We stayed several nights and it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, day or night. The spaces are gravel, fairly level and the water, lights and sewer are centrally located to the trailer hook-up. The only thing I would comment on negatively was the cable TV. It was just about non-existent. Other than that, it was a beautiful park. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV Resort is truly a resort. Red River is a great place to stay, but this campground brings the beauty of the forest and the thrill of Red River together with it's friendly hosts, owners, and workers. It is so clean, and organized! So much to do... tennis, golf, basketball, swings, playground, walking and biking paths, horseshoes, deer watching, and the sound of the river that goes through the entire park is totally relaxing. Will come again, and again, and tell everyone I know about this park. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed at Roadrunner RV over the Memorial Day holiday, and generally the campgrounds were about 50% occupied. But, the biker rally in town for the holiday made the town feel max'd out. While the Resort has a few nice amenities, it lacks a pool and hot tub. You would expect these at a 10 rated park. WiFi worked, but slow. Saw the Resort now offers cable TV, but we did not use it. Resort grounds were fantastic, well cared for, and clean. Restrooms were spotless clean and updated since our last visit (painted). We were located in site 90 along the river, but has the power, water and sewer connects all the way to the back of the site. Bring extra lengths of water and sewer hoses for this site. A local BBQ restaurant provided a portable trailer on the grounds that served sandwiches. Met the new campground owners. Fantastic folks. Very high service philosophy. It was a nice touch that when we purchased firewood from the office for the evening, the manager had the wood delivered, unloaded and stacked near the fire pit. All in all, a campground worth visiting. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

You must try Mountain Treasurers in RR on the main street. A cup of Pinion coffee and a Kolache while you are in town is a must. Sundance is fantastic for Mexican food and located on a side street.

We really enjoyed our week stay. They have just recently reopened and have yet to join any of the discount programs and did not give a weekly rate. The WiFi was down for a couple of days, but worked well when it was up and running. Verizon 4G was also available on our modem. We found the cable channel selection adequate and were surprised that we were able to get satellite signal with all the trees and the steep mountains. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The cost was really the only downside for us. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This campground reopened under new owners in June of 2014. While the sites are very similar to years past, the service is much less than we expected. The campground is charging premium prices for the area, but the premium services are just not there. They do not tell you when making reservations that the cable system has been very degraded, and internet (also cable supplied) is mostly non-existent. We had to go into Red River several times to make the online payments and get email. Most important, they do not discount the prices for this lack of service, and do NOT tell you there is NO refund if you decide to leave early. If they would tell you these things in advance, it would be easier to accept these issues. When speaking with the campground staff, they were aware of the issue, but seemed to be unable to do anything about it due to the owner. I will be watching for next years updates to see if these issues have been resolved. It will be a major factor in deciding if we return again next year. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Roadrunner RV Resort has reopened as of June 1, 2014. New very nice owner (previous owner was a jerk) and extremely courteous park hosts. This park has a little of everything for everybody. Nice trees, beautiful flowing stream, and cool mountain air. All sites are full hookup with most sites 30 amp and a few 50 amp. We staying in August at the $900 monthly rate. I would have rated this park a 10 but for the weak Wi-Fi. The owners are working at this time to improve it. This is our favorite park and we already have reservations for next year. Love it! We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Motorhome.

YEAH - Roadrunner is back! We used to stay here all the time, but the previous owner got harder to get along with each year. We quit coming because we refuse to pay money to be abused. The new owners are local business owners and have a customer is king approach to business. They reopened the part in June and are working hard to make it the best park in New Mexico. We had a site on the river that was perfect - good water, electric, cable (30 channels), and Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi stayed up the whole time we were there and was reasonably fast. There is also a special "Adults Only" section for those that want it. Campfires and canopy's are permitted. All of the staff went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. We will be back. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice, park with plenty of trees and shades. Be prepared to be stacked on top of each other! Very little space (maybe 8-10 feet) between camp sites. Not a lot of space to hang out. Felt like sardines. Restrooms were well maintained, cleaned and large. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.

We had stayed at this park years ago until it closed to short term campers. We were so glad to hear it had re-opened. Kudos to the new owners, they are doing a great job of customer service and park upkeep. We stayed here on Labor Day weekend with the park being pretty much full but they did a great job of managing the number of campers. Check in was very smooth. Departure from the park was managed very professionally with 3 people in the parking lot as we exited processing folks so we didn’t have to leave our vehicle (this was probably only a holiday weekend process). We stayed in the upper loop where fires are not allowed but that was ok with us. The upper loop has a little more elbow room between sites. Water and electric were consistent. We had a trailer with off-road toys which they provided a space for us to park it in (there was a small fee for the extra vehicle/trailer). The only reason for the 9 vs.10 rating was that the Wi-Fi needs some updating. This is the best park in town and we are already looking at next year’s calendar for a return visit! We camped in site 33 which was considered a river site. Overall the park is very nice. However, it appears that tree trimming is needed - too many low branches and trees in the way. We also found that one of the desk help was a bit on the crabby side. Sadly we learned that the park is being changed to long term rentals next year, and it is doubtful that we would stay here for the 1-4 month periods that are being offered. We really like this RV park. We had 3 sites on the river and had a great trip. Unfortunately we found out when we arrived that this is our last time to be able to stay here because the 2012 season starts seasonal (4 months) or monthly rentals only (and no monthly sites are on the river! This information really put a damper on our stay. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here for four nights and enjoyed the Red River running by our camp site. I had read some reviews about the staff being rude, but found the office staff friendly and that the attendants cared about their resort. I would have rated the park higher except for the bears. They would raid the dumpsters every night at 1:00am and then roam the camp sites. I know this is camping but being in tent trailer with bears walking under your bunk is a little scary. They need to move their dumpsters away from the camp sites to the back of the park. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.

This is a very unfriendly park. First of all, you have to make reservations by check, by mail. When we got to the park we had to shorten our stay by a few days but we still had to pay for the "reserved" dates. You cannot call in to change your dates because they must be done by mail. So, make sure you know them carved in stone before you send in your check. You cannot ride bikes in this park. I was threatened that they would call the police if I did not get off my bike and walk to my trailer. They are very rude. We will never stay here again! Buyer beware! There are other really nice parks in this area. This is a shame because this could be a really nice park: but the people make it terrible! We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a gated RV resort and they do have strict rules that they expect you to follow. You have to put up a $10.00 deposit for a gate key and a $10.00 deposit for a bathroom key that is refundable. They charge $1.00 per day per pet and we travel with two dogs, so that was added in. All said and done, the total for two nights was $124.00, $20.00 of which was refunded at checkout, so it is a rather pricey place to stay. That said, this is the quietest park we have stayed at in a long time. We were in a site parallel to the Red River that we caught trout from. There are lots of trees and lots of chipmunks. The showers were super large and very clean. If you are hauling four wheelers or off road vehicles, you have to park them in a separate area, for a charge of course, and they are very strict on not letting them be ridden in the park. We will return if in the Red River area. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
