Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park a couple of times this year and last when passing through Gallup. It is easy access off I40 and perfect for a one night stay. Gravel sites are adequate in size, although if you're a big rig and we are, someone in the next site with slides, could get a bit cramped. We haven't had anyone next to us either time this year so we've been lucky. Utilities are adequately placed, nice little dog park that was clean, however, along the sides of the park people tend not to pick up after their animals (my pet peeve). Nice little store on site and some nights there is a barbecue on site with pulled pork, chicken, etc. Friendly staff as well. Definitely will stay here again when we are in the area. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We needed a pull through long enough that we did not have to disconnect. The site they gave us was BARELY long enough. Site was not level. They had planned BBQ and ice cream social that night, for a small fee. Very nice staff. We were heading west bound on I-40 and were told to exit the last exit on the west end of town. Okay, easy to do that, but when you come to the bottom of the off ramp, at the stop sign - there are two major truck stops on the west and it was very difficult to be able to head back east to get to this RV Park. If you are heading east on I-40, it's not problem. Good thing we called for driving instructions as our GPS gave us a modified route from the east side of town which directed us under a VERY low bridge (that we could NOT have gone under). We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice park. Very quiet (not including airport and train). Modest dog run (walled in pea gravel...no pun intended). Pool/playground/cookout área looked nice. WiFi not terribly fast. Bathroom/shower clean but shower stall was small. Camp store had eclectic RV supplies and some groceries. FREE coffee in the AM. Nice staff. Easy to get to location and shopping nearby. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was our second time staying here in the last couple of years. There is basically very few choices in this area and as an overnight stop it is good. We were there two nights and virtually half of this campground empties out and refills everyday. The pull through sites are easily in and out. Hook ups were good - there was problems at our site with a couple power surges. The biggest problem we had was the unbeliveable amount of dog "poop" everywhere. The enclosed dog walk area had so much on the ground you could not even walk around. It is beyond me how adults with dogs let their pets poop and not feel the responsibility to clean up - on top of that it is unhealthy - worst I have ever seen in all my years of camping. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our 2nd stay here. Sites were so close I was not sure if my slides would hit the next site's slides. Units are parked facing opposite directions so your doors open to the camper next doors. OK for an over night but I wouldn't want to spend much time here. The site was just long enough for my 35' fifth wheel. Truck was barely off the road. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a one night reservation here on our way up north but the A/C in the car part of our motorhome blew and we had to get help right nearby at a truck repair shop. The staff here at USA RV were incredibly helpful and friendly. When the repair took longer than we hoped, they gave us the weekly rate even though we'd paid for 2 nights already. If we had to get stuck at an RV park, I'm glad it was this one. The spots aren't too tight, the laundry, showers and restrooms are spotlessly clean, and they're very dog-friendly. They have a Cowboy Cookout BBQ on site that isn't cheap but it's very good. We definitely recommend USA RV Park. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Price shown reflects base daily rate for a weekly stay. Add a surcharge of $2 per day each for optional cable TV and 50 amp electric. Very clean well cared for park with all the amenities: pool, dog park, free WiFi, playground, camp/gift store, book and video exchange, propane, dump station, laundry and Cowboy Cookout in the summer months (separately priced menu items). A mixture of water and electric and full hookup sites. Sites are mostly level with alternate facing directions so that utilities are always between the non-door sides of the RV's. Sites, all pull through, can feel a little cramped when the campground is full with about 4 feet between extended slides on one side and 12 or more feet on the non utility sides. Interior roads are paved. Two bath house/laundry locations. Four camp cabins. Verizon had a good signal. Located on eastern edge of Gallup but a quick drive to town on Historic US 66. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

During the summer months there are nightly Indian dances haed in front of the Courty House. Day trips to National Historic Hubbell Trading Post and El Morro National Monument are well worth the time. El Malpais National Monument offers hiking opportunities.

If you hate noise, then be aware that the park seems to sit at the end of a airport runway. Planes would fly overhead landing or taking off. And a train blows the whistle every so often, but with all the noise it didn't take away from the very clean and well run park. The sites are close together, but you still have enough room to park your rig and walk around. Each site had a picnic table. They also served food that was not only tasty but priced fairly too. Will make this a return to park on the next time through this area. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice campground. Pool, restrooms, and office were all very clean. We broke down and had to stay here. Staff was very nice and fixed us with a spot. The tow truck driver dropped our camper here and took our truck to the service station for us. Everyone is this area was very helpful getting us back on the road. Would definitely recommend this place. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was a pleasant surprise for a nice 1-2 night park close to I-40 with easy in and out. The roads are nice and wide and the sites are an adequate size. All of the sites are drive-thrus. Nice and very clean dog park even though it is all dirt. They do say you can walk your dog along the dirt road next to the park, but unfortunately people feel they do not have to clean up after their dogs there so it is nasty. They do have a pool and a couple of kids were in it, but we did not try it ourselves On a couple of nights they offer BBQ and ice-cream for sale under the ramada. It was not the best but it was pretty good. The man checking us in and the guy running the BBQ have to be the happiest workers that I have ever met at a park. It is nice to see people really enjoying their jobs. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Best RV park in Gallup, maybe all of New Mexico. Well laid out, plenty of room, great employees. And a wonderful BBQ dinner six nights a week! Also a very well stocked camp store and office that stays open until 10:00 pm for late arrivals. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Gallup is the silver and turquoise capital of the world. But almost everything closes on Sunday, including most of the restaurants. Catch the rodeo or hike to Pyramid Rock in Red Rock Park.

Site was level, ATT, satellite and utilities worked well. WiFi was at site but was only useful in the morning. When the park filled up every night, the WiFi was unusable, wouldn't load. The pool was nice, even though a bit warm. The sites were very close together, we had to move our picnic table so the rig next door could extend their slide, which was over our patio. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stumbled upon this RV park while driving from the Grand Canyon back home. It was immaculately clean, had a very friendly staff, and the sites were very long! We had room to pull through with our tow vehicle attached. They have a nice gift shop and some of the most delicious barbecue that I've ever had. They have barbecue ribs and pulled pork sandwiches (delicious!) that are served in an open air café beside a swimming pool that has an American flag painted in the bottom of it! The sunset was absolutely beautiful and we would definitely stay here again! We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.
