Wonderful park. Very enjoyable stay in a beautifully landscaped park with mountains all around. Staff works hard to keep everything right. WiFi was very good, cable good, just no problems at all. Very quiet, no traffic noise. The Red River runs right beside the park. Our dogs loved to go for walks along the river. At&T doesn't work in Questa but Verizon had a strong signal. We hope to come back next summer. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Questa has a dollar store, a well stocked hardware store and a nice little grocery. The fish hatchery has a nice fishing pond for over 65s and kids, caught my limit (3) several times. Red River is a short beautiful drive and Taos is about a half hour away.

Rate reflects combined PA discount and non-discount days. If I had a different site, I would have rated the park higher. Site was shaped like a slice of pie (wider in the rear), and adjacent to the interior loop road, so I couldn't park my truck at my site. Site on other side was very close. Decent sized fenced dog run. Wifi worked well. Utilities worked fine. 5 mph speed limit is neither followed nor enforced. Entrance is narrow and trees rub on the coach. This is one of the few parks in the Enchanted Circle area that is off the road, so at least it is quiet. Would stay here again if in the area, but would want a different site. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Fifth Wheel.

Pat's Place just up the main street has decent food. Tia's Cafe near the Rio Grande National Monument also has decent food. Closest ATM is in the town supermarket.

Questa lodge Seems to be renovation in progress. Front part of park has some very nice landscaping with trout pond outdoor seating, duck pond, walking paths , etc. back part is fine, but not as groomed. Has laundry and good WiFi. Some sites require leveling. Interior roads are okay. Typical park for this area. Quiet and very personable owner. Also Passport Park. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff was very helpful. The property is well kept and clean. The small gravel parking area is level and easy to walk on. The setting is very pretty. We wanted a Church to attend and were given a good recommendation. Excellent WiFi! Clean water. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $450.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I stayed at Questa Lodge Jan. 2018 - April 2018. This is hands down the best RV Park we have stayed at. Surrounded by mountains, beautiful landscaping, with the easily accessible Red River running directly next to the property. The full hookup spots are easily accessible (some pull-through some back-in), and the clean, temperature-controlled bathroom means you can take a hot shower anytime. The park is landscaped everywhere and everything is well-kept and clean. When we had snow they cleared to roads in the park the next morning. There is a dog-park, a children's playground, and a river walk as well. Cell service is spotty for AT&T, and excellent for Verizon. We played horseshoes, fly-fished in the river, played in the snow, and did some rooftop sky-gazing with the telescope. The entire region of Northern NM is fantastic for recreation - great hiking, skiing, climbing, and trail-running surround the entire area around Questa. The owner and manager is a personable, down-to-earth guy who made sure we were not just satisfied with our stay, but content and enjoying our time. I can't recommend Questa Lodge enough. The price was more than fair as well. We are already planning another trip for next year! We camped at Questa Lodge in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The small town of Questa has a hardware store, a couple of hole-in-the-wall restaurants (with good food), an automotive store, mechanic shops, yoga, thrift stores, and propane refill all within 10 minutes of one another. No traffic either! If you're looking to ski, hike, climb, or just passing through anywhere in Northern NM go to Questa Lodge. Its 30 minutes from Taos, and 20 minutes from Red River (both are beautiful, scenic drives).

Questa is a great little town with polite, friendly locals. The town got hit hard when the mine shut down, yet still these people manage to be much happier than those in DFW area. People went out of their way to help my wife and I on multiple occasions - a lost phone on the main road, a broken propane hose, a broken bolt in my truck's exhaust manifold... the kindness was endless.

Overall Rating:

Questa Lodge is a nice campground and cabin RV park. It's conveniently located about a half mile off the main highway through Questa. That's just far enough to avoid the nuisance of the highway noise, but close enough to make it convenient. The campground is also located on the banks of the Red River. Located down in a little valley, you'll enjoy the fresh cool air and sound of the river flowing. The owner/manager is always on site and ready to help. I needed an electrical adapter and he loaned one to me for the duration of our stay. The facility has a nice fishing pond under some huge shade trees. When we were there, the fish ponds had been recently stocked. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Wi-fi was excellent, as was our cell phone signal. Cabins are available for rent. We didn't see the interior of any, but the exteriors looked very nice. It'd be a good spot to have our kids (who don't own a camper) meet us for a vacation. Sites are level gravel. We enjoyed a very peaceful and quiet stay and will definitely return. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Wild Rivers National Recreation Area north and west of Questa. It offers a great view of the junction of the Rio Grande and Red Rivers. Also, visit the Red River fish hatchery. Questa is on the Enchanted Circle, the loop around Taos, Angel Fire, Red River, etc. and is a beautiful drive. Taos is only 24 miles away. For the best southwestern food, you have to visit Orlando's and Guadalajara Grill!! Of course, Taos offers a lot more than food! Red River is a great stop, too.

