We stayed here 10 years ago and loved it. This park is a lot nicer than the other RV park in the center of town. It is a beautiful, treed, park like setting --- almost like a State Park. The roads and sites are gravel over dirt. Our site was dead level. The full hookups were flawless. The "very good" wifi was actually not so good but T-Mobile worked fine. The showers and baths were roomy and clean with lots of hot water. Our prior stay was in January. At that time, the ground and roads were slightly damp and dust free. On this trip in late April, the dust was too much. We couldn't wait to leave. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

A nice park, probably the best in Silver City. Many sites give you the "feel" of being in a State Park and not a commercial R.V. park. Well landscaped, good roads, fixtures are all excellent and rest room facilities are cared for regularly. Friendly & helpful staff. Good central location. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

We got in after the office closed and found our packet taped to the office door. We had been placed in site 63, which we found easy enough, thanks to their packet and their site map. Site 63 is on the down slope of a hill. We spent an hour trying to get level, after we moved to site 73, which was open. There, we were able to get leveled on the first attempt. We checked in the next day, and there was no problem with our move. The interior roads are gravel, with the sites a mix of gravel and dirt. There was no problems getting everything connected. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We really liked the location of this park in relation to the Gila Cliff Dwellings and the "Catwalk". I highly recommend a visit to both sites. Our site was spacious, and we really liked the small patio/wind break to put our chairs into. The drawback was that our pull through site was quite a bit off level. We had to raise the passenger side of our trailer up 3", and the hitch had to be raised 8-1/2" to get level. On top of that, it had recently rained and the ground was very soft. Our levelers sank into the gravel/dirt mix and we had to relevel several times. I'd recommend that you bring some wood planks to help with leveling if the ground is damp. There is a cemetery right next to the park if that is an issue for you. There is no dog park to let your doggies run if needed. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Gila Cliff Dwellings and the "Catwalk". There are some nice Mexican restaurants down town. If you want to go on an extended day trip and worry about your dogs, there is a great solution. Town and Country Veterinary Clinic is located just across the street from the entrance to the RV park. They charge a very affordable $10 per day for doggie day care. You just need to plan you day so you're back by 5 pm to pick them up.

Overall Rating:

This park is very dusty due to gravel interior roads and sites. Plan on getting dirty! Seems to be mostly long term residents but the sites are well kept. The sites are pretty darn long but not very level. We ended up with one front tire off the ground. There is quite a bit of room between sites. They have a small area on the side protected by a wood fence (I guess for the wind) but, oddly, there is no picnic table. The Wi-Fi was either screaming fast or not working at all. We were located right by a hotspot. Our friends right next to us couldn't even see the hotspot on any of their devices. Directv satellite worked fine. Verizon 4g 3 bars. It is fairly quiet as the park is a block or two off the main road. Our sites backed up to the Memory Lane cemetery - which is one of the most desolate looking cemeteries I've ever seen. There is not a blade of grass, and they obviously have drainage issues. We found the oddball fake flowers in our site that drifted over from the cemetery. It was a good location for visiting the Gila Cliff dwellings. We drove up 15 and returned on 35 through Mimbres. Both ways have beautiful scenery. The Gila Cliff dwellings are unusual in that you can hike right up and through most of them. Great outing! We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed four nights at this park while visiting the Silver City/Gila Cliff Dwellings area. Overall, the park is good. Our pull through site was spacious with enough room to park the tow vehicle in front or in back of our rig. Each site has a fenced sitting area giving you some privacy. The entire park is well kept; however, large shrubbery at the end of our site needed either removed or trimmed back. We couldn't make a right turn to vacate our site, and there was a very large rock on the opposite side, causing us to make a very wide left turn. Luckily, no cars were parked at the site opposite us. Our only real complaint about this park is the dust. All roads are gravel and are very, VERY dusty. First time we've had a view of a cemetery out our back window, but at least it was peaceful. Given the choices in the area, we would most likely stay here again when visiting Silver City. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

