Road Runner in the best place in Red River to stay. Very friendly staff and camp host. Pretty close to downtown area but still far enough away. We stayed in the adult only section. The only drawback to that was not being able to have a campfire. But safety first and I kind of understand why. Rest rooms were clean and a good walk from the upper section. I did not mind the walk and got to meet a lot of campers on the way. We will definitely stay here on our return trip but will try to get a campsite on the lower section by the river. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed this RV park and the surrounding areas. Our site was in the "adult only" loop with very few other campers, so it was quiet, restful, and scenic. Children and campfires were not permitted in our loop, and since they both can occasionally be disturbing to folks our age, we were delighted with these rules. The lower loops do not have these restrictions. There is a nice dog run, plenty of activities for kids, but no swimming pool. The tennis court is a nice but seldom used facility. Many of the sites are not level, so be prepared to make adjustments. Our loop appeared to have significantly more room at each site and between sites. WIFI and cable TV were reliable during our stay. Utilities were well placed and worked without any problems. Be careful navigating the interior roads as they are narrow with sharp turns and big trees in some places. These roads are smooth and paved, however. We stayed 5 nights and will stay here again when in the Red River area. Management is efficient, very friendly and supportive. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

There is a lot to do in town and the surrounding areas depending on your interests. Don't forget that the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument is not far away and offers scenic surprises with a startling environmental contrast to the Red River area.

Beautiful park in a beautiful place. Nice sites, quiet and good quality rv park. Only downsides were very poor Wi-Fi, good strength just doesn't work 85% of time. Also they charge $5 per day for extra vehicles, but that includes motorcycles with no extra trailers or space. We have what amounts to a cruiser lift on the back of our rig, the bike fit well within the space and they still charged extra.... Not sure why that would be necessary. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Best place in town but they know it and charge for it and shouldn't add additional charges on top of that.

Our family has stayed at this campground many times over the years. By far the best RV Park in Red River. Customer service ... outstanding, although the registration process seems to be new to the employees as it was confusing and required multiple phone calls to sort out the exact details and make sure the right site and dates were confirmed. Firewood was delivered to the site, and stacked. Would give the Park a higher rating but they simply lack some amenities we expect at a top rated park. This is a really good RV Park, well worth the price. I am sure it will only get better over time. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I think calling this a resort as it is now is a push, BUT it is one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. By far it is the nicest park in the area.
We were at the east end of the park on the river. Listening to that bubbling river is so calming it is hard to describe, the drawback is the permanent houses on the north side of the river. No one was home so it didn't take away peacefulness of those sites. No pool, no spa but a campfire and a river surrounded by pine trees Is what "camping" is all about for use. The only negative was in 5 days we never had a useable wifi signal. They said it was the internet company but they had signal at the office. Not sure who was to blame, but we lived. Would certainly go back again and recommend it to all. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed several nights and it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, day or night. The spaces are gravel, fairly level and the water, lights and sewer are centrally located to the trailer hook-up. The only thing I would comment on negatively was the cable TV. It was just about non-existent. Other than that, it was a beautiful park. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV Resort is truly a resort. Red River is a great place to stay, but this campground brings the beauty of the forest and the thrill of Red River together with it's friendly hosts, owners, and workers. It is so clean, and organized! So much to do... tennis, golf, basketball, swings, playground, walking and biking paths, horseshoes, deer watching, and the sound of the river that goes through the entire park is totally relaxing. Will come again, and again, and tell everyone I know about this park. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed at Roadrunner RV over the Memorial Day holiday, and generally the campgrounds were about 50% occupied. But, the biker rally in town for the holiday made the town feel max'd out. While the Resort has a few nice amenities, it lacks a pool and hot tub. You would expect these at a 10 rated park. WiFi worked, but slow. Saw the Resort now offers cable TV, but we did not use it. Resort grounds were fantastic, well cared for, and clean. Restrooms were spotless clean and updated since our last visit (painted). We were located in site 90 along the river, but has the power, water and sewer connects all the way to the back of the site. Bring extra lengths of water and sewer hoses for this site. A local BBQ restaurant provided a portable trailer on the grounds that served sandwiches. Met the new campground owners. Fantastic folks. Very high service philosophy. It was a nice touch that when we purchased firewood from the office for the evening, the manager had the wood delivered, unloaded and stacked near the fire pit. All in all, a campground worth visiting. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

You must try Mountain Treasurers in RR on the main street. A cup of Pinion coffee and a Kolache while you are in town is a must. Sundance is fantastic for Mexican food and located on a side street.

