This is an old KOA, composed of gravel and dirt, with a few trees and average-sized spaces. On the plus side, it's convenient to Carlsbad Caverns and the town of Carlsbad, has a friendly staff, and even gives a packet of product samples and coupons on check-in. But it is dusty, and is beginning to show it's age. Without the Passport America discount this park would be way overpriced, but the PA rate of $22 ($3.00 extra for 50A) makes it a reasonable place to stay. There aren't a lot of choices here; with Passport America this is probably your best bet. We'd stay here again. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

The Park is fairly close to the Carlsbad Caverns, maybe the closest for PA members. All dirt roads, including the sites. It's a bit dusty, but there are some trees on the plus side. Very friendly and helpful staff. We booked two nights and got a DVD rental voucher. A place where we would stay again. The rate is for PA members. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was an old KOA. It has seen better days but it is clean, safe and reasonably priced. The sites are small but they are all pull thru and easy to get into. It is also convenient to the caverns and to town. It has a nice rec room, lots of DVD's, and a pool. The staff is good. I have stayed there before and I would stay there again. There also is a nice playground. There is an RV repair place right next to the campground. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here 2 days. Friendly people. Lots of TV channels (72). Close to Caverns (16 miles south) close to town 4 miles north, stores. Some dust. Would stay here again. Wi-Fi weak but worked. Kid friendly. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Great park for kids because of animal petting area, indoor pool and game room. Nice store, mini museum and computer with internet available at no charge. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very clean and very welcoming park. Even received product samples when we arrived! Desk staff were very professional and friendly. Convenient for going north to Roswell and south to Carlsbad Caverns. This park actually had some trees! Would definitely camp here again if we were in the area. Rate is PA and including taxes. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is showing signs of aging and disrepair. The price however reflects a higher quality park. I guess they are using the Cavern visitors as a means of support. A number of full-time residents inhabit the facility. The laundry facility was "clean" but felt unkempt. The sites are all dirt and difficult to ascertain the markings. The staff was less than friendly. I will not stay here again. Nor will I recommend this to others. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Older park but well maintained. Friendly accommodating staff. We asked to change site as the one they assigned had no picnic table and was surrounded on three sides by access roads. All sites are average size and pull- through. Good Internet and Cable TV. Indoor pool is undergoing major repairs. Picnic tables are scarce. 30 minutes to Carlsbad Caverns and 10 minutes to downtown Carlsbad (Super Wal-Mart). Would stay here again. Rate reflects Passport America. Stayed here because it was the closest RV park to Carlsbad and Guadalupe National Park with the exception of White's City which is a minimal RV park. Number of oil patch workers living in the park, but they were not a problem. Friendly staff. Campground is clean and seems to be well run. Mostly dirt and gravel. Some sites have trees and a little grass. They have a large fenced dog yard which is a plus. Wi-fi was not stable. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Nothing fancy, but it was clean and the folks were nice, especially the lady at the registration desk. It is dusty, but so are most other places in this area. Would stay here again! We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location for visiting the area. Pull thru sites were short but wide enough to side park the truck. Rate reflects PPA rate. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park near the caverns and the town of Carlsbad. The staff was great and the kids absolutely loved the clean, indoor pool. The lot was plenty big. Lots of gravel, not too much shade or grass. Wi-Fi signal was good, cable was an "extra." We'd stay here again. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Large and spacious sites - Wi-Fi offered on four separate channels, and reception was excellent. The park is a couple of miles southwest of the town, and is on the way toward Carlsbad Caverns. Office staff is very friendly and lots of tourist information is available at the desk. We were happy with the park. The only complaint is that there is a lot of dust flying, and that's no fault of the management. It IS the desert, after all, and it is probably that way everywhere. We would stay here again. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

The check-in was the start of this unfortunate experience. We were quoted a price when we called plus we have the Good Sam’s card and would receive a discount. The total bill came to $37.82 with the discount . However, the price list on the outside check-in menu was what we were charged without a discount. As stated earlier by another camper the staff can’t do math or just over charge their guest. We thought we found our spot only to find out we missed it by one spot due to poor marking of the spaces. We were in a “extra large” space, but we found it very short and narrow. However, it was larger than some of the others. Folks, this is desert camping, and the aisles should be wide, and the space spread out. The lack of trees and abundance of dust and gravel didn’t bother us. The wi-fi was good as was the cable, good channel selection. The dog walk had a few stickers in it, and the dogs got a paw full of stickers; so sad for their little feet. When we got back from the caverns I was called down for driving too fast, and I was. Also I was told not to drive through his sites; again the sights are so poorly marked it’s hard to tell where they are. They also have signs posted in the area, and I quote, “Slow your ass down.” Not funny. Anyway we were getting ready to leave at 12:00 noon, which is the posted checkout time. We had dumped and un-hooked, jacks were up and the motor was running when the office called wanting to know when we planned to leave. This call came in at 12.00.01. When we checked in we talked about out tight time frame and were told that it would not be a problem. I feel this campground is a good place to avoid. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our stay in Carlsbad. The park staff were very friendly and helpful. There is very easy access to sites. All sites are level and those that cater to slides were very wide. There is not a blade of grass around the sites - just gravel, however there is plenty of grass around the play areas and tent areas. We would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