Paid for Cable TV but couldn't get it to work! Quiet place next to a nice small stream. I would guess that there are some trout in it. The host (employee) was very nice but he is so overworked it's a shame.

If it weren’t for our GPS, we never would have found this campground. The signs out on the highway are very small and easily missed. The entrance is also the exit. It's very narrow and if you're coming in when someone else is coming out, one of you is going to have to back up. The pull-thru we had was big and level, but some of the back-ins would be difficult to get into. There are some sites along the river that probably flood out during the spring snow melt. The laundry has three washers ($2) and three dryers ($2), but one of the dryers was out of order, the rubber gasket around the door of another one was falling off, and the gasket on the other was completely gone. The owners seem more concerned with adding unnecessary things, such as a gazebo, than in taking care of the things that are already there. There was no over-the-air tv reception and no cable, however they did offer to set up a satellite connection if you asked. If we're ever in this area again, we won't stay here. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Motorhome.

This campground is in a pleasant site along the Red River. The sites are level but are poorly marked and many are hard to get into. The owners are working hard to create new amenities, but are neglecting basic daily maintenance. There was trash scattered over our sites. The restrooms and showers were not cleaned, not even once in our 10 day stay. This was gross. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Motorhome.

This a nice park; still improving. Our site was level and the utilities convenient. Electrical service was fine but use a regulator for water. It is quiet once the owners stop working sometimes at dusk. It is at the foot of the mountains although the drive to Taos (20 miles) is a plateau. Restrooms/showers are convenient and clean, however, shower area has no curtained or walled changing area and would be visible from the open door. Questa has very limited services but Taos has everything including traffic congestion (go with the flow and be patient). Take the loop drive through Red river to Angel Fire to Taos. Stop for tamales. Rate is unadvertised PA weekly. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Travel Trailer.

We have been staying here on and off for years. The place has really not changed much in 10 years other than the trees are gone and have put in electric meters if you stay for a month as we did. The electric was not cheep. The place is quite and is cheaper than Red River. The electric is poor. I will not come here anymore because of the power is so bad. The bath house is good. They are not really fixing it up like there could to make it a great park. We will not go to eagle nest for the summer. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Motorhome.

Great family owned RV park and cabin rentals in Questa. Family is updating the park and adding more RV sites. Full hookup with "wonderful" internet access from the comfort of your RV. Daily rate reflects monthly rate plus electric. Any small issue that we had was quickly corrected by the family. I would highly recommend this park especially over the high priced parking lot RV sites in Red River. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Okay, this quaint little place sort of breaks my heart. It is ALMOST so awesome. When I visited, the manager was out of town and his sweet and helpful elderly parents were looking after the place. It was readily apparent that I was visiting preseason. There was quite a bit of stacked up outdoor furniture lying around, and I'm betting there were only two or three other parties on the whole place. It was quite a hike from my campsite, which was just behind the cabins available for rent at the front of the park, to the exceptionally clean and well-heated bath house on the back of the park. However, it was certainly a lovely walk. The mountain air is delightful, there are glimpses of snow capped mountains beyond the creek, and the landscaping in the park itself is quite nice, though the folksy little pond trail needs only a couple of obnoxious garden gnomes to achieve serious kitsch status. Two big problems: 1) there's an immense amount of rusty old trashy stuff just beyond the chain link fence separating the park from the back of a warehouse or some sort of retail area. I would highly recommend a shrub border to hide that trashy view. It really ruins the ambiance and the sense of the little park as being a place apart. Second, the address gave my GPS all kinds of problems, and I ended up on the wrong side of the highway stuck on a narrow mountainous road that I would never have been able to get turned around on if a lovely local person had not stopped and helped me back my rig up. Be careful, and be sure of your directions or you might end up spending the night with the mountain goats and bootleggers until someone can come along and rescue you. If Questa Lodge can get its neighbors to clean up their act, help GPS to figure out where they are, and possibly mark their campsites a little better for those who may be coming in after sunset, it will be, as Mary Poppins says, practically perfect in every way. We camped at Questa Lodge in a Travel Trailer.

This campsite is back off the main highway and is nicely landscaped. The owners were pleasant and didn't have a lot of rules and restrictions. The bathrooms and showers definitely needed some makeovers, or at least kept cleaner with better lighting and cleared the bugs out of the showers. They had a neat little pond you could sit around and relax and watch their swans. Good price for what you get. Nice views of the mountains in the back and right along a river you could walk to.
