This is a clean older part with long and fairly level gravel sites. Many full-timers in the park but everyone keeps their sites tidy. Sites are plenty long for us to stay hooked-up with a 42' 5th wheel but are close together. Fenced in dog park, picnic table ( need some TLC), wi-fi and cable. The park is about 6 miles off I-10 and in a rather rough part of town. This is our second stay here and probably next time will research other parks in the area due to the cost and location. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our second time staying overnight in Las Cruces, but our first time at Sunny Acres. We chose it because it's $10 less than the RV Park we stayed at last time. We found the sites at Sunny Acres to be slightly wider than typical "in town" RV parks, which was nice. Our pull-through (#2) was very wide and long and was great for our overnight stay. There are many long-term RVs here but the park and sites are clean and tidy. The free WiFi was too slow to be useful, AT&T had decent signal but was a bit slow, while Verizon was fast. There's a fenced dog park but it's rather small for larger dogs like our Labrador Retriever. Apart from the campground we didn't see any other good places to for longer dog walks, so if we were staying more than one night we'd need to figure that out. The park is a few miles off I-10, so it's not the most convenient place for an overnight stay, but it worked for us. Staff was friendly and helpful. We'd consider staying here again. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

First time stay. Graveled two way interior roads. Gravel pads, grassy area and picnic table provided. Cable available. Spotty WiFi. Quiet, with minimal road noise. Grocery store within walking distance. Registration staff was very friendly and helpful in sharing "places to see" while we were there. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Las Cruces is a college town so there are the usual amenities: fast food, local/chain restaurants, shopping centers, national grocery stores, shopping centers, etc.

State and federal parks are in the area. We visited the Heritage Farm during our stay.

Area is known for pecan, pistachio and vineyards ... we did not have time to tour, but will next time in the area.

We have stayed here twice. Once on our way to New Orleans for Thanksgiving and now upon our return to California. This is a very nice park and is very quiet. The owner is very helpful and friendly. They followed up on a site conflict and called us with a good resolution. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is one of those "you need ear plugs" RV parks. We were placed in the very back in a pull-thru. It turns out there is a huge commercial operation over the fence, and they started trucks up around 4-5 a.m., letting engines idle right across the fence from us. It was incredibly noisy, the noisiest place we've stayed during our 3 month, 29-state trip. Add a nearby train crossing to that which woke us in the middle of the night. Top it off with a nearby drum corps (a local high school, I think) starting practice at 7:45 a.m. and it was a sleepless night. This is a well-managed and maintained park. Just not quiet during our sleeping hours (at night). We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't stay in the last aisle (the AA, BB, CC, etc.) aisle because that puts you right next to the commercial operation and the noise. It might seem good during the day to be at the back of the lot, but on weekdays, they start early -- I would estimate the noise began around 4-5 a.m. Weekends might be o.k. as they're likely closed then.

Great customer service, pulled in late one evening without a confirmed reservation and they had a couple of spaces for our Big Rig. The others guests were friendly and invited us to happy hour. Saturday mornings they have donuts and coffee for the guests and the staff were very helpful with finding things to do in the area. Clean park, huge spaces, grass, enclosed grassy dog area, and nice rigs only in the park. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

What a sweet park! Easy access from either IH 25 or 10. Wide, wide access drive to your site. Easy checkin, called 1 day in advance, no credit card needed, and they gave us a WONDERFUL site with grass for the night. Perfect for our 37' TT. Friendly ladies at checkin. Park has many longTerm guests, but all rigs are neat and uncluttered. Very nice park! We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Best RV park in Las Cruces. Friendly helpful check-in. Very wide roads, huge level pull through with lawn, picnic table & shade trees, which are rare in this desert area. Good hookups. Right in the city, but very quiet since it is set back from the road. Close to shopping, restaurants, etc. Large fenced off leash area for dogs. Lots of rules posted, but not oppressive. GPS took us right to the location, easy to find, decent signage. A true desert oasis. Only negative, there is no pool. Decent WiFi & great cable TV. We only stayed overnight. We did use the restroom showers which are individual restrooms. They were very clean and it was obvious the owners take pride in the cleanliness. We did not use the wifi but the cable TV was good. My biggest complain is the stickers/cockleburs in the grass. I believe it is a good value and we felt safe. We will stay here in. We stayed for a week and paid 238.00$ WiFi was almost non existent. You can connect but when you try and search something it sits there and spins. Reported this 3 days in a roll, with no change the whole time we were there. We were put in site FF. Gravel parking lot with a little grass and a bush in between sites. No shade, no trees. 104 degrees. We had made reservations a couple of months ahead of time and ask for a pull thru. Were several available in the park with trees and shade. Didn't pay attention till we were set up and settled in (our fault). When I ask about our site she said she wasn't sure why the lady put us back there and we could move, this was half way through our stay. No thank you. Next time in the area we will try someplace else. Roads and sites are gravel and fairly level. Cable good. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for a 3 day lay over on our way to Albuquerque then on to Angel Fire - this was a great place to stay and relax - we had a nice pull thru with excellent hook-up - there was also a nice picnic table - we had no immediate neighbors as 25% of the spots were empty - the property is well groomed with maintenance staff working inconspicuously through out the park - the laundry room was very neat and clean - $1.25 per load for dryer and washer - on the website they said the roads thru the park were wide - I'd say very wide and bet that I could have made a u-turn with my truck and 22' travel trailer - the host(s) were very helpful with info on places to go and things to see - they have a free movie nite once a week - nice view of the Organ Mountains - no store on site but there is a Family Dollar and a Super Save only 200 to 300 yards from the park entrance from which you can get anything you could possibly need - there are some full time residence but their site are neat and clean and don't present an eye sore like we have seen in other RV parks - I needed to do a little maintenance on my RV and they let me use the tools and vice in their shop - in addition we saw someone in their coach leaving in the morning and they needed some air in one of their tires - the maintenance crew wheeled out their compressor and filled up his tire - I would recommend this park to anyone for a lay-over or an extended stay - they also have complimentary coffee and donuts on Saturday morning (while they last) - good job Sunny Acres. This is our second stay at Sunny Acres. The first time we were here for three nights; the site they gave us was small, but shaded. We reserved for a week after doing some touring in AZ. This time we were given a great shady site with grass and close proximity to everything. The office staff was wonderful, even assisted us in returning a lost watch. The park is well maintained and offers a lot of amenities. The park has a wide variety of spots and they try to accomodate everyone. It is quiet and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. This is our second time at this campground. It was just an overnighter for us this time, but we wouldn't stay anywhere else if we're passing through the Las Cruces area. This time we had a very easy-in, easy-out pull through right next to the office. The level, gravel sites are nice and wide. We had a shade tree on this one. We had to pick up some groceries and didn't have to unhitch the car. The grocery store is less than a block away. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

If you want to go out for dinner, there's a good brew pub, High Desert Brewery, that's about half mile away. The food is very good, the people are friendly, and the drinks are excellent. My husband had the beer and I had a root beer which they make on the premises.