We really enjoyed our week stay. They have just recently reopened and have yet to join any of the discount programs and did not give a weekly rate. The WiFi was down for a couple of days, but worked well when it was up and running. Verizon 4G was also available on our modem. We found the cable channel selection adequate and were surprised that we were able to get satellite signal with all the trees and the steep mountains. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The cost was really the only downside for us. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This campground reopened under new owners in June of 2014. While the sites are very similar to years past, the service is much less than we expected. The campground is charging premium prices for the area, but the premium services are just not there. They do not tell you when making reservations that the cable system has been very degraded, and internet (also cable supplied) is mostly non-existent. We had to go into Red River several times to make the online payments and get email. Most important, they do not discount the prices for this lack of service, and do NOT tell you there is NO refund if you decide to leave early. If they would tell you these things in advance, it would be easier to accept these issues. When speaking with the campground staff, they were aware of the issue, but seemed to be unable to do anything about it due to the owner. I will be watching for next years updates to see if these issues have been resolved. It will be a major factor in deciding if we return again next year. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Roadrunner RV Resort has reopened as of June 1, 2014. New very nice owner (previous owner was a jerk) and extremely courteous park hosts. This park has a little of everything for everybody. Nice trees, beautiful flowing stream, and cool mountain air. All sites are full hookup with most sites 30 amp and a few 50 amp. We staying in August at the $900 monthly rate. I would have rated this park a 10 but for the weak Wi-Fi. The owners are working at this time to improve it. This is our favorite park and we already have reservations for next year. Love it! YEAH - Roadrunner is back! We used to stay here all the time, but the previous owner got harder to get along with each year. We quit coming because we refuse to pay money to be abused. The new owners are local business owners and have a customer is king approach to business. They reopened the part in June and are working hard to make it the best park in New Mexico. We had a site on the river that was perfect - good water, electric, cable (30 channels), and Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi stayed up the whole time we were there and was reasonably fast. There is also a special "Adults Only" section for those that want it. Campfires and canopy's are permitted. All of the staff went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. We will be back. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice, park with plenty of trees and shades. Be prepared to be stacked on top of each other! Very little space (maybe 8-10 feet) between camp sites. Not a lot of space to hang out. Felt like sardines. Restrooms were well maintained, cleaned and large. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.

We had stayed at this park years ago until it closed to short term campers. We were so glad to hear it had re-opened. Kudos to the new owners, they are doing a great job of customer service and park upkeep. We stayed here on Labor Day weekend with the park being pretty much full but they did a great job of managing the number of campers. Check in was very smooth. Departure from the park was managed very professionally with 3 people in the parking lot as we exited processing folks so we didn’t have to leave our vehicle (this was probably only a holiday weekend process). We stayed in the upper loop where fires are not allowed but that was ok with us. The upper loop has a little more elbow room between sites. Water and electric were consistent. We had a trailer with off-road toys which they provided a space for us to park it in (there was a small fee for the extra vehicle/trailer). The only reason for the 9 vs.10 rating was that the Wi-Fi needs some updating. This is the best park in town and we are already looking at next year’s calendar for a return visit! We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We camped in site 33 which was considered a river site. Overall the park is very nice. However, it appears that tree trimming is needed - too many low branches and trees in the way. We also found that one of the desk help was a bit on the crabby side. Sadly we learned that the park is being changed to long term rentals next year, and it is doubtful that we would stay here for the 1-4 month periods that are being offered. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
