A very pleasant park near the center of town. Nice trees, friendly hosts and quiet. A nice dog park for our four-footed friend to explore off-leash. We just stayed one night but I could easily see spending several days here. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Motorhome.

A great little park close to downtown Silver City. It has a store in the office that serves fresh brewed, selected coffees and pastries. Pull thru sites accommodate 36 foot RV's or less. My 40' plus 18' trailer backed into overflow sites with FHU but only 30A service. Office staff and camp hosts are very friendly. Some full time campers but many campers in and out. I would certainly stay here again if the need arises. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Many sightseeing activities close by, like Cliffs Dwellings, Catwalk, Gila National Forest. An 18 hole golf course is walkable and challenging. Western New Mexico University operates the golf course. $19 for 18 holes walking, the way golf was intended!!!

Great staff and very nice park close to historical downtown Silver City. The park was easy to access with clean easily accessible sites and facilities. Wonderful staff at the front desk guiding us in to the park location and on arrival selecting the right site for us based on our needs. Highly recommended! We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were told $30 cash $33 credit card. Checks are $3.00 a night more. The trailers are packed on top of each other. Dogs are an issue. The camp hosts were friendly and the neighbors were friendly. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sorry for your unhappiness, but lets's be completely truthful here. Number one, When you made your reservation, you gave us an incorrect size for your rig and my work campers had to fit you in a site that we would not normally assign to a rig your size. Second, we give a "cash discount." The reason we give a "cash" discount is because cash saves us the merchant as well as the check fees that our bank charges. It's business, not personal. We've never had a complaint about giving a discount. Our sites are not on top of each other. We are an in-town park with limited land. That's why you can walk downtown from our park. When we get the correct rig size, we assign an appropriate spot.

This is a decent, reasonably priced place to use as a base to explore the area as long as you don't mind being in an urban setting. I chose this place to stay because $175 for FHU for a week is a great value and because it was "walking distance" to the historic downtown area. Well, it probably is if you are younger than I and in better shape! For me, it was not a comfortable distance. That was ok though because I found the town disappointing. Not nearly as charming as I expected and very few restaurants. The RV park was very clean, owners very friendly, and all the hookups worked fine. Most sites are used by long term residents, though, and there aren't a lot of spaces available for short term stays. Some of the sites are also quite small and some seem like they would be very difficult for a big rig to access so I suggest calling ahead. The laundry room is small with four washers and dryers but the prices are good and everything was in working order. No coin changer, though. The restroom/showers were also clean, bright, and modern. Especially appreciated the holders in the shower stalls for your bath products and a hair dryer, at least in the ladies' shower. Good pressure and lots of hot water too. Also, a nice size dog-run that the pup enjoyed using. Wi-fi even worked some of the time. Verizon signal was strong. My only complaint was that although the park itself was very quiet there were emergency vehicles racing by a block away with sirens blaring at least a half dozen times a day. In 19 months on the road, I've never experienced anything like it. Guess all the emergency services must be located nearby. Probably would not stay again simply because we prefer to be further away from town, but that's the only reason. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Nice, quiet park. Our site was tight for our 36 ft. travel trailer and was a back in site. Very hard to get into due to railing along the restroom/shower facilities. Would stay here again if could get a pull through. Most spaces are taken up by permanent renters. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a little coffee shop on premises that offers typical coffee drinks along with thinkings called mini donuts which really aren't much more than mini funnel cakes in your choice of glaze. Within walking distance of downtown Silver City where all the action and galleries are. Extremely quiet considering it's location. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are coming off of Highway 90 you might miss the Hudson Street cutoff that my GPS told me to take. No problem however, as the next street down also gets you to the site.

As stated before me, excellent little park. Rates based on monthly stay $450.00 including electric, sewer, cable, Wi-Fi, and water.

Supermarket across the street.Historic downtown within 5 blocks. Wi-Fi left a lot to be desired. Must be 30 restaurants within walking distance. Laundry and showers were spotless. Owners take real pride in this park. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for the 5th time for a week while supporting son racing the Tour of the Gila. Great, convenient location; close to Gough Park, the Food Basket, and downtown eateries.

Good shade by cottonwood trees, though higher winds get smaller branches flying about.

Sites are gravel. Could have another toilet (only one); 2 showers, 2 sinks, 1 urinal.

Half of the sites are permanents; couple of tent sites with green grass. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park, a little tight for a bigger rig, but staff were very helpful in navigating. Excellent location in walking distance to small park which had a weekend festival in play; grocery store an easy walk as well.
Dog park is a highlight (as others have mentioned).

Helpful, friendly staff. Park is located one block off one of the main streets and within walking distance of a grocery store and several restaurants. Camper spaces are quite close together and maneuvering room somewhat restricted. Normal nightly rate is $33 but cash payment resulted in $30. We stayed three nights and would return. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We have been on the road now for over two months, and have stayed at many parks throughout NM and CO. This is by far our favorite park we have visited. The showers are top notch, and even the laundry area is excellent, new machines, very inexpensive, and they even have books to read while doing your laundry. The sites are easily accessible, with everything conveniently located to the needs of your vehicle. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And one of our favorite things here is the feel of the place. It is full of trees, very shady, flowers and other plants are everywhere. And, everything is nearby. The historic downtown is a nice 10 minute walk from the park, the grocery store is one block away, the post office is nearby if you need to deal with outgoing or incoming mail. At the front office, they supply a nice collection of books and DVDs at no charge (just be sure and return them for other guests). Oh, and I can't forget the dog run. Lots of parks use the phrase "pet friendly," but in many cases, they are just "pet tolerant." But this place is actually pet friendly. The dog run is large enough for your little friends to stretch their legs a bit, and waste bags are supplied. Our dogs love the place, and look forward to their walks down to the dog run. It is the perfect RV Park, with a very settled and homey feel to it. When traveling in southwest New Mexico, this will be home to us. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Rate based on weekly rate of $160, taxes included. That rate went up to $175 during our stay. We had a 50 amp gravel / stone pull through full hookups with cable and Wi-Fi that was on the slow side. Most sites are level and and vary quite a bit in size. This park is not big rig friendly, 40' max. It can be tight, but a few sites work. The cable lineup is pretty good, 24 stations in all. We picked this park for the cable. It is also walking distance to the Historic Downtown area. While we had no problems here, there is a lot of foot traffic on 13th street. There is a foot bridge that crosses the creek near the back corner of the RV Park. That area is not the best and you may see some 'homeless types' passing by. In fact my wife even asked if there was a homeless shelter back there. One afternoon, a car pulled up 13th and a women hopped out, looked around and then squatted and urinated 50' from us! Dogs barking all night long, but not real close. If we had satellite TV, we would have stayed elsewhere. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Motorhome.

OK park, gravel sites, clean, the utilities work. Spaces are a little tight and some can be a little difficult to get in to. Stayed three days to hike, see the Gila ruins and walk around the shops downtown. The reason for the "5" rating was that after setting up and going to the office to pay, I was told that for the 3rd night I would have to move to another site. When calling ahead for reservations, I was told not a problem for 3 nights, which is technically correct, but who wants to move in a small park for one night. Somehow they were able to move things around in the 'computer' and we did not have to move sites. Lesson learned; when making reservations ask if the total number of nights are for the same site. Seems like a dumb question as one would assume it is for the same site. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
