This park is 12 miles east of Deming, with the last 2 miles being on washboard dirt road. The park is enclosed by a cattle gate, which you must open & close every time you leave. It's 15-20 minutes from town. The park has wifi that doesn't work well, you can't stream, download, upload, or do much of anything other than gmail. A man the park uses, monitors the very slow wifi, and will either boot or block you without telling you if you attempt to do anything that uses the internet. The laundry room, bathroom, and shower provided for short term people are always clean, and kept clean--with one host doing an excellent job. Verizon works OK out there, and the whole park overall is clean. The owners are nice, but aren't there all the time so you may not meet them depending on when you stay. You pay for your spot AND the electric to it when you leave--not when you arrive, and even one night you have a very small electric bill. Washers $1, dryers the same price. Water pressure is very low. TV reception doesn't stay in even with a booster antenna. A lot of interference. You do have dirt and dust even without the wind because of the washboard road. It's a great place for solitude, but still a long way from town if you need anything. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Park was ok, no issues. But no one stated that the road in is about 10 miles from the freeway and the last mile is on washboard gravel so you have to drive slow to avoid beating your rig to death. Google maps may try to take you down a narrow dirt road so use the campground directions. They only take cash or check. They also keep the entry gate closed and secured so you have to open and close it yourself. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Had a real enjoyable one night stay. Nothing fancy but beautiful sunset and lights on the highway at night. I know weird, but we enjoyed it. Very, very little highway noise. Nice and quiet. Loved all the amenities. No wind or dust while we were there. Nice flat, level pull thru and didn't have to disconnect the tow. Super nice and friendly staff. Will definitely, that's a for sure for sure, go back. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park was a bit hard to get to. Gravel road got the truck & 5th wheel real dirty. Very nice people & good size site in cattle county. They entered the electric, which we paid an extra 2.50 a day for the electric. Will stop here again. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice small park with pull through sites in the outer section; inner section was back in and full time residents. No problem with electric or water quality with FHU; antenna reception was good. No pool or pet area (except outside of the park there is lots of land). This is a no frills park but the people are nice and friendly and it's close to Deming and some state parks. We would stay here again if passing through Deming. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Spring Canyon State Park and Rock Hound State Park. At Rock Hound there is a small museum before going into the park where you can learn a lot about geodes and buy some as souvenirs. Spring Canyon has hiking.

Rate is PA. Electricity is extra, but reasonably priced. Long drive from freeway, but well maintained, clean and quiet. Utilities worked well, including decent speed Wi-Fi. Hard packed gravel roads and sites (level). Nothing special, but very good value for an overnight stay. Would stay again. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you want to skip the 2+ miles of dirt road, from either west or east take Hwy 549 to Hwy 377 which is paved to within 1/2 mile of park. Coming west, it is 15+ miles farther.

Overall Rating:

I'd give this park a much higher rating, but we had to travel over 2 miles on a dirt (in NM, that's DUST!) road to get to it. WiFi is solid, rate is good, and although you do have to pay for your electricity, the rate is only .13 a k/h. It's not far away from I-10, but far enough to be quieter than many others we've been at. Very friendly staff & owner. Gave us a big packet of info on Deming; although, we thought we'd only be one night. Just wish the county roads had been at least oiled! We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

If you are looking for a nice quiet place to spend a few days and relax, El Rancho Lobo is a great choice. We had no cell phones, the Wi-Fi worked just fine and the road that takes you in there is also free range for cattle so we had to pass by a small herd to get to the gate that kept the critters outside. I had to get out and manually open the gate. Our rate was the Passport America rate, which does not include electric charges. The lady who logged us in and out met us outside to read the electric meter and collect the fees for spending the night. An odd place by today's standards but we would definitely stay there again. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rate is Passport America. We always stop here when we travel I10 going to visit our Grand Kids. Yes, it is a bit off the highway and you have to go down some dirt roads, but that is little inconvenience. It's not like your coach has never had dust on it before. The owners are great. They will open the gate, show you to your place, and stop for a while to chat. We have a tow car and the sites are long enough that we don't have to unhook. Very nice after a long day of travel when all you want to see is a nice level spot where you don't have to put down the jacks or unhook the car. Just put it in park and hook up. Good AC, Verizon signal strong. We will be back anytime in the area. Good, clean, quiet, no hassle place to stay. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a small, friendly park, out of the way from the other parks on Pine St in downtown Deming. When we arrived the helpful, friendly camp hosts were waiting for us at the gate and escorted us to our spot. We were given a packet of info of the Deming area, a nice pen, and the password for the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi worked wonderfully the entire time we stayed here. I work as an editor out of our RV so to have reliable internet access was very important. There was a nice picnic table at each site. At first I was disappointed that we were parked in the "short term" pull-through RV sites in the gravel area before the main campground and clubhouse. But I quickly discovered this area was just as nice as it could be with very friendly neighbors (permanent residents). The clubhouse was adequate with TV, videos, and a book exchange. Although we were just off the freeway we could barely hear the traffic or the trains just on the other side of the freeway. Other reviewers have mentioned the 2-1/2 miles of dirt road to get to the campsite. This can be avoided by driving to Deming and coming in from the west. By using this route you only have less than half a mile of dirt road and even on windy days it wasn't a problem. We did have a lot of wind while here, but that's to be expected in March and April. Several days it was so bad we stayed in the RV all day. The park is pet friendly and they let us use the exercise pen for our small dogs. We would be happy to stay here again if in the area. The price reflects a month stay as Passport America members. They also offer Escapee and Happy Camper discounts. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not too bad for the price. Ample room for our 39' RV and truck to park still hooked up. Noise from route 10 but not a deal breaker. Be aware that there is a 2.5 mile gravel road to drive in on. Gets the rig filthy. Very nice staff. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is off the beaten path but very nice. Was greeted by staff and given a welcome package to the area. We were in the short term area but the site was level although out in the wind. WI-FI was very good. Was there for only one night but plan on staying longer the next time out! Not a lot of frills but a great value! We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects Passport America discount. Electric was 12 cents per kwh. This is a small campground with a gravel area on the outskirts of the campground with several level pull-thru, FHU sites with 50 amp service. There was free Wi-Fi, but it was quite slow at times. This place is nothing fancy, but adequate. The bathroom was clean and the camp hosts were friendly. It was quite windy while we were there and very dusty. We would have given this campground a higher rating, but the 2 mile gravel road to get to it makes it lose points. Our truck and camper were filthy with dust by the time we got to the campground. Because of this, we would not camp here again. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The bathroom was very clean. The park was very quiet, very few people were there. The campground hosts were friendly and very helpful (even offered to come and get me if I had trouble finding the place). My only disappointment was that my requested pull-through site was in a gravel parking lot outside the gates of the "main" campground. That was Ok for my overnight, but I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time in that type of setting. I would stay there again. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
