Great Campground for visiting Cooperstown or playing at Dream Parks! Very clean and very well run! I would recommend this campground to anyone. It made our 10 night stay a very good experience to remember forever. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very mixed feelings about this park. No cable TV is a known...but still frustrating when you also cannot get any over the air OR AM talk stations without interference. WIFI is advertised but there is NO throughput available. I used up my months data allocation on cell phone here.

The pool is small, warm, 4.5 ft deep and a few 8 buck plastic chairs are the only nod to poolside comfort. But clean, as are the bathrooms despite not being the most modern.

On the plus side: the setting is beautiful, the roads & sites are good & big. You can have open or shaded. It's a great place for baseball playing kids and the staff is warm and friendly and helpful.

It is the closest park to Cooperstown (wonderful) and you should come in on SEMINARY RD. from route 28. Not the CR11 your GPS will give you: which is a steep climb.

Overall: I'd stay here again if I wanted to see Cooperstown, but not for long! We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mel's At 22 restaurant in Cooperstown was superb and reasonable for adults.

Park your car in the BLUE lot 2 miles up 28 on right from park. Ride the trolley all day to everywhere you want to see for $2.

You should allow at least 1/2 day for the HOF museum: more if you're a big fan of baseball history.

By the ball park: you can test your fastball on radar and see if you can hit the curve in the batting cages.

This is a very nice, clean gated park. The entrance is beautiful and well maintained. We were on site F15, which was wooded. These sites are very spacious with lots of shade. There is lots of room for kids to play and two very clean dog parks. I give the park an extra point for recycling and for the dog park. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Motorhome.

Great clean and pretty campground. Note don't use your GPS for the final few miles, instead pass Hwy 11 and come in on Seminary rd and right onto Burke Hill Rd. small sign on left, it is an easier way in, you will miss the winding hilly road that way. Delightful host, easy drive into the Hall of Fame. Easy back ins and pull through sites. Here in October so almost had the place to ourselves. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

If you are planning to visit Cooperstown perhaps for your little league baseball at Dream Park or to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame then this is the campground you want to stay at. Just up the road, Seminary Rd., from Dream Park it has large state park types of campsites either shaded in really nice wooded areas or out in the open big rig friendly pull thrus or back in for those with satellite dishes. The site are crushed gravel almost concrete like. level side to side with front to back sloping. The roads are wide and clear of tree branches both overhead and side to side. They also have 26 cabins on site for those who wish to camp but don't have a RV. The owners are campers themselves and you can tell by the layout and care of their park. There is no cable nor I believe Wi-Fi, but I don't base reviews on either of those items, otherwise I would just stay home. Peace full and secure with a security gate that you get a pass key for when you check in. While we were there there was one heck of a thunder storm, just as we were about to start a campfire. Afterwards I took a walk around the campground and I was amazed of the drainage and water run off. No puddles, no muddy campsite, it was like it never rained! This is one of the nicest with the largest well laid out private campgrounds my wife and I have visited! We had site D6, a wooded pull thru site in July 2015. Excellent place to stay while in Cooperstown, just 5 miles outside of town. As a previous review stated, follow the website directions getting to the camp, very easy and less hills to climb. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cooperstown of course the Baseball Hall of Fame. Back Alley Grill across from the HOF on an alley for nice pub food, friendly staff and a couple of outdoor patios. Otesaga Resort Hotel rear lake facing veranda for snacks and drinks overlooking the lake on great rockers. In Milford, 5 miles from campground the Blues Train every Saturday night 7-10, just plain fun! Ommegang and Cooperstown Breweries each only 5 miles away.

Staff was very friendly. Grounds were very well maintained. Sites and roads were stone but sites were basically level. The WiFi, even though showing 4-5 bars was extremely slow and would constantly drop connection. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Motorhome.

I wish we had been able to stay more than two nights at this terrific campground. We were in town with the sole purpose of visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame, so I didn't pay much attention to the campground when booking. Therefore, I was surprised when we arrived at saw all that it has to offer. My children enjoyed the safe, modern playground and the clean, well-maintained pool. Of course it had a ball field (this is Cooperstown after all), and we saw several children out playing on it. The campground also offers paintball, but we didn't try that. We liked our level, shaded site in the forested section of the park. It reminded us of some of the nicer state parks we have visited. Bathrooms were very clean, and there were several of them, because this is a large campground. Camp owners and staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to stay past checkout so our children could swim before our long car ride. My dog's least favorite feature was the dog wash station near the camp office. Our terrier mix was very displeased when a delightful walk in the park turned into a bath for him. However the rest of our family were happy to get him bathed, because he was getting rather stinky. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful campground in the hills near Cooperstown, NY. We were there for a week while our son played at Dreams Park. It also happened to be HOF induction weekend when we arrived. So it was a very busy time there! The staff is the friendliest I have ever encountered, and no I don't know them nor am I related to them! Grounds/facilities are very well maintained. They let us have a team party there and we were the only ones from our group staying there! They are so kind! They don't run around on their golf cart yelling at everyone about rules like so many other places, they are too busy making the place great! We will be back for sure. Only complaint is there is no cable.......but we were so busy it didn't really matter. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The is a nice campground with level, gravel pads. We had a good back-in site with no trees, so we had no satellite issues. Since it is in a fairly rural area, be sure to follow the directions on the web site. We did not use any facilities, but would consider staying here again if in the area. We stayed here with a group to visit Cooperstown. The campground is clean and the sites are well laid out. I give this campground a lower rating for three reasons: 1) It's not close to the things you come to Cooperstown to see, 2) Wi-Fi was not good and very unreliable, 3) no cable and very limited local channels. For the price we would not stay here again. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Motorhome.

A great campground, very obvious the owners take pride in a clean place. We asked for and got an open site to use my satellite dish. Friendly front desk staff. Large pull thru mostly level with space between sites. Power was fine running two ACs. Water pressure good. Just a very few long term residents with very neat setups. No junky rigs anywhere. Very nice campground with long, gravel pull-through sites. Very close to Cooperstown and Dream Park. Very friendly staff and owners who went out of their way to be helpful. Be sure not to use GPS and follow the directions to campground provided by web site. We would stay here again. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park, but expensive. Many sites were in the open (mostly pull throughs). We stayed in a nice shaded area and it was a back in site. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Previous rating of "5" was a little harsh for the reasons given although "9 or 10" is equally out of bounds. Descriptions provided are accurate. The open areas of the CG are arranged to provide full sun all day, read that a no or very few sites will provide any shade by your rig/awning. Nice pool and gated access. Beware of the dog (excrement) in many grassy areas from the unleashed pets. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Motorhome.

This is basically a very nice park but somewhat a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in that the wooded campsites are very nice and rival a State Park for privacy and shade but the sites in the open are completely unshaded, yet they are adequately spaced. The tent sites were very nice as well and some were isolated from the rest of the park. The restrooms/showers by the office were clean and separate and the other bathhouse I visited was clean. The pool is very nice but a bit small and got crowded one evening. The internet was very erratic and could be slow at times which could have been caused by a small bandwidth available to the park itself. Even though this was Hall of Fame weekend at Cooperstown and the park was full it was generally very quiet and peaceful. With the internet so slow and the lack of cable I cannot give the park a higher rating but if we ever come to Cooperstown again, we will stay here. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Travel Trailer.
