On Route 66, which parallels the Interstate. There are truck stops right at exit 116, and then a mile to the RV Park. Very busy RV Park. Lots of turnover each day. Check in area is very spacious, which is good because the second day of our stay there were 8 RV's queued to check in. Staff is very friendly. They have a large general store and gift shop, and the night we were there barbeque dinner was available supplied by an outside caterer. Roads are paved and easy to navigate. Sites are gravel, level, no grass (anywhere) and a patio just large enough to fit the picnic table. The sites are such that you share a utility side (pretty tight) and a patio side ( pretty spacious.) Utilities worked fine. Restrooms were very nice. WiFi was mostly terrible. Cable available for additional charge. Some shade trees. About 5 miles from downtown, straight down Route 66. No street noise. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Someone from the campground called first thing in the morning to confirm our reservation. Check-in was smooth and friendly. They made sure we knew they were serving pulled pork sandwiches for $5 later today. Roads were wide & easy to navigate. In the 50 amp pull-thrus they park in opposite directions but we had a nice-long spot for our 45' Class A. One night stop on our way to Albuquerque for Balloon Fiesta....easy access off I-40 with several truck fuel dealers right at the exit. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is clean and nicely kept up but the communications with the front desk is terrible - they rarely answer their phones - the voice mail box has been full for the last few days and they are not-responsive at all. This can make a BIG difference when the site they sent you to doesn't have sewer hook up - but - you paid for sewer hook up and you cannot find anyone - repeat anyone - to talk to about it. No one answers the phone - the voice mail box is FULL and you are left standing in the hot sunshine trying to figure out where to put a several ton vehicle. Oh well. It's a good overnight park - that's about it. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is our 2nd visit to this well-kept overnight park with level gravel sites. The park was empty when we arrived and full by dusk. The camp store, barbeque and ice cream social are nice options. Pool closed Labor Day. There is some train and aircraft noise but not too bad. The phone reservation and checkin process were redundant and slow: do you want water (y), 50 amp (y), sewer (y), cable (y), electric (y). Why ask if I want electric when I already said yes 50 amp? The checkin rep drew directions on the site map to site 31 by continuing straight from the entrance drive then a left hook turn between Oklahoma and Kansas; in a big rig with tow into the closest slot (could not be done)! So, we did a few laps around the park to correctly enter our site from the opposite direction. To exit the park; the rep drew a right hook turn (which could not be done in a big rig) instead of the straight shot back onto the entrance drive. We watched about a dozen big rigs go through the same exercise. Not 1 RV pulled directly into their slot; everyone would pull up, see they were approaching from the wrong direction, then do a few laps around the park. We watched rigs back into their pull thru apparently having been misdirected. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

RV park check-in staff is usually very good and showing us how to access our site. Don't know if the woman who checked us in was new or just clueless. She sent us in the wrong direction down the driveway to access site 83. Do to the angle of the parking pad for that site, we couldn't pull through from the direction she told us to drive. We had to drive around in the campground to enter from the other direction.

We have been to USA numerous times. It is really the only option in Gallup. The sites are narrow and side-by-side or "buddy" sites. Not our favorite. The hookups are all good. We needed to drive up on blocks to get level. Wifi was weak. But, as I said, it is the only option in town so we will no doubt return in the future. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Good park for an overnight off the interstate; not a destination park. Customer service was superb. Dinner available at the park (barbeque, when I was there). The park is neat and orderly, but basically a parking lot. The site orientation is the one where your neighbors front door is right at your front door. I came through here when the park was only half full, but I suspect it is not as comfortable when crowded. Cable TV for $2, with great selection of channels. Good Verizon, decent internet. Site not level. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

September 27- Easy access from I-40. We had no reservation. Check in was quick and easy with no problems. Sites are of red gravel. It was interesting to watch during a downpour the water coming down the roads yet the sites I saw were high and dry. GREAT barbecue dinner provided for RV'ers at a fair price. Cable was $2 extra but we had more than enough stations to watch over the antenna to keep us amused. (Found the Comet Channel. It seems to be old, bad Sci-Fi movies.) Restrooms and showers clean. Good size shower stalls. Somebody must have needed our picnic table more than us as it was missing. We would stay here again. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good Sam's discount & Disabled Military was better rate. Mosquitoes were terrible. Sites were so close I was not sure my slides would not hit the next sites slides. Units are parked facing opposite directions so your doors open to the camper next doors. OK over night but I wouldn't want to spend much time here. I was traveling with a friend and he called numerous times & got no answer - recording asked for code? The site was just long enough for my 35', parked T behind 5W truck was barely off the road. The only employees we saw were at the registration desk. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park for an overnight stay. Good 50 amps. I was in site 83 which was a little crowded with the neighbors. I would ask for the back row the next time. The spaces are wider. It is very clean and well kept. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed 1 night but want to return and stay longer. Park is clean, store is lacking in food but excellent in souvinears. They offered a home BBQ dinner with 4 meal options from $6.99 to 10.95. Purchase meal ticket in office/store and pick up food between 5:30 - 8 pm. Very friendly, family run. Note: sites are all gravel but wide and easy in and out. Only stayed here one night and it fit our needs. Cable TV is an extra charge as is 50 amp. Did honor Good Sam discount. Don't expect any grass for this is New Mexico. No grass, not even in the dog area. Didn't like the table arrangement. Your door opens towards your neighbor's door. Narrow sites. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The park needs some oversight during the check out in the AM and later in the evening to make sure that sites are clean and the people checking in have complied with proper parking etc. No one from the office ever drives around to just take a look. The office does not answer the phone if they have a customer at the check-in, if only to put the caller on hold. Also, there are two permanent trailers that have more then 5 dogs each that is sure to be some city or county violation. We have stayed here over the last 15 years, due to location and decent spaces. The facilities are as they were when this was a KOA many years, with very little or no upgrades except to make repairs. Pavers were installed under metal framed picnic tables, but no attempt was made to level the pavers, so tables wobble in every direction. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I have stayed at this park many times but was disappointed this time as it was busier and the spaces, access were very tight. The sites are on the buddy system so you will have a neighbor facing you although you can move further into your site so you are not directly across. The spaces are fairly long but very close together and the roads could be a little wider. I actually had to ask to the office to not put anybody next to me as I would not be able to make the turn out of my site when leaving. The park is in the flight path of a small airport so you do hear some planes taking off and landing but it has never really bothered me. Sites are gravel and roads are asphalt. Staff is very friendly and helpful. If you have a big rig you may want to discuss options with staff when making reservation so you do get jammed in. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Great Mexican restaurant on route 66, museum, lots of places to eat, things to see, get off the beaten path and go to the Zuni Indian Reservation. Great museum and ruins there but stop at the welcome center as their are restrictions in photography and you must have a tribe member take you to ruins. Take a trip to Inspiration Rock at El Morro National Monument. You won't be disappointed.
