First, the staff are top notch; very friendly and very accommodating.

We were assigned to a wooded area but had difficulty maneuvering our rig. So we asked to be moved to the field.

We were here on Labor Day weekend so we did expect it to be crowded.

Still it was very quiet And the quiet time was quiet!

We would return this campground. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

This "resort" would best be described as a traditional trailer park. Many "seasonals" are present. We spoke to one very nice lady who has lived there for 12 years. Our campsite was level and FHU under the spreading pine trees. Our site was way in the back, so it was either drive to the front or hike. The on-site cafe was very nice. Food was good. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

We have been members of this campground for 29 years, the price per day without membership is $60 plus. We have seen it go downhill. They now allow yearly site rental and sale of cabins. Most sites are maintained but others are poor. Cable TV very poor, said they are upgrading. Water has a horrible smell. Grounds are well maintained. Restrooms are dated. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

When we called to make a reservation, we were told that they did not make reservations, so imagine my surprise when we arrived and was asked did we have a reservation. Person who I talked to on the phone was rude. Staff when we arrived was very nice. Spaces are very close together, and most campers are residents. They charge extra for everything, internet, cable, 50 amps. Our site did not have sewage. I would not stay here again. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here overnight in July and then again in August. A reasonable stop on the way to and from New England/Canada.

Nice level back-in sites with some grass and mostly dirt. Many activities for seasonals and members. We did not use any of them, but they are available. $2/day charge for cable (which you need).

We will stay here again. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

We were at this park over July 4th weekend and it was way overbooked. It is an old park located in a valley where campfire smoke was irritating unless you don't mind breathing constant smoke. It was a bit noisy because of the number of people and we were close to the office area. There is only one way in and out over a wooden bridge so there is a lot of traffic. We used the Adult Center bathrooms, which ran out of paper and were not cleaned very well. However, in its day I'm sure this was a beautiful resort. There are lots of activities planned and plenty for kids to do if you want to give them money for the arcade and ice cream. It had a little grill open so you could eat at the park. There are many seasonal campers, most of them keep their own sites pretty and neat. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Tent Trailer.

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $60.00

This was our 6th stay at Rondout Valley. When we found this campground in 2000 as we started out as full time RVers we used it as a base to visit family. We loved the park. It was, and remains, a very family and kid friendly park. We always had a decent site although the last time in 2011 we had trouble getting a site to use our dish which is important to us. Now that Thousand Trails/Encore is involved with the campground we thought we would find improvements, especially for the $60 per night rate when Passport America rates are not valid. We found no improvements which makes the $60 rate very high for this campground. One day we walked outside to the heavy smell of sewer. Another day I started to take a shower and the water coming out had a disgusting sulfur smell. I had to ask my wife to go outside to turn off the water so I could switch to the water pump and use the water in the tank.

Also, when I called to make a reservation I told them it was necessary to get a full hookup site that will allow use of the dish. I was told no problem, but when we got there we were told there were no such sites and we had to take a water/electric site in the rally field. Very disappointed in this park. It seemed a better park before Thousand Trails got involved. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

The rate reflects Thousand Trails Membership for 50 amp service. This campground was getting ready to open for the Memorial Day season. There were not too many there other than the annuals but the closer the the weekend came the more packed it became, which is good for them. The pool was in great condition, they have activities planned and a very pleasant atmosphere. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Great staff. Well maintained campground. This campground has a beautiful layout with a rumbling creek running through it. There is also a nice pool and recreation area. We were there too early for most activities, but they are set up for many events over the summer. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Staff was very nice and helpful. We stayed here while getting our motorhome serviced. They nicely placed us near the showers. The spaces are super spacious. Showers were very clean. There are a lot of permanent campers and for the most part they keep their spaces neat and attractive. We would stay here again if we come to the area. Rate reflects RPI discount plus cable. Roads are good, paved going into and around the campground. Sites are gravel and grass. Good phone service. Wi-Fi only at office. Good cable. All utilities fine. Nicely laid out. Security great. Wooded where we were. So shaded, we couldn't set up satellite but as I said cable was great. The site was just wide and long enough. It was close but not as bad as other places. II would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

We found this campground to be over crowded and expensive when compared to other campgrounds in the area. Unless you are a member of Encore you can not stay at this site. It did not work for us since we do not belong to Encore. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Great park and would have given a 10 except that Wi-Fi at the site was not available. Very neat and tidy, even the long term camper sites. Our site was level and very generous in size. We backed up to a lovely wooded creek. This is a wonderful park for families because there are lots of activities for kids in addition to the usual pool and playground. Would definitely stay here again. Our rate reflects an RPI membership. They are also a Thousand Trails park. We camped at Rondout Valley Resort Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.
