Exceptional customer service. They went above and beyond anything we have ever seen to make this the best RV campground experience. Restrooms and showers were clean. Lots offered some shade. Site surface is gravel and featured a picnic table. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Be sure and take the Cumbres Toltec Scenic train ride. The fishing was excellent: get a site on the river.

If you like to fish, this is an amazing place. Our site backed up to the Chama River, and people were catching fish as soon as the fly hit the water. A large buck and doe meander thru the park daily. There are hummingbirds everywhere. The gravel roads are wide enough to navigate, and the gravel sites are long, but very close together. The sites along the river are made for Class A pull-ins, so all the hook-ups are on the wrong side for 5th wheels and trailers. We backed in our 5th wheel, and had to borrow an extension power cord. The sewer hose barely made it. But, it's a beautiful site, and the town of Chama is very quaint. The dog run areas are nice, and there's a huge grass field adjacent to the runs that dogs love. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The park has back in and pull through sites with some sites next to the Rio Chama river. It's conveniently located to downtown Chama and and the Cumbres Toltec railroad. The owners are on site and go out of their way to to keep the park, restrooms and laundry clean and we'll maintained. We had a very level site. This was our second time to stay here and plan to return. We especially want to thank the owners for making sure we had an enjoyable stay. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Truck Camper.

This stop was the last leg of a long trip before we go home. We were pleasantly surprised. A very relaxing experience. We could fish the river just by walking a few feet from our motorhome. A number of lakes in the area. A narrow gauge train travels through the beautiful mountain scenery. This park is the perfect home base to see the area. Owners and staff great. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice small park, very clean. There are several spots along the river. Some people fished while there. The owner was very helpful and went above and beyond to help make short 3 night stay stay enjoyable. We came to ride the train, just a short two mile drive to the train. We would definitely stay here again. Our site was in the middle area, all gravel, plenty of room. Some sites are open with no trees others in very wooded area, very nice. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a week. Very clean and the owner was so helpful in getting us into our spot. Lots of shade and park was so clean. Restrooms/showers were spotless. The owners were so helpful when we were setting up our trip and gave us great tips on riding the train. Would definitely stay there again! We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little park in a beautiful area of New Mexico. Staff very friendly and helpful. We parked in what appeared on the map, to be the easiest pull through (SP 27) and in fact, it was. It was a bit exposed on one side, but people drove slowly and it did not bother us. We were able to request the spot, so could not really complain, but would probably pick another next time. The back ins near the river are quite lovely, but since they are under trees there might be a difficulty with satellite. No cable and we did not use the wifi. You can rent a fire ring for a fire, if you wish. There is an excellent enclosed dog park and a large field where we were able to run our border collie/australian shepard mix. Agree with a prior review that states the park comes up quickly when entering from the northeast. It is easy to miss it. We were there for 8 days. We would stay here again. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Chama is a cute little town. There is a narrow gauge train there. East is the town of Antonito, Co which has an interesting "palace" made out of found objects. South is the Ghost Ranch ( Georgia OKeefe), the town of Abiqui and the Echo Amphitheater. We enjoyed seeing all the sights.

I was given a gravel pull-thru site with FHU (36) for my 42' 5th wheel. Plenty of room on this site. Had a picnic table, but no cable TV. I was able to use my dish, even though there are plenty of trees around. I had to unhook my truck and there was plenty of room to park it next to the RV. The office has many books and DVD's to rent or buy if you wish. As you get close to the park, slow down if your coming from the south as the entrance comes up fast. Park is clean and the facilities are nice and kept up. Would stop here again. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

When we made our reservation, the person who took it didn't ask for a security deposit. "We trust you'll come". Wow - nice. Also asked for a river site, but they were full. "Don't worry, we'll put you on the list in case someone cancels." Sure enough, site #8 (best IMO) was available, a nice pull in right on the river. Fishermen as young as 5 pulling rainbow trout what seemed like every cast! Good dog run, but expansive grounds near park made walking the dog easy. Gravel sites, ours was level and dry despite recent rains. Fall colors a bonus! We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

We first stayed at Sky Mountain in 2014. This stay was no different from the first; simply perfect. Very clean, quiet, well run facility with friendly and helpful owners. About the only down side was that my AT&T wasn't as good as the Verizon folks. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is located on the banks of the Chama River, south of town. There both open sky and tree covered areas. Utilities and sites are both very good. Rate reflects a monthly stay, electric included.

The owners are just superb, and willing to help with any needs. He is the best escort/back in man we have encountered in our travels.

The sky is open enough for dish in the pull thru section.

It is very quiet in this park and dark night sky. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lucked out with a back-in next to river for our one night stay. Some sites are well-protected in the trees and some others a bit crowded. We have stayed here several times and find it the best place in Chama to park for a day or more for visiting the area. A great open field is available for your dog to run as long as they are well behaved and will heed your commands. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here over the Memorial Day week-end. It is 400 miles from our home, but it is always nice to be in the Chama, NM area. The sites are level, big and shady. We spent a lot of time under the trees. There was a rowdy bunch around us...no knowledge about camping etiquette, but there isn't much you can do about that. We stayed through Memorial Day so most all the campers had gone by then. The grounds are immaculate as are the restrooms. Again, we enjoyed our visit. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
