Located 6 mi off main highway on a well surfaced but hilly, winding road. We managed ok with 39ft mh. Road into park as well as roads to sites are very rough. Sites are back in and not level. The pool is closed, empty and falling apart. On a more positive note --. The bathroom, shower, and laundry room is modern and very clean. Many of the sites full hookup with sewer and 50amp. The owner and hosts are very friendly and helpful. Much for kids to do. The best way to describe this park is rustic, very rustic. We camped at SoHi Campground in a Motorhome.

The pool and mini golf which were advertised on their website and their Facebook page, were awful. The pool was in the process of being torn out, maybe? Just wish they would have updated on their facebook, the mini golf was overgrown and covered with water. Other than that, the staff is friendly and the place is nice and quiet & the campgrounds themself were close, but fine. We camped at SoHi Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed at SoHi Campground for the past 3 years and really enjoy the rustic atmosphere. They have spacious sites with plenty of room. The owner has become a good friend and will assist you in any way he can. As an appreciation to his campers he often gives a FREE Sunday breakfast. There are FREE movies, mini golf, basketball, large playground, pool, paddle boats and much more. You will not regret staying at SoHi. We can not say enough about the place and look forward to returning every year! We camped at SoHi Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park was in terrible condition. The sites that were available were terrible. Nothing to do and no place to go. Save the 45 dollars and stay home. The hook ups were in bad shape, the activity areas were not open such as the pool. Most of the sites were not cleared or level. We camped at SoHi Campground in a Motorhome.

Very winding, six mile road to this campground. We were assigned the "large" site by the entrance and planned on staying two nights. We were told to back in over the PVC pipes and eight inch ridge extending across the front of the sites. After much maneuvering we were able to get the coach fairly level and still reach the 50 amp outlet. The campsite didn't look like it had been cleaned up since the campground opened earlier in the month. A lot of the RVs in the campground appeared to be seasonal or possibly year round.

On the second day the owner stopped by to say hello. After he left I started to fill the water tanks and noticed the water was brown. I spoke to the owner again and he said the chlorinator wasn't working and told me to not drink the water. We hadn't been notified of this upon arrival or when I first spoke to him. Fortunately we had not filled the tank. He said the restrooms and showers were very clean but when I checked the men's room and shower it was filthy with muddy floors in both areas. I told the owner we wanted our money back for the second night, he returned our check. We left late afternoon and went on to Saugerties, NY! We camped at SoHi Campground in a Motorhome.

This appeared to be the best option for our visit to the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary. The next time we volunteer at the sanctuary we'll find a different campground. Good vegetarian/vegan dining options at the Rosendale (NY) Cafe.

This camp has resort facilities such as an elaborate playground, fishing pond and pool. It is heavily wooded except for several sites in a field where satellite dishes can work. Don't arrive at night without arranging for camp personnel; there are complicated pathways and few lights. Don't miss the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts: it is on the grounds of the original Woodstock Festival and elaborately commemorates the event. We camped at SoHi Campground in a Motorhome.

Three scenic drives are mapped out online. The north loop of the Shawangunk mountain ridge, entirely paved, had stops for museums, the old New York canal and a state forest. The Hudson River Valley rail trail bicycle trip features a 1.3 mile walkway over the river.

The Alfred University Forest People Outdoor Club truly enjoyed our stay. Management was extremely friendly and helpful, even cooking us breakfast one morning! Our site was isolated from other sites, making us feel like we were truly camping in the great outdoors with all the amenities of a full-blown campground. I would highly recommend So-Hi to anyone. The site was very rocky. Trash was present on the site. It was very difficult to get level and a long stretch to the hookups once I was as level as I could be. I got an eerie feeling as I drove in. The place looked very run down and unappealing. When I entered the restroom that evening it was disgusting. The main restroom is fairly modern, with three toilets. One was broken, one was filthy and the other broken. To their credit it was cleaned up in the morning, but I was not comfortable staying there at all. We camped at SoHi Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice place to spend a week or two, they have a special discount rate of $225.00 for a week stay that is less expensive than any other place we looked at in the region. They had a large selection of sites to choose from and things to do like mini golf and a great pool. It was located near the mountain trails we like to hike and bike. Can not say enough about the owner who did his most to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We highly recommend this campground! We camped at SoHi Campground in a Motorhome.

Spent the week and explored the area. There was more to do than we could do in a week, so we will be back soon. This was a great campground to vacation at. It was a pleasant relief from the heat of Florida and the grand kids love the fishing and pool. I still can't beat them at Mini Golf, but it was FREE. Also Sunday Breakfast and the Saturday Night Move were FREE. Plenty to do in camp and plenty of nice restaurants in the area to choose from. The area was very organic in nature and filled with lots of artists. An interesting place to visit! We camped at SoHi Campground in a Motorhome.

Arrived in afternoon, owner took us around to see what site our 40' coach would fit in. He himself was so helpful that we will be back. it is nice when you ask for something, the help don't say let me check for you.

Very good service. The site was very quiet. Some sites may be a issue. Big rig friendly. The roads can use a little tree trimming. We camped at SoHi Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park was truly "in the wild!" Lots of trees and very unkempt grounds. They did have a small pool. Every time we went outside, we had to watch for snakes, which were plentiful. Most staff were not particularly helpful, but the owner was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We truly felt like his main goal was for us to have a good experience in New York City. This was one of the few parks close to New York City that we could find. It is kind of out in the boondocks. The bus station is 30 minutes from the park, and it is an hour and a half bus ride to the city. $17 each way during the week; $12 on weekends.

We have returned for the summer this year to find even more improvements to SO-HI. We just love the rustic wilderness setting and the friendly atmosphere. The tranquil shaded sites give protection from the summer heat and make it possible to spend lots of time outside. Isn't that what camping is all about? The rates are very reasonable when compared to other campgrounds in the Catskills and the amenities are more than adequate.

I highly recommend this campground. It is family friendly and has plenty to do for those who want to be active and lots of laid back for those who want to be a camper potato!

I say try it, you'll like it! We camped at SoHi Campground in a Motorhome.