The owner is friendly and helpful. Nice clean park with gravel roads and sites. Some have tables. Most have privacy fencing. We drove by other parks in town and this is the best. The showers were covered in soap scum. Whom ever cleans them may think that won't come off. Because every where else was so clean. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed at this park several times, never longer than a week. They seem to be going to mostly full time residents now. We were pushed into a "pull through" site, even though I specifically asked for a back-in. I was told that all the back in sites are being held for full time residents. Site 68 is not a "pull through" site for a bigger trailer. With our 32' fifth wheel I had to back out of it because of trees on the front side. We were charged extra for a "pull through" site I didn't want and then had to back out anyway because there was no room to turn the trailer on the front end. Some of the full timers are friendly enough, but others are not friendly at all. I think the park is managed by volunteer residents who may get a break on their rent for volunteering at the office. We may try the KOA next time after being unnecessarily pushed into a more expensive pull through site we didn't want. It wasn't the money, but more being made to feel like a second class citizen just because we aren't "full timers". We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Biggest issue here was the lack of level sites. Most are on the side of gentle hill that made leveling an issue. Once I got moved to a bottom site, things were OK. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Very nice park; clean with helpful staff. Sites were very private as reported by previous reviewers. Conveniently located close to gas, groceries and Walmart. Short drive to historic downtown. Water, electric, and sewer were easy to use. Only complaint is the wifi. On the rare occasion that I could connect, the speed was so slow that it was unusable for even email. Office staff said a new system was hooked up yesterday and was supposed to be an improvement. If you can't provide a usable service - give up and reduce the price to reflect the lack of service. This is a nice park located a short distance off the main highway through Silver City and a short drive to the downtown historical district. The park employees were friendly and helpful. We had no problem navigating through the park in our motorhome with toad. The roads and sites are gravel over base. When the area received some much needed rain during our stay the dirt at the site became sticky mud making unhooking and departure rather messy. The park is situated on sloping land and it is obvious the attempt has been made to try to create level sites. But once our rig was leveled the front end was high and we had to use a small step stool to access our entry steps. The privacy fenced sitting area at the site was a nice ammenity. In spite of being located in town the park, adjacent to a cemetery, was very quiet. We made use of the centrally located recycling bins. Wifi never worked for us. We would stay here again if ever back in Silver City. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Bullard Street downtown Silver City is fun and funky with some very good restaurants and cute shops. Trail of the Mountain Spirits Scenic Byway is a beautiful winding drive up to the Gila Cliff Dwellings Nat'l Monument. Really fun to climb around on the rocks at Rock City State Park.

We stayed in the back row, with a view of the cemetery from our back window. It was very quiet. Nice, long pull through site, with plenty of room between sites and a little fence around the picnic table to provide some privacy. Nice laundry, helpful office staff. Our site was mixed gravel and dirt, as are the park roads. We arrived after rain, and the dirt turned into a greasy mud - very unpleasant. The WiFi did not work (they're trying to fix it), but our Verizon MiFi worked well. Office closes at 3:00pm - make reservations in advance if you plan to arrive after that. This is a Good Sam and Passport America park. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

While this park is not within walking distance of central Silver City, it makes up for it by being quiet, and nicely laid out with generous size spaces, some suitable for 45 foot coaches. The sites are inserted into pre-existing natural vegetation that provides varying amounts of privacy and in some cases even some shade. Roads and pads are gravel. Electric, water, sewer, and Wi-Fi worked well. They have a realistic dog policy - just pick up after walking them anywhere in the park, and no limit on number. The longer term residents are located chiefly in one area of the park. The price shown is the daily rate includes tax. We will stay here on our next visit to Silver City. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

This is a very quiet park (next to a cemetery) with lots of shrubs and fences separating the large sites. Ours was a pull-through with dead-level gravel. There's a sizable area behind the last row of sites which makes a great place to walk dogs. Laundry room was clean and tidy with large capacity washers and driers. We will definitely stay here again.
