If you like a "laid back " feel, but still a clean, respectful environment, you will really like Faywood. The pools themselves are made with cement, but the water is wonderfully soothing and leaves one's skin smooth and healthy looking. There are both clothing optional pools as well as clothing required pools. Our campsite was comfortable and close to the main pool house. It is #1. The welcoming staff is friendly and relaxed. The RV Park is not really near much, so come prepared with food, etc. We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice for a rural spot in the middle of nowhere :-) Very pretty grounds. Site was reasonably level with full hookups; low water pressure was only negative (very very low). Soaking in hot spring was outstanding experience and thoroughly relaxing. Highly recommended. Not a "fancy" place at all, but we had a very nice stay. We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

I have had the pleasure of staying at Faywood Hot Springs, and am on a month to month site. This is such a unique experience, as the water here is so amazing! The property is a hands on operation, run by the owners. 5 plus stars, and the star gazing is simply amazing! Thank you! We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We camped in site #1, which was level and had some privacy. The person working in the reception area was friendly and welcoming. The soaking tubs and hot springs were wonderful. We would use the term "funkadacious" to describe this park. Wonderful in it's own singular way. The only thing we could hope for is some upgrading of the roads and general fixing up (although there was plenty of fresh paint and cleanliness) to enhance what is already pretty great. We would return. We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Silver City deserves a short visit, but the restaurant called 1zero6 is a must for dinner Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

The main attraction here is the hot springs open to daily visitors and included for overnight guests. Springs are clean and well kept, most of the staff quite nice about strict policies. Some pools are clothing optional, others clothing required, pool temperatures are nicely varied and well regulated. Nice tent sites and RV sites go from good to downright funky, with some clothing optional and all frequented by the population of feral cats. Cabins are also available, no WiFi, but good Verizon signal. The evening pools are filled with great travel suggestions from local patrons with nothing to hide. I've been here several times and will return. We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

As others have noted, the City of Rocks is worth at least a visit, hike or even overnight. The nearby Gila National Forest on Why 152 is one of my favorites.

Overall Rating:

"Hot" pools weren't hot, feral cats very annoying, park layout confusing, the best news was we got a full refund because we didn't stay. Community room was clean and spacious, clerk was friendly and informative, but our expectations were far above what was provided. If you're expecting hot pools in a clean, quiet setting with beautiful views, forget it. This location has a lot of potential, but there's still a lot of work to be done. Layout was confusing, signage essentially non-existent, and the area basically looked "dumpy". We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

This place was so tranquil. We stopped for the night and wished we had more time. The only thing we didn't like about this place was the unpaved roads. The rest was wonderful. We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

This is a review of the campground only. The hot springs are well maintained, clean, and very comfortable. Price includes use of the public and specific park facilities. The RV park is rustic. There were tall weeds, feral cats, and lots of dust. We were charged extra for 1 small dog, but there were unleashed dogs running throughout the park and no one bothered to clean up. Hook ups are standard, we had a pull through which was fairly level. We'd definitely go to the hot springs but probably stay at City of Rocks. We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

Hot springs and a quiet night or two of camping. One cannot go wrong. The clothing optional soak should be clothing mandatory, imho. However, this spot in the desert is worth the drive. We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

The pull thru RV sites are long and easy to get in and out of. The main attraction of this place is the hot springs, which are nice and well maintained. There is no TV or wifi, and cell service can only be obtained on one side of the park, due to a big hill between there and the rest of the park. We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

It is a long drive to the nearest towns (Deming or Silver City), so plan accordingly. City of Rocks is very close and worth a visit.

Overall Rating:

Very interesting and funky park. They are known for their natural hot springs! I believe they have 13 separate pools that range in temperature from 101 - 114 degrees. The people were very friendly. They have a number of camping areas, and some of the hot tubs are clothing optional. As long as you don't mind soaking next to a wrinkly, naked, old person (wait I just described myself); it is a very interesting park. The sites were very basic with dirt and some uneven roads and sites. This is definitely not a KOA but a nice alternative, and I really liked the hot tubs that were all fed from natural hot springs, and the temperature was regulated by the tank system in the park. We rode our bike about 2 miles down the road to check out City of Rocks State park. We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Motorhome.
