Jun 2016 - $35.00
Large grassy sites with trees and lots of privacy foliage. Pavilion, ball field, badminton, pool. A great place for a family. We would definitely stay again. One of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at. When visiting this area, I would stay here again. It was perfect for us. - dhs
Sep 2009 - $28.00
Great site in September, very quiet, but judging from the number of seasonal sites, I suspect it might be a bit more active in the summer. The falls are fantastic. Easy to get into and out of the sites. We would stay there again when in the area. - j&k
Aug 2015 - $28.00
This is a combination permanent, seasonal, and transient park. Everyone was very friendly and helpful; including all our seasonal neighbors. Someone from the office will lead you to your site as there are a lot of roadways throughout the park. Roads are gravel with many speed bumps. Sites are a mix of gravel and grass with all utilities located at the back. Site 24 was long and wide enough for plenty of room around all 4 slides. Book and DVD exchange in the office. - DiplomatTraveler
Jul 2011 - $39.00
There were lots of seasonal rigs but we stayed one night and were comfortable. We had a back-in site for our 33 foot 5th wheel. The site dropped off at the rear but we had no trouble leveling with just our jacks. Connections were at the extreme rear of the site so we had to use extensions. The path to our site was a ways, narrow, and winding, but we were led there and had no trouble. We had to place our dish almost on the empty adjacent site but were able to get a good Direct TV signal. We had a nice walk around the stream and lake, and all the seasonal folks were very friendly. We didn't use the laundry, restrooms, etc., but they looked nice. We would stay again. - RVLive
Sep 2010 - $33.00
It is a large campground with mostly seasonal campers. The interior roads are narrow and winding. Our site was a large back-in. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were pleased to find this campground because it was not in our campground directory. - Slinkie
Jul 2016 - $35.00
Nice little camp lots of trees, has showers, family owned, has sited by the water. Nice little rec hall, great people running the place. Its a little old but its in the trees, quiet.
We love the place because its friendly, family owned, its not perfect but the owners are very helpful, and willing to help campers.
You can also fish in the salmon river at the campground, or go tubing.
Nice little campground. Our stay is always pleasant.
Its a bit dated in some areas, its certainly not the ritz of campgrounds, but sometimes people trump perfection... And its quiet. - Aseries
Jun 2017 - $38.00
The sites were right on the river, very nice. Showers require quarters so we didn't use them, we were in just for the night. Friendly staff. Grounds were east to get into from the road. - MCHug
Aug 2014 - $27.00
This campground was easy to access from the highway and easy to get around in. It is located on a nice small river and we enjoyed a good cookout and music gathering on the weekend. The grass pull-through sites are not level and we had to request a different site because we could not get leveled even with blocks. The friendly owners put us on another site that was a little more level. We only had 30 amps and low voltage did cause us some issues when running one A/C and the water heater. The Wi-Fi was slow and there is no cable or OTA channels available and we had a weak Verizon signal. They were a Passport America campground but dropped out. Even with these issues we enjoyed this park and would stay here again if in the area. - dandg
Aug 2014 - $32.00
We have stayed here before on our way east and it continues to be our choice. We had a pull-through so did not need to detach the toad. Nice owners and mostly Canadian campers. Place is for sale so someone has a great opportunity here. - Aftica
Jul 2014 - $41.00
We primarily chose this campground for a weekend getaway due to its proximity to Montreal. You can’t beat a drive of about an hour! The campground is well laid out and has a choice of primitive sites as well as those with power and others with both power and water. Ours had both and the rate reflects this. There are two playgrounds and some organized activities for younger kids. The views of the St. Lawrence, the ship traffic, the south shore of the river and the foothills of the Adirondacks on the horizon are spectacular. One downside was the train horns at night. We ran our ventilation fan the second night and that helped. Also, although they do their best to clean it up daily, there was Canada Goose poop on the beach. Lastly, while swimming, the kids and I went out too far (beyond the sandy area) and cut our feet on zebra mussels, which we didn’t know were a hazard! We reported it to the friendly and helpful staff and they posted warnings right away. Despite these hitches, we'll certainly go to this campground again. - Hit The Road
May 2010 - $40.00
We visited this Provincial park in May. It was still too cool for the beach. The campground features many shaded camp sites as well as those that are more exposed. Like most Ontario Provincial parks, there are no full hookup sites. The centrally located dump station offers easy access. The campground is located along Lake St Francis where there is lots of fishing. The premises were clean and well maintained. Since it was early in the season, we were practically the only ones there. That was great. The bicycle path just outside the campground takes you out to some very picturesque areas. We have come to this campground several times and enjoy each visit. - dmfcamper
Aug 2018 - $70.00
This is not a park for Class A Motorhomes. Beware...although we received assurances that we would be able to access our site easily, it was very difficult to get in because of overgrown trees, cars parked along the roadway within the park and sharp right hand turns. Staff failed to understand that Class A motorhomes don't bend in the middle. This is also an overpriced park considering there was no sewer hookups at our site, nor was the dump station accessible for a large Motorhome. Staff was not accommodating or receptive when I brought concerns to them. This park would be fine, albeit expensive, for smaller trailers as they have a nice beach for kids and families. I would have expected to be told honestly about difficulties we might encounter, but it appeared to me that they would tell you anything to get you in there. - Cmac23
Aug 2018 - $65.00
Not for big rigs. Narrow roads with very tight turns. We took some scratches getting in here. We had to position between trees to put out slides. We were less than 12' away from trees. Site was barely wide enough to get all tires on gravel. Wouldn't do it again. For smaller rigs looking for a place that is more camping and less RV Resort, this is a good stop; albeit pricey. Lots of trees and privacy. Fire rings for nice camp fire. Many sites are grass. However, there is quite a bit of trash and undone maintenance that makes the park 'rustic'. Pricey for what you get. - We Full Time
Sep 2013 - $38.00
This past weekend my family and I spent the weekend at in the non-serviced sites by the water (422). The view at this site was amazing! This came with a premium of extra $$$ per night which is fully understandable. What is unacceptable was the pile of rubbish that was within 100ft of our campsite. At first I thought it was just a large pile of wood to be burned in the off season. However upon closer inspection I saw there was garbage bags, old furniture, and even baby diapers within the pile. I find this disgusting and I feel that this should not be considered acceptable at any campground, especially when paying a premium. Second issue was on the Saturday night there was some sort of volunteer party being held on site. This party went on until 2 am with loud music and screaming that could be heard from our site. What was even worse was to arrive at the men's bathroom the next morning with my son only to find what i believe to be vomit in one of the urinals. Overall we had an enjoyable weekend but due to the above mentioned negative points I would not consider coming back. Very beautiful campsite but what I witnessed this weekend makes me wonder about respect for fellow campers. - highguage
