Not much to add to the other lukewarm reviews except the attitude of the desk man was the worst. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We have this a slightly better rating because of the long length of pull thru sites and the fact that we had a little breathing room between sites. Nothing fancy at all but a convenient overnight stop. You'll hear the train whistles in town, which is over the freeway and a good distance away. Pay close attention to the signs guiding you there, as there are a number of turns to make, to reach the front. We were needing propane for our rig but were told we had to get it early in the morning as the owner would be in church later so we passed on getting propane. We have found it hard to get propane on this vacation as few people know how to pump it, and if the Rv store isn't open, you also can't get it pumped. Our site was just gravel, with a very old wooden picnic table. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Motorhome.

This campground has clean sites and restrooms are clean just old. BUT the service is HORRIBLE!!!! The owner is very rude. It's horrible doing business with them. No security apparently. Had people looking in windows during the night. We didn't feel safe at all. Hope this helps people to understand to avoid this place unless you like rude people. Will NEVER be back. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed in this KOA years ago and it was awful. We checked the reviews before we booked on this trip and they were somewhat better but still quite negative. This is a one night stop for us on a very long drive and we were not looking forward to the stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the improvements made since we were here last. Yes, it is a gravel campground with gravel sites, etc., but it is the desert southwest and you won't find many that aren't. The service at the desk was excellent, the site we were assigned was 50amp and extra large and at the back of the campground. Perfect for us as we have a dog to walk and the dog walks are nearby. The whole place is clean and well maintained and my only negative comment would be about the fake flowers in the flower beds. Very out of place, but obviously an effort by someone to "spruce up" the place. We would stay here again as we are passing through, but it is definitely not a destination KOA. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

As of this post the roads to get to this KOA from the highway are under construction and it was necessary to take a crazy detour to get in. I would think the road improvements won't last but a couple more weeks, though.

KOA campgrounds are just too costly period. You could stay in a motel 6 for the cost. This one you get to drive right off the I10, around the corner on to a dirty street with garbage, buildings that need to be replaced and poor stray dogs looking for food. Not a pretty site to view. This a GRAVEL parking lot we paid $40.00 to use for the night. It was a stop to park. If that's what you want then this is the place. It needs to be cleaned up and updated. READ the reviews, ALL of them, before you stop. They have a lot of rules. Sites not well marked. Staff needs education on being Friendly and helpful. How to speak clearly on the phone. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean, big sites. Standard southern New Mexico campground with lots of gravel, but they have a few trees and the spot is very clean. Lordsburg is a dump, so this is your only option for anything decent. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

A change in travel plans found us in Lordsburg for one night. The KOA was convenient to I-10 and easy to find. We find KOAs to be pricey for what you get. We rarely use anything but the hookups and/or dump stations. We had been fighting the wind for days on our way home and were just glad to find a safe place to park for the night. The campground itself is large, but was pretty empty when we arrived. Maybe 10 or 12 others pulled in as the evening progressed. The sites were pretty level so we didn't have to unhitch our toad. We had no neighbors on either side so we didn't feel cramped for space. A little train noise could be heard during the night, but it wasn't too bad. This, for us at least, would not be a destination location, but we were just fine to get off the freeway and stay here on our last night of a 2-week road trip. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Your typical KOA transient park--premium price for an OK park. Road to access the park is a bit narrow and not in the best repair. Slow down, and you'll be fine. Two or three blocks off I-10, so highway noise is minimal and quick on-and-off access. Entire park is gravel. All sites are pull-through and easy to navigate. Hookups were convenient. Includes cable TV. Typical WiFi speed--at least I could connect with my laptop (my benchmark). WiFi slowed down as more rigs pulled into park. We opted for a 30 amp, electric/water site to save a few bucks. Pool was drained for the season. Bathroom are dated, but very clean. Shower area included decent dressing area. Only sit-down restaurant in town was about 1 1/2 block walk--basic family restaurant, decent prices, average food, and good service. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Just an overnight on the way to Arizona, it was adequate for our needs. Driving in from I10, you go through a fairly sketchy area, but once in, it was fine. There weren't too many people at park, so there was enough room to stay hooked up, full house might be another story. Utilities were fine and sky was open for satellite. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We always use this place as our last stop and have stayed here at least 4X. However, the rate goes up 10% every year. I think it is the lack of competition for miles around. Next time I will stay in Deming or Silver City. The park is neat and clean. Good service. Just a stop over. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a journey KOA. Greeted by a very friendly woman in office. Park was pretty empty, due to time of year. It's an easy ride off I-10, but to get to park, you will go through a very rundown neighborhood. We almost didn't continue to the park, but we were weary and decided to give it a try. The park itself is just a big gravel parking lot type look, with hookups. Sites were level aND spacious. Again, there were only a few RV'S in the park. The store was clean and fairly well stocked. This was fine for a one night stopover. Too bad it's not in a better neighborhoood. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Good spot for an overnight stay. We never did see an employee. I think $3 charge per night for 50 amp is way too much. This is a typical KOA. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We only stayed one night on our way thru. Park has plenty of pull-trough campsites, unhooking is not necessary. General appearance of park is very neat, several small trees scattered around the park are neatly manicured with grass around each tree. Nice pool and small dog area is available. We would overnight here again. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Motorhome.
