Made reservations the day before. The very kind gentleman seemed happy we would arrive before 6pm. I did not see a cut off time on web site, but late arrivals might not be an option here. The place is described exactly on he internet. The grounds are very well kept, and all services work, and are in good repair. This is a great overnight place on a historic Route 66 motel site. Wifi works great during their advertised hours. A gem in the desert for those self contained just needing a quiet place to stop. Would definitely stop here again. The staff are very nice. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a no frills rv park, exactly as their website says. They have full hookups, 30 and 50 amps and cable. Some sites have shade. There are restaurants within walking distance. We did not hear much for traffic noise and only one train off in the distance. The woman that checked us in was very nice and walked us to our site. It is not a big park but it is clean. There are no showers or restrooms and they don't have a store. I will stay here again. I encourage you to look at their web page. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Go to their website and read the description. This park is exactly as advertised, nothing more, nothing less; a clean park with full hookups conveniently located on level dirt/gravel sites. Fast, friendly check-in. Nothing fancy here, but they don't pretend to be or charge as such. Love the Route 66 vibe. We will always stay here when passing through Tucumcari. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very basic park located on busy Route 66 so some street noise. NO RESTROOMS or SHOWERS, but full hookups. Everything worked as it should. Grounds were neat and clean with shade on some sites. Entrance and exit are one way with no turn around. We had to back up to sidewalk. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was what we needed a place to park...we got it. No extras here. Site Good Wifi good Verizon good for cell Cable good Staff good, took u to your site. Dels Restaurant short walk, Closed on Sunday. Not sure we really got our passport discount rate, as can't think anyone would really pay $40.00 a night. There isn't much here in Tucumcari, NM. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Just here for an overnight stay. Lady in office was all business. Had a sign on the wall that said "This is a business! No personal questions! She did lead us to our site. The site was level and spacious. Easy access to the main road through town. We would stay here again. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is strictly a park and sleep type of park. The park is very run down as is most of Tucumcary. Plenty of room for big rigs we did not have to unhook the toad. The utilities all worked. There are two very good restaurants within walking distance. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you read their website there is no pretense about this park. Good for an overnight stay when you're tired and have no where else to go.

No washrooms, old motor lodge that's beaten down. All gravel, no trees.

Wifi that's shut down at 10:00. (So people don't stay on it all night and not leave at check out the next day.)

The best thing about this place is the restaurant down the street and the awesome route 66. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bring earplugs. This gravel and rock parking lot of an RV park is near railroad tracks. The sites are close together. There are few trees. This RV park is strictly for an overnight stay. It's very Spartan. There are no picnic tables . There is a huge overflow lot in the back that is great for walking dogs. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The park consistently provides a good overnight stay at a reasonable price. Friendly check-in and escort to our site, a long, level gravel pull-thru with shade. Convenient hookups, quiet location, and walking distance to a good restaurant. Extensive analog cable TV, and most sites have a clear view of satellites. Good Verizon cell/data, and the park WiFi worked well. Can be a bit dusty as RVs arrive/depart, but overall well worth the price. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Motorhome.

No grass, all gravel sites and roads. Some have trees, most don't. Cable at all sites, no antenna TV. On Historic Route 66, in town. No laundry, but a reasonable one about 1/2 mile away. WiFi is the real negative....works fine, but NOT available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Real bummer. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Talk about turning a sows ear into a silk purse this "campground" is an old Route 66 Motel which is no longer a motel but the camping facilities have been built around the motel to the extent that one unit has been "removed" to allow a drive through circuit. The lady who met us was very helpful and the campground it self is very tidy. Services are all good and we were lucky to get one of the sites with some shade (95F/35C day). Sites are close together but as 99% of campers are overnighters passing through this is not a biggy. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice over night stop away from interstate. Nice level site with full hookups. We were led to the site but I saw no numbering. Cable was good water pressure was low. This is an old RT66 motor stop. Buildings are in disrepair and I suspect the cost to fix would out weight any advantage to restoration. PA shows 18.00 rate I was charged 22.00 with PA card and cash. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is right on RT66. We were here on a Sunday and most everything was closed. Dels next door has good food, I have eaten there before when I attended collage in town.

It's a former motor hotel that has been closed for probably 25 years. The old rooms and garages are historical landmarks. I-40 closed this hotel like hundreds of other motels along the main streets interstates bypassed. You need a self contained RV for showers/bathroom. The electrical, water and sewers were in great shape and level. The woman on duty was very helpful in directing me to set up. It's a good price for an overnight stay. I had no issues with road noise or dogs barking. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It was just an overnight stay but I would recommend Del's restaurant, a very short walk down main street. It's been around 60 years and the service and food was very good. I recommend the green chili stew. Outstanding! I would like to visit some of the historical sites down old Hiway 66 in this town next time I drive through.
