Located on the South Side of Carlsbad this old KOA campground has about 20 to 30% long term residents. It's a gravel parking lot with grass around the perimeter. WiFi crashes about every hour, but a strong signal even at the back of the CG when it works. Indoor pool, horse shoe pits, playground and two dog exercise areas. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Appears to be a former KOA campground and they even escort you to your site. Appeared clean and tidy in public areas. Our site had a dozen cigarette butts on the gravel pad. Wifi was decent but then campground appeared only 40 % occupied. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park and close to the caverns. Friendly staff and campground clean. Price was way too expensive though. Sites were well maintained and level. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

If you are looking for convenience to Carlsbad Caverns or a quick stop along the way, this is a great park. If you are looking for a place to stay for a while, there are probably prettier and more interesting places. The sites are ample in space and well maintained. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The whole park is gravel which makes it dusty and loud. Plus, no wifi, even though they advertise it. Not available in the G row, "out of area" is the phrase my phone gave. Not very helpful in the office, "We don't guarantee wifi". Hmmm???? We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a good place to stay while visiting Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks. It was further than a campground in White's City, but after driving through that campground we were glad we choose to drive the extra distance. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here in a fifth wheel for one night. We did use the showers and bathroom both were clean but old. We used the pool since it is indoor and was very comfortable after a long day of traveling. The camp hosts were very friendly and led us right to our spot. We asked for a long pull through since we were only staying one night. The camp host warned us they have high water pressure and recommended we use a water regulator. We did not use the cable or internet so I can't tell you how they were. We would stay here again but not for a lengthy visit as it is pretty dusty because of the gravel roads and sites. Our site was level. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is an old KOA. Gravel loads and sites. The park is clean and the staff is accommodating. Definitely a place to stop for a few days, but sure would like the sites for the larger rigs to have some trees. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older park and the bathrooms were old, but clean. The sites were level and the hook ups centrally located. The cable worked great with several channels. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I was THRILLED when we arrived at this campground after reading all the reviews. We were over joyed to be welcomed, escorted to our amazing big site, dog park, great staff, clean campground! If we're ever back in this area we will be back for a longer visit! We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We were charged the full amount before we got there. They explained that's their policy. Never in 2 yrs full time, we never were charged until check in. The manager came over didn't apologize but gave us a free night at the higher rate.

The campground itself is nothing to write home about. There's permanents and workers here. They keep the pull throughs for the short term. But the sites are nose to back. Right now, we have no one behind us. Other people said, the site is close by, no real shade. On gravel with a picnic table with pavers. Dog park, a playground (sad), indoor pool, laundry(didn't use) and bath house (didn't use). Won't return. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Near Carlsbad Caverns and hour from Guadeloupe National Park. Also about 1.5hr from Roswell. There's a Walmart close by, Albertson's.

They may have 140 sites, but only about 10 are available. The rest are oil field workers. We were forced to pay the 50 amp price when we only needed 30 amps. Fairly noisy at 5:30 in the morning with all the diesel trucks leaving for work. Don't bother staying here. There is a very nice CG right by the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has just about anything you could want at a campground, but it is overpriced for just a one night stop. After being told on the phone that they would honor the Passport America price, when we got there we were told that they hadn't been accepting it for over two years now (even though we had stayed there 9 months ago under the PA discount), and they gave us only a 10% general discount. Check in took over half an hour, neither gentleman in the store was familiar with the procedure, and we were told they would bring us a receipt later on, as they didn't know how to produce one. Never got it. As I said, there is absolutely everything here, if you are going to be here long enough to use it. But for a quick overnight, while on the road, it was quite overpriced. I only rated it an 8 due to the check-in process and the fact that the spaces are very close together. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We chose this park partly because of their reviews but mostly because of their location. They are situated approximately 16 miles to Carlsbad Caverns NP and a little farther (on the same road) to Guadalupe Mountains NP. It's hard to beat this location if you are sightseeing in this area. When you enter the park, you see some very small, cramped sites in the first two rows (occupied perhaps by long term guests?). But then as you drive to the back part of the park, the sites become much larger and are more spacious. We were pleasantly surprised. The office staff was pleasant and the park was clean and appeared to be well maintained. We don't travel with children so we don't look for swimming pools, miniature golf courses or McDonald's playgrounds. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
