Quiet! Best kept and best looking small RV park we have ever visited. Laundry and LOTS of eye candy. Utilities well placed, site boundries well marked. Without asking a handful of brochures on local attractions was provided. FAST wi-fi at all times during our two day stay. Couple of tight turns getting to park but nothing our 38 foot and towing couldn't handle. Google maps has good view of park entry and layout. Best price we could find in Ruidoso, NM area and still be close to the attractions. Host/owner led us to our site. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very well-kept park w/ attentive owners. Staff met us upon check-in and drove us to our site in her golf cart w/ instructions for parking. Hummingbirds and butterflies everywhere in the park. Beautiful landscaping. Library has cable TV to watch and also books & DVD's that you can take to your RV. Small clean laundry available ($2/load). Sites are level, good water pressure from well system. Able to walk dogs on grass w/o concerns about getting burrs in their feet. Paid the weekly rate which I believe was $150 + electric. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Motorhome.

One of the nicest RV parks we have ever stayed at. Clean, beautiful, well maintained...a little slice of heaven. All sites are level pull through with shade. Site surface was gravel and featured a picnic table. Great birding too. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the best Rv Park we have ever stayed at! And that is saying a lot since we are full timers, and have been across the country and back. Well landscaped and clean. Large property full of little surprises located around the grounds. Always see something hidden in the bushes when you go on a walk. Owners are just wonderful. We were invited to watch a bat being released back into the wild, owners assist in a rescue program. Park is a 50 and over, everyone is so nice. We felt extremely safe here. Totally recommend. I have not problem with a 10 for this RV park. My 9 is based on those that might want cable or antenna TV which is absent here. Our Dish satellite worked fine. Their wifi was excellent. This is a small park (15 sites) so reserve early. It is about 24 miles from Ruidoso. We highly recommend this park. The staff (owner?) were especially helpful. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The most pristine park we have ever stayed in. Sites level, roomy, with tree and picnic table at every site. It is a very quiet park limited to campers 50 years and older. No television reception, but camp has a large selection of dvd's that can be borrowed overnight and wifi was good. 6000 feet elevation guarantees cool days and nights even in August. Owners of this 13-site campground were wonderful to talk to and were working constantly on the grounds and flower bushes. I highly recommend this campground. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small quiet RV park for older folks. The sites are all level spacious pull throughs. The owners live on site and keep everything immaculate. The park is 15 miles from Ruidoso and we would stay here again. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very accommodating hosts in this nice small park. Owners developed and built it. Easy to get in/out, good hookups, fine scenery. Lots to do in Ruidosa area but this park doesn't jamb you in door to door like those in town. Bring your pitching wedge and practice on their mini driving range.

No cable and cell up on the hiway. I couldn't get TV reception w/antenna. Rec room w/lots of books and DVDs. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great place. Small and everyone very friendly. We stayed for a week and very quiet with elk coming down in the pasture around park at night. Would stay again. Very very clean.

Everything worked perfectly. Easy access to all spots. I believe there was a total of 25 spots. Spots all had picnic tables with shelters over 1/2 of them. Nice library with a TV area We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed one month at this 50+ senior campground; 16 miles from the nearest town (Ruidoso) with shopping, groceries, restaurants and other amenities. We enjoyed the very quiet atmosphere as it was just the place we were looking for to rest for a while. It's probably not the place for those who are unable to entertain themselves, though there are opportunities for sightseeing day trips in the area. Extensive collection of DVDs in the clubhouse, with a picnic area outside where those staying at the park can socialize. The two end sites are the most spacious, and well worth the $50 upcharge on the monthly rate. The remaining sites reasonably spaced apart. A picnic table and grill are at each site. The hosts -- Denise and Roy -- are very friendly and helpful, and work all day everyday to maintain clean and manicured grounds. If unused to drinking well water, bring bottled water unless you're set up to filter the water from the tap. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Drive into Ruidoso for lunch at the Corner Bakery, visit Fort Stanton (don't miss the Merchant Marine Cemetery), visit the Hubbard Museum of the American West, drive up to the Inn of the Mountain Gods and walk around Mescalero Lake on the Apache Reservation ... other sightseeing opportunities as well.

What a gem! This is a very well maintained campground, with a friendly and helpful owner to check us in. The road was gravel. Our gravel pad was a very spacious, and level pull through, plenty of space for our towed, and we also had a picnic table. Big rig access might be a little tight for anything bigger than our forty footer, so best to unhook before you enter the gate. The campground is set on eight manicured acres, colorful rose bushes and shrubs are everywhere, as well as plenty of bird boxes and hummingbird feeders. Shade trees with benches are scattered around the site. Lots of grass to walk your pet on as well as doggie bags. Very quiet and tranquil. We had superb views of the surrounding hills and mountains. The rec. room was well stocked with books and dvd's; and the bathroom and laundry were spotless. WiFi was good but cell was spotty. It's about 13 miles into Ruidoso, so plenty of food shops, restaurants and sightseeing. The owners have worked very hard to make this a wonderful "Senior Community" campground, and pride of ownership shows. We would stay here again. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is our second stay at this park. You can't find one any cleaner and well maintained. The park is small but the 15 sites are all pull thru with plenty of room to park a vehicle beside your RV. Each site has a picnic table and mailbox and most have some shade. The mountain views are a bonus. The Wi-Fi works well, however this time our AT&T phone service was spotty, which isn't unusual in the mountains. The owners take pride in their park and are friendly and accommodating to their guests. We will definitely stay here when in the area. Rate includes 50 amp hookup. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were only able to stay a week here and wished we could have stayed longer. The owners are very friendly and gave us lots of tips on places to visit and recommendations on restaurants. The campground, rec room (which is full of books and DVDs) and laundry room are SPOTLESS!!! There has been extra care taken in planting of trees, rose bushes and the buildings are very colorful and quaint. There are many hummingbirds and a hummingbird feeder was provided to us so we could enjoy the birds from our site. Very quiet and relaxing - saw a herd of elk early one morning!!! Park internet was good, VZ phone and internet also worked well. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park with 15 sites. Owners were on hand, helpful and guided us to our site. Sites are extra large and all are pull-throughs. Wi-Fi worked great. This is a senior's park - quiet and extra clean. Nice area to walk dogs. Views are beautiful of the mountains. This is our second visit and would have stayed longer, but they were booked. I cannot complain about the facilities, they were impeccably clean!! Only one washer and drier though, and had to use their soap, which was measured out in a shot glass. I was questioned as to my religion, which I thought was TOTALLY inappropriate!!!! It was a senior park which did not allow our friends to visit, which we understood, no problem there. But the person who registered us there almost tried to convince us to not stay there, which I was surprised by and I told that person so. I was so nervous that I would break a rule that I carried the rules sheet around with me. Loved the peace and quiet, but was told that guests were "heavily screened" to keep out the riff-raff, again understandable, but by whose definition of "riff-raff"? Does religion make a difference? We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
