Check-in went very smooth. Easy entry and friendly staff. Easy to navigate. We were assigned to site 97. Large pull thru. More than adequate space left n right. WiFi was terrible. Paid extra for cable. Stayed for three nights. Would stay again. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Several landmarks within a 100 mile radius.

Check-in went smoothly, staff was friendly. CG in in the flight path of light aircraft from nearby airport and across the highway from railroad, neither is irritating, just be aware. Sites are gravel with pavers for patio with a picnic table. Two sites share a stanchion for power and water. Most are pull-thru although there are some back-ins. CG Wi-Fi is terrible and local HDTV draws 8 or 9 stations, 3 major networks and Fox.
We have stayed here before and there are several National Parks, Monuments, Historic Sites and Ruins within easy driving distance. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you don't mind planes landing and taking off nearby all hours of the day and night, plus train whistles you should stay here. Noise from barking dogs, unpleasant fellow "campers" (I think because their sleep is constantly interrupted). Drove another hour to Grants and caught up on our sleep. As others have said, it is a former KOA, so expect a gravel parking lot not far off the interstate. We feel that for 33 bucks a night with an escapees discount, this park is a little over priced. Check in was quick and thorough, registrar was polite. Barely enough room in pull through for our 38ft. plus truck, we had an extra vehicle that had to be parked to the side, so if you are long, make sure you let them know you need plenty of length. I think we would look for another park if coming through here again. It is okay, nothing bad, just nothing great either. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Passing through for one night, it was easy to find-right off I-40 and away from the congested traffic further in town. What we didn't realize is that it was at the end of the airport runway and during our stay the planes were landing and taking off right over our fifth wheel and were very low and loud. They did stop at 9:30 PM but started back up at 8AM. We were given a large pull-through site between several trailers that were more long term and had pet fences, boxes, and other storage items sitting around their trailers. The trailer beside us had parked at an angle and we had to take some time to arrange ourselves so that our slide outs wouldn't touch. Because of our location, it did feel like a trailer park setting and not a campground to us. All of the other trailers had dogs and evidently when someone is not occupying our spot it is used for the doggie restroom as I had to pick up several "piles". Overnight one even used our trailer tires as a hydrant (if you know what I mean). Check in was very professional, laundry facilities nice and the gift shop offered lots of choices. Looks like during the summer months there are lots of fun activities and a nice pool. We probably would consider another park next time. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Check out the El Rancho Hotel and Restaurant. Very historic and interesting to see the movie stars who frequented there.

This former KOA, with side-by-side hookups, is squeaky clean with level sites. The store is one of the best we've encountered, and we're full-timers. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good laundry. We spent five days here, and then put our 5th wheel into storage for a month in the park's storage area. Some noise from the nearby airport and nearby railroad tracks, but not very bad. We would come back in a heartbeat. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Our third time staying here for one night while traveling. Nice place for an overnight. Since our last stay they have added pavers under the picnic tables. There was some dog poop around. Would be nice if the park owners would pick it up BUT it really does go back to the people staying there. Why can't people be considerate of others after them? Disgusting. Pick up after your dogs please! We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

We stayed here one night on the way to ABQ and were very happy with the accommodations. Check in was simple and the staff was very friendly. We stayed in spot #19 and was very happy with the conditions and quality of the services. The site was 'pull through' and made for a very simple setup. WiFi (free) was very strong and fast, water pressure was as expected, and cable connection was good but had a bit of interference...not so bad that we couldn't use it. We were far enough away from the trains so there was no interference with sleep. The RV park is in the takeoff/landing pattern for the local airport but luckily it isn't very busy. There isn't much in the area for restaurants as you are actually in 'West Gallup' but if you head east on I-40 to the next intersection and turn north, there are all kinds of restaurants and grocery stores for use. This part of RT66 is a bit run down and most restaurants and stores are closed down. We would stay here again and really liked the accommodations. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo

This is a former KOA which means the sites are *very* narrow. The sites are side-by-side with the driver's side being *very* close to your neighbor. Fortunately the row we are in is a long pull-through to accommodate our 65' combined length of coach and car hauler trailer. The interior roads are excellent, all paved, entrance is all paved and fairly well marked with signage. In spite of the many full-timers here, the park is neat as a pin. That was a pleasant surprise. This is a busy place so if you want to be sure of a site to meet your requirements (and especially if you will be a late arrival), best to call ahead and reserve a space. About the noise many have mentioned - yes, this is near a small airport and depending on the wind direction small aircraft (looks like 8-10 place twin turbine - prop jobs) might be taking off or landing directly overhead. But the operation frequency is maybe one takeoff or landing every two or three hours. Yes, there is some train noise that you could hear in a quiet RV but at night we *always* run a white noise generator which always guarantees a distraction-free sleep. We would stay here again. If the sites were wider, I would rate this place a 9. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This park is located a couple of miles outside or town. Very nice store and the young man in the office was very kind. We only stayed over night but would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. The park is all gravel, each site has a picnic table with some sort of tile under the table. There are shared utilities. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a former KOA, so sites are gravel as are the roads. The sites are arranged "head to tail", so they are not quite as tight as you usually find in a KOA, or a former KOA. This is probably not a "destination" park, but is plenty good enough for a short stay. Quite a few workers or other permanent residents, but there was no unsightly sites. Sites were very level - we didn't even put down our jacks for just a one night stay. They have quite a store - some groceries and lots of souvenir stuff, books and toys for kids, and some RV supplies. Very friendly and helpful with directions, etc. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Super friendly staff. Very fast check in. Nice store. Gravel sites but they were level and very easy to get in and out of. Small charge if you want cable and the Wi-Fi was a little slow. Free coffee in the store. Would stay here again. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Easy access off I-40. Sites are set up so that one set of utilities can serve two sites; therefore the door sides of RVs face each other but there is plenty of room between units. Little to no grass. I rated it as a 7 mainly because of the airport, I-40 and railroad noise. May not be a problem in well-insulated units. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This is a nice park with only three issues. The hookups are side by side so you are closer to your neighbor than you would like and the ground is covered with pea gravel. The gravel gets stuck in the tread of your shoes and is carried into the rig. It also gets kicked all over the brick patio. We tried to connect to both of their Wi-Fi access points in vain. Now for the good news. The park is attractive and the sites are long enough for a big rig and its toad. It is satellite friendly. We would return. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Like others have said; gravel parking lot with good utilities. Desk and store very good. Nice pool. Trains can be bothersome. WiFi never worked while we were there. OK for a brief stopover. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo
