Trying to find a slot at an RV park on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Lots of parks full. This one wasn't. They were about 2/3 full. Friendly, helpful owners. Slots are a little narrow, but room enough to put all 4 slides out. Had to make sure we positioned two slides to miss a tree. Owners very helpful getting us located and lined up. Friendly neighbors. Site was level, we pulled all the way through, gave plenty of room in the back for our tow vehicle. Easy off from I-25, easy on to US 87 when we headed for Amarillo. Owner offered suggestions on things to see and do in the area. Very satisfied with the service. Looks like new owners have painted a lot of the buildings on the property. We would stay here again. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park (formerly Kickback RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Sugarite (pronounced sugar-eet) State Park is about 10 miles away. Very nice state park. Lots of history (former coal mining area). Fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking. One camping area is dry camping with fantastic views.

Site was large enough for our 40' fifth wheel and tow vehicle. Site width was adequate (barely) for us to extend our four slides. Rate of $30 is for cash. Would have cost $34 if we used plastic. Easy on/off from interstate. Friendly herd of goats in adjoining pasture. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park (formerly Kickback RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Gravel road and gravel sites but that is ok since it was very clean. Level site, no jacking required. Owner was superb and seemingly very dedicated to customer service. Easy on-off to I-25 Interstate. Was guided to the site. Will camp here again if in the region. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park (formerly Kickback RV Park) in a Motorhome.

$30 for 30 amp FHU + $2 for 50 amp. Access is easy in/out from I-25, accommodates big rigs, good electricity, spacious sites, gravel roads. It’s a practical park without extra amenities. Location is close to I-25 with some/minimal road noise, walking distance to downtown Raton shopping. Sites are level, gravel, with grass in between. Lots of grass to walk pets. Free WiFi with average signal. Sites in front have some trees but they are tall, narrow, and don’t hang over sites so have minimal impediment to satellite reception. Owner lives on site, built campground in 2000, electricity has been updated since. We did not use the restrooms or showers but they looked fairly clean but dated with one shower per restroom. Laundry had 2 washers and 2 dryers. Signage directing to restrooms/laundry was lacking. Hodge-podge of picnic tables at sites. Buildings could use a coat of paint. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park (formerly Kickback RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Basic RV Park right next to I-25 with normal traffic noise. Park does have 50 Amp power, but does not allow electric heaters. There were signs saying "NO ELECTRIC HEATERS" and the owner repeated the prohibition. The night we were here, the low was 33 so heat was definitely needed. Sites were narrow but adequate to extend slides on both sides. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park (formerly Kickback RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We arrived later than usual for us, about 6:00pm, and the park was nearly empty. The manager was out so we parked ourselves in a level pull through and our 38' motorhome and truck in tow just fit. The gravel sites all appear very level. The free Wi-Fi was excellent. This park is fine for a one or two night stop. We would stay here again. Poorly maintained, junky looking, loud highway noise. High price for what they offered. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park (formerly Kickback RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Sites were unlevel, unimproved, campground was unkempt. Site dimensions were to center of driveway, very, very small. Definitely a Woodall rated three star. A lot of permanent residents which added to the unkempt conditions of park. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park (formerly Kickback RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.
