We stayed here 4 nights and it was great. The management were great and friendly. They even offered towalk our dogs while we road the Cumbres % Toltec Secnic Railroad. We parked next to the river, lots of shade. Part of the park was very open gravel and part is shadded. We will stay here again if we come back to this area. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here over the 4th of July. Chama has a one hour long fireworks show you won't believe! The treed sites are somewhat larger and nicer, but overall, the park was real nice. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Owner is Very helpful and great at getting rigs parked. I observed him directing several back ins and he nailed it every time. The site was entirely gravel but was level. Utilities worked very well. Wifi was not strong all the time but ok the brief time or 2 I used it. We did use the laundry facility and it was extremely clean. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ride the train for sure. Chama is ok but limited in dining and shopping options. The drive up to Pagosa Springs is nice and scenic with more dining and shopping available.

This is a very nice RV park though the site we stayed at was very close to our neighbors. I would not stay in the same site again and would request a site with more space or I would find another RV park. The Wifi was terrible and they warn you if you "over use it" they will cut off your access. No exercise or walking trails so if you are trying to stay fit during your stay this is not a good park to stay. I would stay here again but no more than 3 nights. Once again we spent Memorial Day week-end at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park. We had a great stay. The staff and owners are always there if there is a problem and continue to run a first rate park. Will always come back every chance I get. Fires in the fire pit wasn't allowed due to a ban on fires, but it was not a big disappoint not to be able to have one. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent facility, we will come back again. The entire facility was really clean, the grounds, restrooms, showers, and common areas. The owners are on site and very helpful and involved in everyday operations. The owner escorted us to our site and helped me back in. The other folks working were very friendly and nice. We had a river site #1 which was worth the money. It was very clean, level, and easy access. Our site was a pull in site, thus utilities were on the wrong side for our back in trailer. We have a power extension cord and borrowed the sewer dump for site 2 before we left. They have a dump station on site as well, it needed. A 10' water hose worked ok for us. Don't let this concern you, it wasn't an issue. The owner offered to loan us a power cord or extension hose if we didn't have one. The site was worth the couple extra minutes to hook up. The Rio Chama is stocked and other campers caught fish everyday. Heated floors in the showers were really nice and prevents floors from being wet all the time and/or slippery. The dog park was nice. This was our first trip this year and the bar has been set really high for future RV parks. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful property on the river. We were lucky enough to get a spot on the river and we watched other campers catch trout each day. Very friendly owner, very quiet, level spot, very clean, lots of trees, a dog run - what more could you want? We loved it and will return. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Well managed; clean park. Owners are very friendly. Some spaces are in the open and some in shade. A small section at the rear has back-in sites with a view of the river. Placement of the utilities for those sites is suited best to motorhomes, although we saw fifth wheels there. We camped in our fifth wheel on an open site which was adequately sized and level. Sites are gravel and have a picnic table. Nice areas for dog walking. Saw mule deer in park while we were there. Not sure why it's called a "resort", but it's a nice park and we recommend it if you are in the area. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Located on the banks of the Chama River, this is a well run, friendly and beautiful park. Our site was a pull thru in the open section with excellent utilities and an open sky for dish. Other parts of the park are in the trees and several overlook the river. Many people return each year and this is a very friendly park. The park hosts pancake breakfasts, pot lucks and evening music under the stars. Wifi is OK, but not much bandwidth is available in this small, rural mountain town. Most evenings, deer wander thru the park and this year, bears were sighted as well and late season elk could be heard bugling at night. The owners are just the best, we have not found better in all of our travels! We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ride the train! Just a great day chugging thru the beautiful mountains of NM and CO. Good meals at Finas (breakfast burrito), ElkHorn Cafe, Boxcar and High Country. There is a well stocked grocery/ hardware store and auto parts and fuel. Closest Walmarts are in Espanola, Alamosa and Pagosa Springs. There is an excellent medical clinic in Tierra Amarillo.

The park has back in and pull through sites with some sites next to the Rio Chama river. It's conveniently located to downtown Chama and and the Cumbres Toltec railroad. The owners are on site and go out of their way to to keep the park, restrooms and laundry clean and we'll maintained. We had a very level site. This was our second time to stay here and plan to return. We especially want to thank the owners for making sure we had an enjoyable stay. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Truck Camper.

If you like to fish, this is an amazing place. Our site backed up to the Chama River, and people were catching fish as soon as the fly hit the water. A large buck and doe meander thru the park daily. There are hummingbirds everywhere. The gravel roads are wide enough to navigate, and the gravel sites are long, but very close together. The sites along the river are made for Class A pull-ins, so all the hook-ups are on the wrong side for 5th wheels and trailers. We backed in our 5th wheel, and had to borrow an extension power cord. The sewer hose barely made it. But, it's a beautiful site, and the town of Chama is very quaint. The dog run areas are nice, and there's a huge grass field adjacent to the runs that dogs love. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little park in a beautiful area of New Mexico. Staff very friendly and helpful. We parked in what appeared on the map, to be the easiest pull through (SP 27) and in fact, it was. It was a bit exposed on one side, but people drove slowly and it did not bother us. We were able to request the spot, so could not really complain, but would probably pick another next time. The back ins near the river are quite lovely, but since they are under trees there might be a difficulty with satellite. No cable and we did not use the wifi. You can rent a fire ring for a fire, if you wish. There is an excellent enclosed dog park and a large field where we were able to run our border collie/australian shepard mix. Agree with a prior review that states the park comes up quickly when entering from the northeast. It is easy to miss it. We were there for 8 days. We would stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

Chama is a cute little town. There is a narrow gauge train there. East is the town of Antonito, Co which has an interesting "palace" made out of found objects. South is the Ghost Ranch ( Georgia OKeefe), the town of Abiqui and the Echo Amphitheater. We enjoyed seeing all the sights.
