We visit this rv park 2-3 times a year. It is normally very clean but this time we noticed significant trash under the bushes at our campsite. Additionally, we were parked close to the clubhouse and the farolitos that usually light up the tops of the stucco walls surrounding the patio area were melted and completely ruined, yet had not been cleaned off the building. It looked very bad, very messy. We brought both issues to the attention of the office workers halfway thru our week long stay, but nothing was done to clean things up. For the increased prices, we hope they act to keep the park clean. It is a beautiful location and the staff is pleasant. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times in the past and have always enjoyed our visits. The value rating is for the Festival fee we were charged for arriving on the last day of the Balloon Festival (Oct. 15, 2018). We didn't attend the Festival but were charged the extra $39.00 per night for the rest of the 4 nights we spent at the campground. We were told that the extra fee was to pay for extra help for services and cleanup for the caravans during the festival. Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

At the edge of town, but beautiful night skies. Fairly close to many activities and Old Town. We went to Prairie Dog Glass where you can learn glass blowing and purchase beautiful glassware. Cacao Santa Fe is a chocolate lovers paradise. Try the sipping bar for a sip of almost heaven hot chocolate and then see chocolate made in their kitchen. Don't miss the variety of foods and veggies at the Santa Fe Market. We have seen most of the museums over the years so choose what interests you.

Overall Rating:

About 8 miles south of Santa Fe Plaza, Santa Fe Skies RV Park is an interesting place to spend a few days and see the very cool local sights. The main drive in is paved, but the rest of the roads and sites are dirt/clay. Main group of sites are up on the top of the hill near the office and are typical slanted side by side pull-thrus. The rest of the sites, and the one we were assigned are scattered down the hill to the east in what they call the Yucca Zone on a maze of side roads. Truly need a map to navigate and some of the turns are tight. Odd layout and our pull thru was curved around a terrace wall which required quite a bit of back and forth to get the rig close to the concrete patio (a must as the ground turns to sticky red mud when it rains). Utilities works fine, good power, water pressure. Cable available, no trees to block satellite reception. Very nice view of the NM high dessert. The Yucca sites are spaced nicely giving a bit of room and privacy. Only bathhouse is at the office, which meant the Yucca folks had a bit of a schlep up the hill. WiFi was OK and ATT was good. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Old Santa Fe is a very picturesque and historic place to visit...and it appeared that everyone else thought so too. Crowded with tourists and very hard to find parking. Very nice restaurants, but very long waits (45-60min) for tables. Lots of NM shops offering Indian trinkets and chili spices. Loads of shopping 3 miles away on Cerillos road. Very good NM food at El Comal (no wait ;)

Good place to stay if you're visiting Santa Fe and surrounding areas. We were on Aster Street and were satisfied with out site at the end of the road. Nice level site but we narrow sites, we were very close to each other. Concrete pad with small table and two chairs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was when it rained one day during our stay the dirt was washed onto the patio and our rug. No cable. There is a lot of metal artwork so gave the appearance of being a little bit junky. Everything we did tended to be to the north so from SF Skies it made the drive a little farther. We would stay here again. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Site not level, roads narrow and difficult for a 40' mh to navigate. I was in a buddy site end to end. Fortunately no one came into the other site otherwise I would of had to back out onto a nasty little slope. If I moved forward I would not have been able to exit directly. Select a site up above by the office. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Was a bit concerned after looking at Google Earth, some YouTube videos and some pictures, but was very pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The place was packed due to Fiesta time just finishing up, but we booked early and were placed in a great site (Aster 8) at the end of a row with great views and a table/chairs and patio on BOTH sides of the site. Excellent patios, utilities, landscaping. In fact, we saw landscapers out every single day doing some amazing things. Their written materials are excellent (local info), except they indicate you might be able to get 4 or 5 over the air TV stations, but we received over 30 digital channels over the air. The 'row' sites at the north/west are very nice, long and ample room width-wise (there were some huge rigs, Prevosts and such, here and appeared to have enough room). Most of the other 'open area' sites to the south/west (Yucca) looked great, lots of space between them, open area views.....but some were very short (Yucca 1-15). Very nice place overall. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park Is very convenient to I-25 but far enough away that we didn't hear any road noise. The roads and sites are gravel with a concrete patio at each site. We were in a pull-thru site but there are also back-in sites available. Our site was not very long so we had to park our truck sideways in front of it. No cable, but we pulled in lots of stations OTA. We had 3 bars 4G of ATT. The park WiFi is so-so. It worked one minute, then wouldn't connect a few minutes later. They have an off-leash dog park, a walking trail around the park, and some interesting art work and antique pieces scattered throughout. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here for a week while visiting in the area. This is a good park in a great location. It is family owned and operated. Located a mile off I-25 on the south side of town (8 miles from the old central plaza). Quiet location with some views. Main drive is concrete, rest of park is gravel/dg. Most sites are pull thru, but there are some backins. Nice dog park. 3/4 mile walking path around park perimeter. Utilities worked well. Lots of interesting antiques and artwork scattered throughout. Our site (W3) was long and wide. Had a concrete patio with a picnic table. As an aside, this is not a 'resort'. There is no pool and not much on site for kids. But it is a great base for sightseeing in the area. We would return if we find ourselves in the area again. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

