This was our second time camping here, hoping things had improved since the first, but we came for the Halloween weekend and free haunted house that is put on by a large family that camps there. The haunted house was excellent and my kids were scared! However, things were not better, the owners and staff are miserable and very unfriendly. They are not kid friendly, and do not want kids in the store even if they have money to spend. The bathrooms and showers are very old and very dirty. I would not shower in there. The activities are minimal, they did have ceramic painting for the kids. The campground also had a haunted house and hay ride, but those you had to pay extra for. I will never go back to this campground again, it is not a family friendly place, they are more interested in having older people with no kids as a seasonal site. First time staying here. It was recommended and was very nice. Sites are large and spacious. Most are well-kept up seasonals. People were very nice here. Campground is very large and very spread out. You could camp here in gravel, in grass, on the creek, on a stream, etc. Pool is small but nice. They have a few good activities each day, as well as an arcade, store, pond, waterfall/creek, activities center, horseshoe pit, hiking trail, and 2 playgrounds. Loved $5 homemade breakfast option on Sunday. Price is excellent for area, a good 10-15 dollars cheaper than most others, which is why we will come here often. They do not allow any babies or children who are not potty trained in the pool, which is the first I've ever heard of that, although rules were very comparable to other campgrounds we've stayed in otherwise. They keep a person at the entrance the entire time the store is open to direct traffic and control visitors. Owners and employees were nice. The price alone will keep us coming back! This is an older well kept campground. We stayed over Columbus Day weekend and all sorts of planned activities were offered. (Bingo, Hayride, Haunted House, etc.) This is a very family oriented campground. The camp hosts were very friendly. This is a family run campground that is fairly large in size, but the owners were extremely organized. The entrance road is steep, but we had no trouble with a 37' fifth wheel and tow vehicle. The on site waterfalls were beautiful. I don't think 50 amp service is offered. The 30 AMP service wasn't the greatest we've experienced. Cable TV (Time Warner) with about 80 channels is available for $2.50 a night. This park is very reasonably priced at $28 per night base rate for full hookups ($31 on holiday weekends.) This campground is a good base for exploring Letchworth State Park, but the Arts and Crafts festival at Letchworth over Columbus Day forced bumper to bumper traffic through the park and made it hard to enjoy. I would recommend this campground for anyone wanting to tour Letchworth or just relax for a weekend or long weekend. I would stay here again We camped at Sun Valley Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Absolutely love being at this place. We have made many friends over the years through multiple trips. The grounds are large and scenic. Schedules include plenty to do for kids and adults. Store is well stocked, propane available and so much more. Restrooms are clean, showers are hot and powerful. This is a great kid friendly place to camp or an adult place to escape and have a nice relaxing weekend. Very popular, worthy of visiting over and over. We were here with friends. Nice campground and attentive personnel who escort you via golf cart to your site. It rained buckets when we were there and thus lots of mud due to lack of grass in some areas. Some larger stone is also needed on some of the roadways. The basic rate for WES was $ 28.00 (no AAA or Good Sam discounts). One must pay extra for cable if desired and AC if you run yours. It was hot and we did and paid each day. The pool is small but was a welcome relief. The waterfalls are also a great place to cool off. Many streams around to. The seasonals are kept up nice - probably the nicest I've ever seen and they don't seem to have any dumpy ones. One big complaint is the dump station is on an incline and we were unable to dump our tanks out completely and then had to go to our county park and finish dumping there. (We paid for sewer but we couldn't reach it with our 20' hose.) Like the previous poster said, the campground is in a valley - down a steep road and then you must climb road on the way out. Make sure your tow vehicle can pull your rig from a dead stop up a steep hill before you go. We camped at Sun Valley Campsites in a Travel Trailer.Undo

There are some very nice sites here and some that are not very big at all. Some sites are along the Canaseraga Creek which can have a very wonderful sound when it is rushing past. The owners run a "tight ship." Visitors must pay a fee to visit. There is a pool and some limited activities. The best activity if you are into hiking is to hike the waterfall and glen pools that are on the property. These are really pretty. CG is very near Stony Brook State Park. There are many seasonal sites but are kept very nicely. "No trailer park trashy areas." We went with some friends and had a nice fire and a good time. Be careful getting into the park. It is doable with larger rigs but there is a STEEP hill going into the campground and then you must climb that hill going out. Do not attempt if you don't have the right tow vehicle. There is also a steep short hill right on top of the office that you must go down and then stop to register. After registering they do escort you to the site and make sure you can reach the water and electric, etc. They also charge extra for cable and if you run your AC.
