Going in blind, we didn't know what to expect. We showed up after dark and were helped by the owners in getting into place in our site. They didn't even worry about us paying until the next day. I don't think we have ever had a site so spacious and the view from the top of the hill is spectacular. Owners are very friendly, as are the other campers. Many seasonal sites but they are very well kept and seem to be very nice. Only down fall was the cable reception was very poor. We will go back again next year for the towns fall festival. We camped at Tumble Hill Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice quiet park on a hillside. Steep entry, difficult for some. Mixture of sites, some large, some small. All fairly well kept. That is the positive. The very large negative was the lack of water. No mention of the problems when making reservations, but shown a water schedule after making the payment. The owner said we could fill our own tank, but it probably wouldn't be necessary. However, the schedule was far from accurate. We only had water for about two hours during a two night stay. Also, the boil water warning form the county health department was only posted in the bath house. One of our neighbors was drinking it before finding out. On the second day a camp host asked us to sign off regarding the boil water notice. This was our second try at this campground. The first included very loud and drunken behavior by seasonal workers. We will not stay here again. We camped at Tumble Hill Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful sites in woods which provide lots of shade. Most sites large with plenty of room. Park is very well maintained. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom stalls are small and a bit cramped, shower was large. Wi-Fi is very limited. Cable TV excellent. Due to trees, very limited satellite TV reception. We'll stay here again. We camped at Tumble Hill Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a very nice, wooded, secluded, large and level site. Too many trees for our satellite dish but their cable was good. No Wi-Fi. Their were a few negatives. The road in and out is a very steep gravel road. We picked up an infestation of sap beetles. These are small winged insects that appeared on our screen door as soon as we arrived. Enough of them got in as we went in and out, so we were vacuuming them up for days. We will not stay again because of the steep road and the beetles. We camped at Tumble Hill Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $30.00

Small, very clean, and very friendly. Roomy sites with 50 Amp service (and good voltage levels) at no extra charge. Cable is excellent. Located in a very scenic, rural area. Not for you if you're looking for amusement parks or night clubs. If you want peace and quiet and a scenic area near a number of wineries and state parks, it's great. On a clear night there are more stars visible than in many parts of the Adirondacks. We camped at Tumble Hill Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Steep gravel road to campsites. Showers not well designed for convenience and privacy (Definitely not KOA standards). Swimming facilities not on site but close by. Campground setting is attractive, large sites, and well maintained. There are many permanent setups indicating a lot of folks like the place. If I return to the area I probably would opt for another campground. We camped at Tumble Hill Campground in a Travel Trailer.
