to go to the office to have someone come to unlock another lock on the door. When at the office they told us no one had come in to work today to check the pool chemicals,so we couldn't use it. We told her that wasn't going to work, we paid for the use and get someone there to do take care of it. The staff person at the desk then started yelling that she was all alone and couldn't leave, my husband said you have a phone, please call someone now. She continued to raise her voice, that we were going to have to come back, when she finally called, someone came immediately. So all of the screaming she did was for nothing. All other times we came in there was 4 people at the desk.

The pool was warm as advertised, The walls were sprayed with a coating that started to rust everywhere, layers of dirt and dead spiders on the shelf of the walls. The pool wasn't cleaned, as the gravel was on the bottom. Good Sam is not doing a good job of checking these places out better. It needed lots of t.l.c. and better emotionally equipped staff. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Not the fanciest campground but my camper is self-contained so I loved it! The location is excellent...right at the entry road to the Carlsbad Caverns! I didn't even peek into the bathrooms so I can't help with that. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

not much on landscaping or looks... checked in and were told about the pool, but within 30 minutes (and at 4:30 in the afternoon) it was locked and we couldn't use it after getting the grandkids all excited and ready for swimming (so the question is: WHY did she tell us about the pool and location but not tell us that it wasn't going to be open?

noisy location- but not much else available--

just ok as a place to stay before sightseeing. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
