Rate was with 10% GoodSam discount. No sales or lodging tax. Campground is simply a flat gravel/dirt parking lot with no trees or amenities, located along the access road to US 285. On the positive side, each site is easy access for big rigs and all sites are pull-thrus with FHU. I would guess all sites are approx 30'x70', so spacing is better than most parks like this and you probably won't have to disconnect it simply stopping for the night. However, since it is basically a dirt/gravel parking lot, I doubt you will be spending much time outside on your site.

This park is convenient as a base to Sante Fe, Bandelier, National Forest trails, casinos, etc. If you can, get a site in row 6 (600 series site numbers), at least the front windows of your motorcoach will have desert views and you will be furthest from Highway 285. The on site manager is friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if passing thru the area, as the price is fine for 50 amp FHU. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

We found the park to suit our needs as a convenient base for visiting the parks and historic sites in the area. The sites are larger than we've ever come across. Very clean and neat. Quiet at night. Easy access. There is a service station next to the park that offers diesel. There are restaurants, hardware, and groceries just across the road. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

RV Park is very large. Like mentioned in other reviews, it has no restrooms, shower facalities, etc. Electricity, water and sewer are well located. Sites are very large. Good areas for pets but desert plants may have sharp spines. Very low key with friendly management. Great value as all other Santa Fe RV parks with electricity are almost twice the money. Good Roadrunner cafe located withing walking distance. Excellent breakfast burrito. Diesel at the next ramp towards Santa Fe is inexpensive compared to the rest. Diesel pumps are in the rear of the station. Highway noise not bad if you take a spot at the back of the park. Some residents may be long term and go to work early in the morning. OAT TV is OK, nothing special. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

This place must have been improved since the last reviews because I had none of the complaints that others have made. The name of the game here is convenience and value. This is a bare-bones, parking lot style RV park with no restrooms, no showers, no amenities. The sites are level, gravel, and enormous. You can easily park a big rig, a couple cars, and maybe even a utility trailer and still have room for your lawn chairs within your site. Every site is FHU and the utilities are properly situated and work well. Other reviewers complained of weeds. There is typical desert scrub, but nothing that I would complain about. Perhaps the landscape maintenance has been improved since the last reviews which were over a year ago. My dog's not fussy. He's fine with gravel and scrub. Some others may not like it. There is a gas station with a well-stocked convenience store and a Subway right next door. There is also a free shuttle bus service to the two large casinos just a mile or so away. Yes, it's right along the highway, and yes, you will get some road noise, but that also makes it very convenient to get anywhere in the area. At just short of $30 per night with Good Sam, it's a heck of a deal in my opinion. The wi-fi was often slow and sporadic, but there was a strong Verizon signal. We are making it our base to visit Santa Fe, Taos, Los Alamos, and the surrounding area which is rich in places to go and things to see and do. Wouldn't hesitate to come back. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Truck Camper.

We stayed 2 nights passing through the area to visit the nearby National Park Service sites. The park is a several miles North of Santa Fe in the Pueblo of Pojoaque on a reservation. But the drive is fairly easy if you avoid going through Santa Fe (use the by-pass). The park is off an access road that is directly parallel to the main highway. But there wasn't much traffic noise. For being on a reservation associated with 2 casinos the park is very disappointing. It was very primitive offering no amenities. The layout of the park required a 180 degree turn from the office to get into the row where our site was located. Fortunately, the area in front of the office was wide enough to make the turn while connected to the toad. And the exit route required a sharp 90 degree turn to face the road. Very difficult for larger motorhomes. All of the sites are pull throughs that were long enough to remain connected to the toad if needed. There was an escort to the site. The interior roads and site parking pads are compacted gravel. The interior roads are narrow with tight turns. As the park was built on sloping field, it showed the park didn't completely understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as some of the sites had a slight 2 directional pitch potentially creating a leveling problem. Distance establishes privacy between the sites but they were generally wide enough to park 2 vehicles abreast. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. Along the 200's row, the utility connections were spread out along the site. The sewer connect was on the uphill end & side of the site making it difficult to establish a downhill flow. Don't remember there being an outside table or fire pits at the sites. No trees so satellite reception was good. The park brochure didn't mention any broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. The park provided WiFi was poor at best. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. None of the structures in the park were identified as a severe weather shelter. We would probably not stay here again. The office was very small. It was only open 8 to 5. The park was close to being full every night we were there. The extended stay sites detracted from the overall appear of the park. There was a shuttle to either of the two casinos.

