Nice, scenic location right off of NM 522 with many nearby outdoor enthusiast attractions like, the Rio Grande River, the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument, the Gorge Bridge, Red River, Santa Cruz Lake, Wheeler Peak Wilderness as well as nearby commercialism in Taos, Espanola and Santa Fe. Free WIFI usually fastest I have found in 3 years full time traveling. AT&T roaming connection averaging 2 bars. I don"t watch TV but it must be happening as there are several rigs with satellite TV gear hooked up. Some highway noise but mostly quiet at night...except for the adjoining property owners dogs that frequently yap and disturb what could be very quiet, peaceful nights. That yapping should be music to the ears of k9 owners. Water pressure is good as well as electric service. No bath house or bathrooms or sewer problems. Owner and staff helpful, friendly and ready to lend a hand. Some quiet, helpful, full timers in the park. Pantry, auto motive parts and service, propane, pharmacy, restaurant, pubs within 1 mile for immediate needs. Park accommodates rigs from diesel pushers to truck campers on gravel pull through and back in sites. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Super nice park, large parking spots, great WiFi, management & hosts are great, we have stayed here many times and will continue to stay at this park. Beautiful surroundings. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Park attracts guests who choose to return often and help one another. Our first visit we did not have the correct electrical cord and a guest loaned us one for the night until we could get to Red River the next day. Quiet and convenient to many attractions on the Enchanted Circle we just can't say enough wonderful things about this rv park the owner is such a wonderful host you see him often and if he sees you, you can bet he will always stop and say howdy the park is the best you will find anywhere we always look forward to returning to the park several times each year. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The facility is great. The owner and the host are exceptional. The owner is very gracious and will help in any situation and is knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The campground has picnic tables at each site and a covered pavilion with tables for use by the guests. The owner continues to add to the facility, and a laundry is in the future. Will always stay here when in the area. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the second year we have stayed here. Monthly rate is very reasonable. The staff and owner could not have been more friendly or helpful. Improvements have been made since last year. You won't go wrong staying here. The park is nice. There is some road noise but tolerable. A nice pavilion has been added since last year. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Owner was very accommodating. Met us at trailer, introduced himself, made sure we got set up. No bathhouse/restroom building, said they were still a work in progress, that may be part of work in progress, don't know. Enjoyed our two night stay. Some road noise but park was well kept, pleasant. Passport America rates make it a good value. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Questa is a good central location to see Taos and the Enchanted Circle. This is a no-frills campground, but suited our needs fine. The owner is very friendly and helpful and is a wealth of local information. All utilities worked well, and their free WiFi was lightning fast. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sierra Hermosa. It's a small park with plans to enlarge in the future. Met the owner who lives up the hill from the park. He is very involved in his community and told us about the restoration of the local Catholic church which is open to tour during daylight hours. The staff in the office very friendly and helpful. Easy access to Taos and the Enchanted Circle. We visited both and especially enjoyed the Taos Pueblo. We loved our stay here because they are high enough that the weather was cool and delightful! Yes the sites are close together but everyone was so friendly that it didn't matter at all! We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 3 nights because there was a bike rally in Red River, 12 miles away. They are a Passport America park, but we couldn't use that because it was a holiday weekend. The site was almost level, water pressure and taste was good, Wifi was free and pretty good. We had 50 amp and our site wasn't a pullthrough, but we were able to use it as such because there was no one in the site behind us and the manager told us just to pull through. Verizon wireless was ok, not great, and DirecTV came in good. The park is all gravel and dirt, but nicely done. There is a small stream with a bridge over it to the dumpster, and good views of tall mountains from our RV. We were pretty close to the edge of the road, but even with a bike rally, it was still pretty quiet. The owner/manager was very nice and came to make sure everything was good a couple of times. Even though it is all dirt and gravel, they have done a lot with rock gardens around the trees and a pretty 3-tiered large rock garden near the center of the park. There are fire pits every so often and a pond. We have stayed on the Enchanted Circle of New Mexico before, and I liked Questa for towing a big 5th wheel better than Angel Fire or Eagle Nest...the roads were easier to maneuver. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Taos is about 20 miles away, and the Rio Grande Gorge is well worth the drive...turn off at the intersection of 522/150 and 64 West onto 64 west and go 7 miles. Well worth the trip. We ate at Pats Cafe in Questa one day and the food was pretty good. There aren't a lot of restaurants in Questa. There is a lot to do in Red River and Eagle Nest and Angel Fire. We ate at Zebs in Angel Fire and liked the place.

Nice clean, newer park in the northern ski country of NM. No TV signal, but wifi works great with coverage throughout the park. All gravel park with level sites through out. Mixture of backing and pull throughs. Small stream runs through the park, horseshoes, and also a pond you can fish. Dollar general and small hardware store across the street. Cell service is poor for att and verizon. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Taos is about 30 minutes south, neat town with lots of shops and restaurants. Also check out the enchanted loop, 85 miles round trip through the mountains. As well the rio grande valley is within 15 miles with multiple trails.

Overall Rating:

Great new park, opened in 2014. Owner lives nearby and is on-site frequently. He's one of the most friendly and helpful park owner/managers you've ever met. Park infrastructure (electric, water, sewer) is excellent. 23 of the sites have 50 amp service. Campground wifi coverage is excellent; you can get a strong signal pretty much anywhere in the park. Wifi throughput varies depending on how many other people are using it, but it's usually much better than average. Level sites with enough space to maneuver a big rig easily. There is a small pond in one corner of the property, with a couple of large communal fire rings nearby. Although the park was probably 75% full when we stayed there, it was VERY quiet. Many of the RVs are occupied by folks who are working temporarily in the area, so we didn't see them much.

Sites 1-14 are the most desirable, as they are furthest from the highway and back up to scenic open space. We loved Site 8 - with the pond out our door-side windows and the mountains and open space out the back window, we hardly knew there were other RVs here.

At $28/night (regular rate) it's a good value, but the park will also accept Passport America for up to 6 nights. At $14/night it's a steal. They also have very reasonable weekly and monthly rates available. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There isn't much to do in Questa, other than the Enchanted Circle and convenient access to the northern section of the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument, which does have some spectacular views and lots of hiking trails. But, you're only 30 minutes from Taos and 20 minutes from Red River.
