Very nice park. If you stay in summer try to get a site with covered parking, it's worth the minor upcharge. They put on a really nice 4th of July party, they supplied hamburgers, pulled pork, brisket and hot dogs. Attendees supplied sides and desserts. Very clean and well maintained park. Good water, wifi, electric and sewer. Some sites are back-in but there is plenty of room to maneuver. I will be staying here again. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We were visiting a friend in Las Cruces and glad we found this nice park. It's very clean and nicely laid out, with wide gravel roads and nice landscaping. The water pressure and wifi were good (too much chlorine in the water though). Sites were wide enough. Laundry and sitting room were very clean. There is a train nearby, but only heard it once in the middle of the night. The park would have rated higher if there had been a pool and if there wasn't a noisy tree cutter working immediately behind our RV for two days. It is in a nice location in Las Cruces, in the middle of town but easy to get around. TV cable got lots of channels. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit old Mesilla. We went to La Posta and thought it was great, although the food was just average, still worth the trip. It's in a very historic area and there was so much to look at. Prices on food were good but drinks were pricey.

This is our second time at Sunny Acres. Very clean 55+ park with nice pull through sites. A little close to neighbors, but for a one or two night stay well worth the price. Half the park are full time residents (friendly). More than enough room for the biggest rv's with a tow. Look forward to our next visit. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff. We found the park while looking for a place close to a wedding we where going to attend. Nice clean park with well maintained landscape. Sites are wide & level, paved patios with picnic tables, FHU, cable, WiFi with grass between sights. I frequent Las Cruces so this will be my goto in the future. This is our 2nd stay here in a wonderful park close to Old Mesilla! The interior roadways are super wide and graveled. Camp sites are back in and pull thru, all gravel, level, spacious, with grass patios with a picnic table. FHU, 30A/50A, good water pressure. Hookups are close to connections on your RV. Office staff are very friendly. Club house has a small kitchen, pool table with ping pong tops, movie viewing area, several TVs and a couple of stationary exercise machines. Shaded sites with tall and full trees. May impact satellite receivers. Cable TV and WiFi free and is excellent. Over 65 TV channels and WiFi is strong enough to stream video from Hulu, Netflix or Amazon! We camped here last year in Jan and knew we wanted to return for this stay here in Las Cruces. Quiet, close to restaurants, groceries and other shopping needs. My site, II (2 eyes, not eleven) is a long pull thru so my 40' Phaeton and towed 18' car hauler fit and remained connected. Room for car in front of RV. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Be sure to have a meal or two at Nellie's Cafe, just around the corner from the entrance to the park on Hadley. Can you say delicious New Mexican cuisine!?!?!?

Nice park with wide roads in the park. Entrance road is a little narrow. Lot was level and gravel. Had cement patio with picnic table. Lots of space between sites. Dog park was a nice size. Verizon Service was good. WiFi was good. Would stay here again. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

The owner went out of her way to find us ano overnight spot after being treated badly at another park. (even called a 'not yet showed' to make sure they were not coming) Our spot was spacious. We could leave our tow vehicle connected overnight. And all services worked perfect. We had a very comfortable overnight stay. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We had to go to the Post Office in the morning and it was actually a very pleasant 1 1/2 mile walk through 'old Las Cruces' - felt very safe. We have hiked in Las Cruces, taken part in the Day of the Dead clebrations and have found several great local breweries and Mexican restuarants (oh ... and a winery)

We stayed at this park one night and were pleased with it. Access into the park was good and the park roads were in good condition. sites were level but a little close together, but not bad at all. Hookups were fine. The enclosed dog walking area was a nice size with no grass, but still a good enclosure to let the dog run. Pretty good Mexican restaurant within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a clean older part with long and fairly level gravel sites. Many full-timers in the park but everyone keeps their sites tidy. Sites are plenty long for us to stay hooked-up with a 42' 5th wheel but are close together. Fenced in dog park, picnic table ( need some TLC), wi-fi and cable. The park is about 6 miles off I-10 and in a rather rough part of town. This is our second stay here and probably next time will research other parks in the area due to the cost and location. This was our second time staying overnight in Las Cruces, but our first time at Sunny Acres. We chose it because it's $10 less than the RV Park we stayed at last time. We found the sites at Sunny Acres to be slightly wider than typical "in town" RV parks, which was nice. Our pull-through (#2) was very wide and long and was great for our overnight stay. There are many long-term RVs here but the park and sites are clean and tidy. The free WiFi was too slow to be useful, AT&T had decent signal but was a bit slow, while Verizon was fast. There's a fenced dog park but it's rather small for larger dogs like our Labrador Retriever. Apart from the campground we didn't see any other good places to for longer dog walks, so if we were staying more than one night we'd need to figure that out. The park is a few miles off I-10, so it's not the most convenient place for an overnight stay, but it worked for us. Staff was friendly and helpful. We'd consider staying here again. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We planned to stay one day but had some truck trouble and then crazy winds so we ended up staying a week. The folks at the office were very accommodating (no pun intended), and, although they had to move us once, they were able to keep us in the park for what turned out to be 7 days. The back-in (#13) had good separation from nearby rigs but not much space for the truck. We were moved to FF, a pull-thru, which was a bit narrower but there was room for the truck. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We've stayed at this park several times over the last several years as it's fairly easy to get to, less than a couple miles off I-10, but not sitting next to a noise Interstate highway. Though the park has many seasonal residents, the park has always been able to accomadate us for an overnight stop. Nice dog park, Verison and AT&T good, many local TV stations available, and good satellite access from our site. There are a couple "industrial" facilities off the north and west sides of the park, but they all seem to be primarily daytime operations and have not caused any night time noise during our stays. This park continues to be on our "stop" list when passing through. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

The nightly rate is based on our month-long snowbird stay from mid-January to mid-February, excluding electricity and propane costs. We have stayed there for three winters for varying lengths of time, but this was our longest. We have recommended Sunny Acres to numerous RV friends and will continue to stay there anytime we are in the vicinity. Las Cruces is much smaller than Tuscon or Phoenix for snowbirding. But that doesn't that everything snowbirders need isn't readily available. The Camping World in El Paso is less than 20 miles down I-10. And not being a big city means that biking on level ground to a grocery store, Walmart, or even downtown is possible. A variety of cultural events and concerts are available at the Rio Grande Theater and New Mexico State University. City museums in Las Cruces--art, nature & science, railroad--very good for a small city and are FREE! As a geologist, I especially enjoyed the strange, but beautiful, Zuhl Geological Collection at the NMSU Visitor's Center. There is also the exceptional NM Farm & Ranch Museum on the southeastern edge of town. A terrific central library is supplemented by multiple libraries at the university. Parks are numerous, as are recreation centers with indoor pools. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Exploring La Mesilla is a fun way to spend a day, especially if dinner at La Posta is included. And Las Cruces makes a great base for day trips to White Sands National Monument, Alamogordo's Museum of Space History, the Inn at Cloudcroft, Silver City and the Gila Cliff Dwellings, and Hatch. In Texas, there are the nearby Franklin Mountains State Park's Aerial Tramway and War Eagles Museum, plus Big Bend and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks are just a few hours away.

Tips for other Campers:

Las Cruces is a college town so there are the usual amenities: fast food, local/chain restaurants, shopping centers, national grocery stores, shopping centers, etc.

State and federal parks are in the area. We visited the Heritage Farm during our stay.

Area is known for pecan, pistachio and vineyards ... we did not have time to tour, but will next time in the area.
