We had a very nice stay at this park. The grounds are impeccably clean, and the staff super-nice and helpful with any needs.
The K9 dog area is in dire need of attention (full of weeds), but there are trails nearby that were a lot of fun for the dogs (and us). We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were unable to receive any television channels over the air (and our system generally works without problems)....so plan on watching DVDs :-)

I found this KOA in need of attention. The sites and roads are mostly dirt and appear to have been almost washed out by the last rain. Way too many mosquitoes, I had welts for a week after. But the worst is the water pressure, my site registered 20psi which is useless. They don't bother using a pump. Half the water pressure should result in half the price. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Motorhome.

I was desperate because it was July 4th weekend. They said they had a spot but it had no sewer. I agreed. But when I arrived, it was one in back of the office. I had to back in my 40 foot 5er. Then they had to run a hose from the pool house for water. No sewer, no CATV and only 30 amp electrical. You would think they would discount the $42 nightly rate? Nooooo! We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

I hate to give this park a bad review, because the owner is SO nice, but this place is in sad shape. Entrance/exit is easy, but road to park is narrow and very bumpy. Interior roads are dirt and confusing, sites are a bit too close. Lots of places to walk the dog, but tons of burrs. WiFi good, cell reception (Verizon) weak, sat dish setup ok, no cable but antenna can receive a few stations. Pool looked inviting. Nighttime mosquitoes were abundant. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Las Vegas, NM with its Harvey House and railroad charm.

Typical KOA. Staff very friendly and informative about the town. I have two different GPS units and neither one listed the campground. I had to use directory and call for directions to campground. Road to campground paved but rough. Campground offered breakfasts and dinners at reasonable prices. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Las Vegas, NM a very historic town, lots of old buildings several good restaurants.

The park is on a slope with a significant number of trees across the park. Driveways are gravel and not all that level. Water pressure low but useable. WiFi was very weak most of the time. Price was for water/electric site. It seems high but there are not many parks around here. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Motorhome.

On paper, this sounds like a nice place but Las Vegas KAO is over-rated and over priced. The access road is very rough. The entire campground is on a slope and few sites are level. The "New deluxe sites" are not level and the site patios are weeds and fist sized rocks. Water pressure is very low (gravity feed). I finally was able to log on to the internet after several hours of trying only to get a pop-up offering to sell me "Premium high speed". Free WiFi is so slow at times it is practically unusable. Bathrooms were old but spacious and clean. Staff is very friendly. A cafe offers breakfast and supper which we did not try. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice park 4 miles from Las Vegas, NM. Passing through area so we only spent one night. Quiet and comfortable park. Lots of little groups of sites around the RV park. We had a nice, level pull-through. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects a 10% KOA discount plus an additional $10 off coupon we had. We didn't feel this place was even worth the $29 we paid, let along the full price. Road and sites are gravel. We had a 50 amp pull through site which was pretty level. They were having water problems; pressure was low. Laundry was closed due to water issues. Free WiFi which did not work for us. This place needs some major TLC. There is not much available in the area. We doubt we would stay here again. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Park had sparsely graveled surface and had muddy ruts in the entry. My site had very little gravel and a good bit of mud. It had been raining but the park was in need of having a lot more gravel brought in to allow better driving surface. Water was gravity fed and was low pressure, 23 psi as measured by my gauge. I did not like parking in the mud. I would not stay here again. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice people. This is our second stay in the campground and we will go back. Our only complaints are the grass burrs which make walking dogs difficult and the rough road to the park. Good park for the money. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice feel to this park. Not so commercial. Quiet too, even though I-25 not that far away. Will stay here again if in the area. Can get about 10 over the air TV channels. Sites slightly sloped but level side to side. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a quiet campground, with a great staff. Sites are nice, but many are on a slope. Water pressure is low. Restrooms are cleaned on a regular basis, but need updating, mold removal, etc. The park Internet is great during the daytime, but impossible to use during evening hours. There is a strong signal, but it only seems to allow a few users to log on at a time. I thought it was funny that when I called about a reservation I was told about the grocery store. When I arrived I noticed that the selection was limited to one each of about half dozen grocery items! We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Pretty much the same as others have stated. Highly recommend staying in one of the 7 newer pull-thru's as they are mostly level and utilities are good, rest of sites are very iffy. BEWARE PETOWNERS; the sand burrs are everywhere and painful, we used dog shoes for our dog and were constantly picking them out of our shoes and the dogs'. There is a nice sand/dirt path that leads to sandy dog area. We are full-timers and have stayed in 100's of CG's and believe this may be our least favorite. Staff is nice but don't try to use your VKR $'s because they don't want to be bothered. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Motorhome.

Poor interior roads, sites not level. There are not many parks in this area, so we have stayed here twice. Other than location, not much to recommend it, I'm afraid. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