Park is conveniently located between Santa Fe, Bandolier and Los Alamos which are all great places to visit. The water and electricity all worked well. Spaces are wide and allow enough area to park your vehicle. There are no trees at all so your satellite TV will work. Check in staff was friendly and efficient.

The Cons: Other reviews have said it all. This is primarily a gravel lot, covered with weeds and goatheads with no ambiance at all. Weeds were up to the steps of the RV, as well as up to the bench of the picnic table. The internet, although included, was weak and inconsistent. Generally, although it would connect, nothing would load. Nothing. Thankfully, there is a McDonalds across the highway when we had business on the internet that needed to be taken care of. NO TV reception over your antenna. No cable available.

We would not stay here again. In fact, we would've left after the first night if we had not already paid for our full stay. Way overpriced for what services are provided. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed a day in Los Alamos where all of the museums are free to visit. That was a really nice touch. Be sure to have lunch at "The Shed" in Santa Fe, just off the Plaza. True New Mexican food at its best.

Gravel sites with tall weeds, goatheads, and red ants. Mostly full-timers. A few junk campers looked to be abandoned. Good location for visiting Santa Fe but they need to hire someone to landscape. Do not bring pets here because of conditions. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped overnight on the way to Colorado. Nothing but a gravel parking lot with full hookups. Grass and weeds were high all around the area. The wi fi was nonexistant.

The folks who checked us in were very nice. That was the only positive thing about this park. Pricey for what you get unless you are just interested in being close to the casinos. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a large gravel parking lot that's great for overnight or a few days stay to rest and visit the casinos. Easy on/of the highway and fuel is right near the entrance to the park. There are 2 large casinos within a couple of miles and plenty of shops and restaurants. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

No rating on Service because we checked in after 5:00 PM, used the office drop and were out of there early in the morning. Other reviewers have said it all; uneven sites, rutted roads; however, the power was spot on and water pressure constant. I'll add that you shouldn't take your pet or yourself outside for very long because there are bull thorns or goat heads, whatever, everywhere, and you'll spend the next hour or so pulling them all out. Most everything around is closed although there was a food truck right at the entrance and there is a gas station next door. We will probably not be back unless we're stuck for a place to stay. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

The previous reviewer was spot-on with the review of this park. Basically just a big gravel parking lot with a very friendly and helpful manager, but with great access to area attractions without the traffic of Santa Fe. Sites are very wide, enough to park your tow vehicle along side our RV. Nothing fancy, and remember no restrooms, but for us a great location made up for any shortcomings. Pojoaque Pueblo, Santa Fe address, so the CG is 15 miles north of Santa Fe on US285. There is a "Relief Route" around Santa Fe, US599 and it makes much easier, less stressful, driving to avoid the narrow and congested drive through Santa Fe. The CG manager is very friendly and helpful, has a printed list of sites of interest in the area. The CG is gravel with RR ties separating sites, plenty of room and mostly level, big rig friendly. This time of the year the winds are a factor here, batten down the hatches. True there are not restrooms, showers or laundry on site...not a big deal. When you stay here you have access to two casinos and bargain meals on their club cards. There is also free access to the amenities at the Cities of Gold Hotel/Casino. All of this is owned and operated by the Pojoaque Tribe and they provide a nice place to stay. The CG is patrolled each day picking up stuff that flies around in the winds and making certain all is secure. Some RVers may want more but this is a great place to kick back and tour the countryside...for instance, Los Alamos is a fairly short drive away, Pecos National Historic Park and Bandelier National Monument an easy day trip. Shopping available in downtown Santa Fe. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Pick up a National Parks guide pamphlet and take your time, enjoy the history surrounding Santa Fe. Downtown Santa Fe is rife with places to shop, shops and stores everywhere.

Taos is a long drive but worth the trip over the "High Road" going, and returning down the Rio Grande Gorge and through Espanola.

Stayed here a week and if I hadn't paid for a week would have left sooner. thankfully it was cool because there is no shade, sites not level and rutted , no cable available, and little or no reception with out it. WiFi was a joke very weak signal and was so slow took several minutes just to load a single site, impossible to load and watch anything online. Busy street out front so there is traffic noise, There was nightly drive thru by the police ????? We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great location for seeing the local sites, easy in and out. The site was gravel, good for the area, keeping dust and mud down. Wi-Fi was only negative, didn't reach in all areas of the park and reception was up and down. They could use improvement here as we all travel with devices. TV reception is limited but adequate. Staff was friendly, helpful to tell of places to see and happenings in the area. We would come here if traveling again in the area. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
