This is a great park with large sites and lots of space between sites. The little privacy fences are a nice touch. Utilities worked well and were placed together mid-site. Site and roads are gravel. Roads were very dusty (my only negative). The Wifi worked very well and also had a strong Verizon signal. Rate is Passport America and then Good Sam for additional night. We definitely would stay here again. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here 10 years ago and loved it. This park is a lot nicer than the other RV park in the center of town. It is a beautiful, treed, park like setting --- almost like a State Park. The roads and sites are gravel over dirt. Our site was dead level. The full hookups were flawless. The "very good" wifi was actually not so good but T-Mobile worked fine. The showers and baths were roomy and clean with lots of hot water. Our prior stay was in January. At that time, the ground and roads were slightly damp and dust free. On this trip in late April, the dust was too much. We couldn't wait to leave. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Very quit campground nearby center of town. Sites vary in size, but were all nicely separated by windscreens and vegetation. The four large private restroom/shower rooms were very clean. The Wi-Fi was good! About 15 TV-channels via the antenna. Quit a few permanent residents (who drive too fast). Anyone an idea why wind bells are allowed at a campground ... ? We will be back. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice park, probably the best in Silver City. Many sites give you the "feel" of being in a State Park and not a commercial R.V. park. Well landscaped, good roads, fixtures are all excellent and rest room facilities are cared for regularly. Friendly & helpful staff. Good central location. We got in after the office closed and found our packet taped to the office door. We had been placed in site 63, which we found easy enough, thanks to their packet and their site map. Site 63 is on the down slope of a hill. We spent an hour trying to get level, after we moved to site 73, which was open. There, we were able to get leveled on the first attempt. We checked in the next day, and there was no problem with our move. The interior roads are gravel, with the sites a mix of gravel and dirt. There was no problems getting everything connected. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Rose Valley is conveniently located off Route 180. The park was very quiet and the lots have far better than average privacy with fenced seating area and well place/pruned trees. I arrived after hours and they had my lot info taped to the office door. Everybody I encountered was very pleasant. Cell service was very good for AT&T and Sprint. The park wifi gives excellent coverage and better than average performance. If you are a MC enthusiast then you will love the ride up route 15 to the Gila Cliff Dwellings, plus lots of roads though the National Forests. I will be returning!

DO NOT use route 152 if coming in from I-25. This road has 2, 12' 8" bridges and is a mountain pass with extremely narrow roads that do not accommodate larger RVs. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The front office does not offer a store so make sure you bring the RV basics with you... all else can be had at the local stores. You can get to ACE, Walgreens, Albertsons, Griffins (propane) etc. all within a 5 minute drive.

We really liked the location of this park in relation to the Gila Cliff Dwellings and the "Catwalk". I highly recommend a visit to both sites. Our site was spacious, and we really liked the small patio/wind break to put our chairs into. The drawback was that our pull through site was quite a bit off level. We had to raise the passenger side of our trailer up 3", and the hitch had to be raised 8-1/2" to get level. On top of that, it had recently rained and the ground was very soft. Our levelers sank into the gravel/dirt mix and we had to relevel several times. I'd recommend that you bring some wood planks to help with leveling if the ground is damp. There is a cemetery right next to the park if that is an issue for you. There is no dog park to let your doggies run if needed. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Gila Cliff Dwellings and the "Catwalk". There are some nice Mexican restaurants down town. If you want to go on an extended day trip and worry about your dogs, there is a great solution. Town and Country Veterinary Clinic is located just across the street from the entrance to the RV park. They charge a very affordable $10 per day for doggie day care. You just need to plan you day so you're back by 5 pm to pick them up.

Propane within a mile; Walmart within 2 miles; various gas/diesel stations; seem to be quite a number of RV parks in the area, may be due to the high elevation. Never been there in the summer.

This park had somewhat level sites, on the back side there is a drop off so somewhat difficult to use your stabilizers. The hook ups were centrally located. The wifi and antenna worked just fine. The rest room was very clean and the shower had plenty of hot, hot water. One neat thing is they gave us a simple handout that was very useful explaining directions to hospital, urgent care, fuel, tire repair, rv repair, rv parts, LP, shopping, etc--it was very accurate and simple to use. This park is very dusty due to gravel interior roads and sites. Plan on getting dirty! Seems to be mostly long term residents but the sites are well kept. The sites are pretty darn long but not very level. We ended up with one front tire off the ground. There is quite a bit of room between sites. They have a small area on the side protected by a wood fence (I guess for the wind) but, oddly, there is no picnic table. The Wi-Fi was either screaming fast or not working at all. We were located right by a hotspot. Our friends right next to us couldn't even see the hotspot on any of their devices. Directv satellite worked fine. Verizon 4g 3 bars. It is fairly quiet as the park is a block or two off the main road. Our sites backed up to the Memory Lane cemetery - which is one of the most desolate looking cemeteries I've ever seen. There is not a blade of grass, and they obviously have drainage issues. We found the oddball fake flowers in our site that drifted over from the cemetery. It was a good location for visiting the Gila Cliff dwellings. We drove up 15 and returned on 35 through Mimbres. Both ways have beautiful scenery. The Gila Cliff dwellings are unusual in that you can hike right up and through most of them. Great outing! We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed four nights at this park while visiting the Silver City/Gila Cliff Dwellings area. Overall, the park is good. Our pull through site was spacious with enough room to park the tow vehicle in front or in back of our rig. Each site has a fenced sitting area giving you some privacy. The entire park is well kept; however, large shrubbery at the end of our site needed either removed or trimmed back. We couldn't make a right turn to vacate our site, and there was a very large rock on the opposite side, causing us to make a very wide left turn. Luckily, no cars were parked at the site opposite us. Our only real complaint about this park is the dust. All roads are gravel and are very, VERY dusty. First time we've had a view of a cemetery out our back window, but at least it was peaceful. Given the choices in the area, we would most likely stay here again when visiting Silver City. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

The owner is friendly and helpful. Nice clean park with gravel roads and sites. Some have tables. Most have privacy fencing. We drove by other parks in town and this is the best. The showers were covered in soap scum. Whom ever cleans them may think that won't come off. Because every where else was so clean. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Absolutely outstanding! We're here for the month (thus the $13/day rate) and will definitely return. Sites are very large, easy in and out. WiFi is fair, blazing close to the poles... Bathrooms/showers are spotless as well as the laundry (4 washers & 4 dryers). The park is extremely well maintained with foliage between sites and all around, not so much as to get in your way driving... Each site has it's own patio area with a rustic fence surrounding it. The "motif" is western. The park has a great deal of property & trails, great for walking the dogs. We've camped all over the country (we full-time) and this is one of the best! The park is close to town and walking distance to the grocery store! We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 5 days in a pull through site. The sites are VERY spacious with a wood fence and/or line of bushes separating sites. It is located almost in town, but you would not know it as the feeling is quite rural. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this park several times, never longer than a week. They seem to be going to mostly full time residents now. We were pushed into a "pull through" site, even though I specifically asked for a back-in. I was told that all the back in sites are being held for full time residents. Site 68 is not a "pull through" site for a bigger trailer. With our 32' fifth wheel I had to back out of it because of trees on the front side. We were charged extra for a "pull through" site I didn't want and then had to back out anyway because there was no room to turn the trailer on the front end. Some of the full timers are friendly enough, but others are not friendly at all. I think the park is managed by volunteer residents who may get a break on their rent for volunteering at the office. We may try the KOA next time after being unnecessarily pushed into a more expensive pull through site we didn't want. It wasn't the money, but more being made to feel like a second class citizen just because we aren't "full timers". We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.
