1 Park near Campbell, New York
May 2016 - $36.00
This CG near Corning, NY seems to be mostly for local/regional seasonal campers. It was fine for an overnight stay. Kids would probably like it. IMHO it lacks charm. Most of the sites are occupied by older campers which obviously don't move. It is very clean now (early May). - virginianola

Close to I-86. Very nice place. Large, extremely clean bathrooms. We registered for one night. We liked it here so much that we stayed a second night. We'll stay here again. - tomnorman457

This was a wonderful campground for an over night stay driving across ny state. I don't remember the exact price we paid but it was well worth it. Pull thru sites large enough to stay hooked up which is a plus for me when looking for just an overnight stop. A lot of them faced each other which would have been even better if traveling with parents and their camper like we do a lot of the time. The playground was wonderful. The pool looked great (even though it was closed as we where here in October). The person checking me in was very friendly and helpful (owner maybe?). Yes there were a lot of permanent sites but they where well maintained.
The possible downsides: some traffic noise (but to be expected with a place easy off easy on). The overnight spots lacked shade from what I could see (no problem in October). No sewer hook ups but an easy to get to dump station. The site was grass which was great for our son and dogs to play in but might be a problem with heavy rain.
We will stay here again for an overnight (drive across by state at least twice a year)and might stay a few nights to explore this area time permitted. - tsbrown73