8 miles from the old central plaza in downtown Santa Fe. Park is about 12-14 miles from the old town of Madrid - probably most famous for the movie "Wild Hogs" with John Travolta and Tim Allen. Now a thriving artist community. Interesting shops and a couple of tasty restaurants. Easy drive to the Sandia Crest. Several good golf courses in the area - we recommend Cochiti Lake Golf Club.

It's the best place in town but there is a lot of rood for improvement. My site was so off level and narrow I had to manually level my coach so my step didn't crash into the cement patio slab. I couldn't move over because the sewer pipe was in the way. The landscaping vegetation looks trashy and in need of a major cleanup. Some of the roads need grading, I had to drive through the site in front of me to exit easily. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

This continues to be a nice campground when visiting Santa Fe. Just far enough to be quiet and close enough to get to all major site seeing spots within a short drive. Local (New Mexico style) food is abundant and read reviews. Restaurants that have been in business for 25+ years is always a good pick. My only issue is our site was not level (left to right) and could not make it perfect and lived with a leaning floor for two days. I will request a spot near the top next time, and Yes, next time as we like the campground this much. Bathrooms and showers are spotless. Staff is friendly and helpful. Free coffee in the morning is always appreciated. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly and very helpful staff. It is a quit campground during night hours, no road noise. Rates are acceptable but unfortunately becoming rather expensive after July first for the offered amenities. Sites differ a lot in size. Spotless restrooms and showers. Wi-Fi ok (check the Wi-Fi page on their website for additional information). Complimentary 'Keurig' coffee, tea and choco all day! The nicest sites are on 'Yucca', but some are difficult to back-in. Easy access to interstate with mostly long pull thru sites. Staff friendly and helpful. Park on a mesa with walking path around park and nice views of the surrounding mountains. Sculptures and old equipment was interesting. Plenty of clean restrooms and showers. Concrete slab with either picnic table or small metal table. Good antenna TV (PARK DOES NOT HAVE CABLE) and small trees do not restrict satellite. Interior roads and RV sites were all gravel with no grass. High winds and traffic create lots of dust. Weekly pull thru rate plus tax $41 but normal one day rate of $48 seemed high for a park with no cable and no activities or children area. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was hard to find initially. Check in process was excellent with the customer service person very friendly. Roads in the park are very narrow, hilly and gravel. The site I received was level and easy to back into. Service road behind my site had traffic at times that kicked up a lot of dust. Showers and rest area was clean. But no where to sit in the shower area or rest area. made putting on shoes difficult. The staff in the office were every friendly . The fee of $48 in off season was rather high. With a longer than 35' rig I would definitely get a pull through site which were basically a gravel parking lot. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.
